WOW, I finished in the top 25 this week.

That means I'll probably be out next week.

Byes are going to make it interesting. I have Chester Taylor, Morency, Driver, Jennings, Williamson, Matt Jones, Gostkowski and Minny D all on byes this week. I clearly wasn't paying close enough attention when I chose my WRs. :wall:

With the exception of Simms, I've now used every player on my roster at least once. I hope that depth keeps me going...

made the cut with 109,unfortunately this only prolongs the agony as my qb's are culpepper, simms and warner.
Yeah, I'm in trouble this week too - Culpepper, Simms and Leftwich on bye this week. I'm hurting at WR too - Jennings (bye), Matt Jones (inj/bye), Williamson (bye), and maybe Roy Williams (inj) out this week. OUCH.

Week 5 winner, poised for the big money. Seems like the weekly winner should at least get a free subscription next year, how about it FFG's?

I am not a Gore Owner....I thought about it, but with Deuce and Bush both having the same bye week as well, it kept Gore off the Roster. Gore definitely was good value for the $10, but as some stated here, Bye weeks can be a killer if you did not consider them on a weekly basis for your team.

My Running backs are Dunn/Norwood, McAlister/Bush, Brandon Jacobs. I handcuffed my starters in case of injury, and took PPR into consideration. Hope it pans out for me!

:2cents:

It sucks having Gore on my Roster. While my $67 RB is hurt, all $10 Gore does is score me 20 points. Without Gore, I get a goose egg at RB and booted out of the contest. Darn, what a stupid, stupid pick. His score has only counted in 4 out of 5 weeks. Worst $10 I spent! And unlike any other player in the league, that idiot Gore has a bye week! What an idiot I am for picking a player who has a bye week. I feel so dumb.

It really is just sour grapes by non-Gore owners. If Ben Watson was blowing up every week, we'd be seeing a similar reaction by the few people who didn't drink the Watson Kool-Aid.

I'm happy to report I picked Gore at $10 even before the Barlow trade. I set the roster and totally forgot about it. Pleasant surprise to see him score for me most weeks. The picking early did get me David Boston, though, so at least $1 has apparently gone to waste.

:goodposting:Amazed that some people don't understand this strategy. I saw 3 pretty good RB bargins (Gore, Parker and Maroney) and decided that I only wanted one of them, so I choose Parker.

I survived last week (actually scored over 130) with both Rudi Johnson and TJ WhosYourDaddy on byes.

Peyton Manning and Fred Taylor will be no shows for me this week.

Right now I'm really wishing that the contest locked up before Gore was traded. A lot more people would have had him then... :kicksrock:

Some high scores posted in the early games. Cut line should be higher this week then it was in the previous 2 weeks.

Did a quick prelim score after the early games and I have 65.5 and the following left:

RB: Top 2 of LT2, Turner, and Gore

WR: Boldin and Bryant with my 2 lowest WR scores of 9 and 9.7

TE: Heath Miller

K: SeaBas (-6)

DEF: Top score between ARI and MIA.

Looks like I will be on the bubble again this week.

Despite only having 11 players/dt active for the 9 spots that will count, I am looking good at 106+ points with Gore and Barlow left. My only running back (Rudi) got 5.2 points.

116.2, with only Gore left to go.

And that is with zero out of my TEs, only 2 WRs playing (Glenn and Housh), and only 3 RBs playing this week (Gore, Henry, Rudi).

If I squeak my this week I am one lucky man

Gore for $10 was a steal and anyone not drafting him had to have an extrinsic motive. His price was set before the Barlow trade and that trade greatly increased his value.
I initially had him but decided that everyone else would have him too. Figured the best way to win this would be to divest from the masses on an obvious bargain and hope that he didn't turn into an uber-stub. Essentially I swapped him out for Tatum. Tatum's additional cost had to be made up at the K and D postion. Thought KC and NO would be a great pairing...liked the prospects of Hall and Bush returning kicks, KC's corners, and the NO def line.I would be surprised if we start seeing some ties towards the end of this contest.
:goodposting:Amazed that some people don't understand this strategy. I saw 3 pretty good RB bargins (Gore, Parker and Maroney) and decided that I only wanted one of them, so I choose Parker.

Different strokes for different folks, my friend. Who's on your roster?

Sitting at 127.1 right now...

With whatever else FWP and Antonio Bryant can add to their current scores in the second half, plus anything that T Scheffler can contribute.

Thank goodness for FWP, Hasselbeck, and Housh-yo-momma

Where are people getting the points from? Are you just scoring it from hand, or is there a page with what each player is getting for points this week.

I think I am doing well with Delhomme, Roy Williams, Reggie Brown, TJH, Dunn, McAllister, and Kasay so far (161.6 based on list above, still need points from TE and Defense)

I think the cut's going to be a wee bit higher this week than the past few.

24.9 - P. Rivers

44.5 - LT

22.8 - W. Parker

27.1 - M. Clayton

31.6 - R. Brown

11.8 - A. Bryant

23.5 - Shockey

9.0 - Feely

9.0 - SD

Feel free to correct my math, but I think I have a 204.2 with Muhsin possibly upping that tomorrow night.

I need the cut to be stupid low, which isn't going to happen.

Favre, Chester Taylor, Ahman Green, Braylon, Driver, Williamson, KW2 all off.

Aaron Brooks, Cedric Houston, LenDale White, Marty Booker all hurt.

Troupe with a big fat ZERO!!

I'm in at a whopping 89.4 with:

Rivers - 24.9

SJAX - 22.6

Glenn - 9.7

Roddy White - 4

Samie Parker - 12.2

Mare - 5

NYG - 11

It was fun while it lasted....good luck to evryone making the cut!!

114.8...will be close.

I don't think the cut will jump a bunch as I suspect a lot of people will have bye week issues. D scoring appears to be down this week too.

if ive calculated correct, ive got 137 with boldin (14.3) and thomas jones (11.3) to go. Roy williams and rivers were big for me this week, as was michael clayton.

the scoring this week should be around 120

just a guess based on less teams, the HUGE scores by a bunch of guys that are heavily owned.

and the fact that im at around 115-118

:kicksrock:

I have LT2 AND Holt, but I might not move on. All 3 of my QB's are hurt, and the rest of the team was really average at best. A very odd result, but that's fantasy.

138.5 and basically done (Curry-9.7). Big scores were posted by a few players, but I don't think they have a lot of owners (specifically LT2 and TO, but there are probably a few more im missing). I'd bet the cut is higher than the last few weeks, but 138 should be plenty safe...
