I'm loving this contest. Barely survived week 3 and I had to hold my breath this week with 5 WRs on bye.

I figure I'm dead week 8 (my RB situation will be seriously hurting) or 9, but you never know. Boy do I feel dumb about my kickers - I swear when I set it I double-checked bye weeks for TE, K, D and QB.

As I did a couple weeks back, I've decided to take a peak back and see how those at the top and at the cut line have fared in the following weeks. It's clear that ranking up top is no guarantee that you'll last much longer and that barely making the cut means you should ready to pack it in. Here goes:

Week 1: 6 of the top 10 entries from week 1 are still in it (everyone made the cut and there were no stats on the bottom 10)

Week 2: 6 of the top 11 (there was a tie for 10th) are still in it (lowest # for any week). Oddly enough those at the cut line also have their worst showing: only 8 of the 19 entries that finished right at the cut number are still in.

Week 3: Amazingly, all 10 of the top 10 entries from this week are still in it, in fact all of the top 13. While the overall showing from the cut line is less impressive (6 out of 11 are still in it), it's interesting to note that one of those 6 entries was the top scoring entry for week 6 - worst to first!)

Week 4: 7 out of the top 10 are still in it. 6 out of the 9 at the cut line (this was my close call week as I finished just 0.2 above the cut - 21 of the 29 who had my score or worse are still in it).

Week 5: 9 out of the top 10 entries are still in it. As are 11 of the 14 who finished at the cut number.
