55.5 from Roy Williams (18.6), Terry Glenn (24.9) and Miami D (12). A good start for sure, but a long ways to go, especially since I know I'm far from the only one with any and all three of those.

GOod luck tonight and Sunday-Monday to all....I want in the final 500! :)

Thanks Charley - that's a cool way of looking at it.What is key now, is who will get you past week 12, and then who will be the difference-makers in Week 13-16. Now it's time for guys who didn't help you get here (and therefore aren't on many rosters) to step up. For me - these guys are Rudi Johnson and Joey Galloway. Vick (also on my team) also works for this, even though he's one of the guys on your list, because he must not have been heavily owned in the first place. The few who survived the first 9 weeks with Chad Johnson have to be loving life now.
Yeah, I agree. My problem is that I don't have any real difference makers -- with hindsight, my roster was constructed with the goal of having consistent production that would beat the cut each week. So far, so good. If I make the cut next week, I'll consider it a major success to make it to the final 500. But I recognize that I have virtually no chance of a really high score in weeks 13-16. Oh well, it's been fun!!

I have these same 3 on my squad, definitely a good way to start Thanksgiving... especially since they were the only guys I had going, everyone else still to play. Even if it really raises the cutoff, at least I've got a good jump on staying at the mark.

Michael Turner, RB SD

News: Chargers backup running back Michael Turner injured a hamstring on Thursday and wasn't able to finish practice. He is listed as day-to-day.

Analysis: Monitor Turner's progress later in the week if you're planning on using him as a No. 3 RB vs. Oakland in Week 13. You're probably better off benching him and finding

More good news for LT owners

its been a tough road to the final cutdown day. sunday seperates the pretenders from the contenders. cheers to a bad day from LT :banned: , then maybe my team has a chance. good luck too all tommarow, especially the non LT owners.

glenn (24.9) + MBIII (22.6) = good start....come on palmer, LT, wayne and houshachampionship!!

Cheers to all!

Good luck to all! Though I can't say I'm hoping for a down day for LT... if anything, I'd be hoping for a down day from FWP and Ben Watson...

Quick math after the morning games: 145.2 with the following to go

LT2 (lowest RB score of 24.5)

Gabriel and D. Bennett (2 lowest WR scores 7.3, 24.9)

Best of Watson or H. Miller

Best of SeaBas or Akers.

I'm in trouble. My WRs were very average this week. I need a BIG day out of Favre as I still have Driver and Jennings. But right now I'm sitting at about 97 with my kickers (Feely & Gostkowski) and TE (Watson) still to play, along with the GB WRs.

Not liking my chances to advance.

183.15 + Driver (-20.9) and A. Green (-22.6) Watson (-17.9) and Brooks (-22.25)

I'll :banned: to hoping I don't have to face too many LT owners the next four weeks...

I think I am sitting at around 150 with Watson. Slightly higher if the Pats K scores more than 8, Jacobs scores more than 23 (doubtful).

I'm thinking this number might not be high enough. Does anyone have a prediction on what they think the cut off might be this week? There was a boat load of scoring this week.

Best of luck to the top 500!

Update: Maybe Jacobs scoring 23 isn't so doubful!

I thougth scoring was a lot lower this week. Parker definately did little. So far LT has not done too much and hoping he does very little.

I agree that scoring overall is down, especially for the key players. A lot of scoring was from players many people won't have. I see cutoff in the 120's maybe.

At 140.5 at the moment, with Rivers hopefully somehow going to eclipse Delhomme's 10.4, (even though he has only 1.75 at half), Wayne or Jennings (-18.6), and Josh Brown (-6). Hopefully, Jacobs, Watson and Rivers add to their totals for me and get me over 150. I'm thinking (and hoping) that 150 would get me to the final 500, but obviously that remains to be seen.

We almost got our wish, non-LT2 owners... he wasn't having one of his best games. Until that botched fumble call changed the momentum of the Chargers game... since then he's thrown a 19-yd TD and broke a 44 yard run, and another TD. An extra 16.7 points moves him into "good enough" range for most of his owners, I'm sure... and there's still 4 minutes left. Until then he had 1 TD, 50 rushing yards, and 1 5-yard catch, about 12.5 total points.

me not being an LT owner has followed the game closely, cant believe how fast the wheels fell off on oak containing LT. i had hope, but i should have known

I may have spoke too soon - didnt bother to inlcude Vince and Jacobs as they dont generally account for much. These two bring me up to 150 plus whatever Seattle D scores.LT may have just made the cut rise beyond my means though. :(

Looks like down weeks from my QBs combined with good weeks from Watson and Tomlinson will probably sink me. Barring late explosion from Maroney or Muhammad, I'm probably down for the count at about 119.

I can't say I would change much if we could do this whole thing over. I had a solid team that averaged 140+ through the first 11 weeks. What kills you in this contest is not your team, but other teams. There's not much you can do when Tomlinson goes off for 20-40 points every single week. He and Watson are going to carry a lot of mediocre teams on their backs this week.

I got good games from Gore and C. Henry, but I doubt it will be enough to save me.

I'm hovering right around 155 for the week. Not feeling very confident right now being that I don't own LT. Rivers and Grossman hurt.

There are no mediocre teams left in this. If there were, you wouldn't be so worried. I have 150 with Greg Jennings and David Akers needing on 5.1 and 4 respectively to boost me up. I am not feeling confident right now.

Delhomme (10.4), Gore (26.5), Jacobs (20.8), Roy W (18.6), Housh (20.9), Glenn (24.9), Watson (20.9), Graham (6), Cinciy (14), with Wayne or Jennings (-18.6) and Josh Brown (-6), plus Franks (-20.9, yeah right!) in reserve....

add it up to 163, gives me a fighting chance! :boxing:

Sitting at about 145.6 with Wayne & Jennings to go. My worst wr so far at 2.6, Bradford with my next Wilson at 8.9. If I move on it will be due to LT, Gore, Palmer, and Watson.

Watson 20+...yeah baby. I would think 170+ should make the race for $30K. I believe $30K is the best anyone could do in this contest.Best of luck to the other 499 teams in the finals.... and with that statement I just gave myself the kiss of death.

148.8 with Hasslebeck (-11) and Reggie Wayne (-5.1) to go.

Cut could be anywhere. I have no idea how to even ballpark it. 160? 125? Everywhere sounds reasonable.

Not really. Mediocre was probably the wrong word. What I'm saying is that guys like Watson and Tomlinson are going to carry a lot of teams with serious roster holes (guys carrying Simms, Plummer, Troupe, etc.). These teams are the ones who will struggle in the next few weeks, when they're facing teams who not only have Gore, Tomlinson, Watson, etc., but also have quality depth behind those guys.

At 138.9 with Driver and Engram (if he is playing, don't know)... My bottom two receivers are 10.8 and 9.1 so I atleast need a good game from Driver. I figure the cut will atleast be in the 140's...

Thanks for the breakdown. Only 3% have LJ? Wow, that is surprising to me.... I have him and like his schedule the remainder of the season. In the final 500 Watson will probably be owned by over 95%.

What are people's thoughts on that illegal forward pass call? Does anyone know the rule? Sure seemed like a fumble. I thought that should have been Raiders ball.

Um - yeah, I'm nervous about LT2 and the way his day ended.

Sitting at 158.5 and done unless Akers beats 9 points from Stover.

I'm checking in with 160. It's been Brees since week 4 as my only Qb. (Warner, Simms) I don't know how much longer he can keep putting up decent numbers for my team.

Only players left to bump my score would be Wayne (-12.5) and Rhodes (-ll.2). Don't know where the cutoff will be, but good luck to all who make the final 500 cut.

i am sure some of the 185 non owners of ben watson might be feeling a little uneasy.
unless if they own gates of course
DOOH! I own them both......Why oh why did Watson have to bail you all out?! :wall: At about 147 +Wayne-4.9, Morency-7.5, Akers-3. Feel about 50/50 to progress next week. Fortunately lots of popular receiver duds this week so MAYBE the cut won't be as bad as it would normally be...

I'm sitting around 200 with Harrison or Burleson -10.8...I know the Turk is not gonna be looking for me...I'm extremely happy to have made the final 500...I wish all the guys who post here the best of luck...see you next week...
