This week is looking up for this Brady/Gronk owner. That said, it's always an adventure with my crappy RBs.

Checking out this thread for the 1st time. Think my team has a shot to go far:

1. IF everyone stays healthy and

2. IF I can make it past week 9. Those are 2 big IF's

QBs: Brady, Stafford

RBs: Peterson, Gurley, Martin, Abdullah

WRs: Calvin, Hilton, Landry, Adams, Funchess, Wheaton

TEs: Gronk, Reed

Ks: Prater, Scobee

Ds: Pats, Vikings

Big mistakes: Abdullah was just stupid. None of my low end WRs have worked out... was hoping to hit on 1 of them. Scobee sucks for everyone.

Positives: Brady + Gronk looks solid for the foreseeable future. Top 3 backs are currently in top 6 ypg... and I don't see that changing anytime down the road with the offensive philosophies of those teams being pretty much run, run, and run some more.

1st time I've ever gone with only 18 players. Figure try to go big with studs, hope they stay healthy, and hit with a few low priced guys. The only low priced guy I would call a hit is Reed. The studs... for the most part... have paid off and stayed healthy and the gamble of Gurley has worked so far...

Still alive and hovering between 190-215pts about every week.

Only concern this week with Murray & Mathews on bye is I need RB production from 1 of Abdullah, D-Will, or Michael to go alongside Martin.

15 above the cut as of right now :scared: - Could use a good game from my Pathers as well as Adams and dare I say CJ Anderson.

-QG

Side note - Giants give us 614 yards of offense and 52 points.

Good for a +10 this week, 8 of 'em on one play.

Nutty contest.

-QG

Giants DST gave up 614 yards and 52 points but scored 10 in the contest, including 8 points on one play.

Thanks. I was confused by "us"," thinking he meant that the Saints had moved the cut line 8 points in one play.

Scary week to be near the cut line without many Packers, Broncos, Panthers or Colts.

I own Drew Brees and I might miss cut, that is how atrocious my team is. No Demarco and Mathews today, Carlos Hyde inactive, so I had Le'veon Bell and . . . the one . . . the only . . . Mike Tolbert. 19 over cutline with Tolbert (0.0), Davonte Adams, Richard Rodgers, and Virgil Green left (they score over 3 and they count).

Moving on comfortably again. I've been very lucky with the injury bug so far this year. I was pretty disappointed with Peterson so far but at least he is still healthy and putting up points.

About 26 over the cutline with most of Olsen counting and an outside shot of Corey Brown and Gano increasing the total. On to week 9. Good luck to those sweating the Turk!

And I'm out. Injuries still managed to get me even with a decent size roster. Damn. Really thought I had a shot.

Seabass is my leading scorer for the week.

Quick scan of Igomatic shows average team has about 1.67 guys going tomorrow night.

As noted before only 1 entry has Cam. He's in some jeopardy as he is about 20 from the cut but he also has TY going and all of the points count from each guy after he beats 3+ points. So he's still got a sporting chance.

165.10 with Funchess and Brown both -3.10, but the Bell injury makes me a dead man walking, even with the Anderson sighting.

So many big injuries this year, and we're only half way done. I'll be really curious to see what the top of the pack looks like when the contest is over, and whether larger rosters faired better or if smaller stud rosters worked out (those who lucked out and picked studs that didn't get hurt).

Worst week of the season, but I'll survive for another week. Sitting at 153 with Olsen (-6.6) going tonight. Had 4 guys on BYE, John Brown sitting on the bench, and still have 2 jobless kickers. Looks like I managed to survive Bloody Sunday, though.

Kind of interesting: this will be my first week I have more than two RBs (3) counting, thanks to C.J. Anderson finally showing up.

Wow I am out with the worste bad luck week ever!

Fitz only qb playing this week, done almost immediately!

Bell and Charles out, Peterson ivory and Martin doing nothing good!

No kicker due to byes and fires!

1/3 of my total points came from Jones.

Good luck to the rest in this crazy injury year and all the fired kickers.

My first sweaty Monday: I'm 2.55 above the cut with Olsen (-4.6) and Funchess/Cotchery/C.Brown (-6.6). Need a receiving TD or two to someone other than Ted Ginn.

Not making fun of you specifically (since I have 2 of the same guys) - it's interesting this year how many people own receivers on Carolina but only 33 took Cam out of the gate (only 1 left now). Good luck

After Brady/Gronk on Thursday night, I didn't even bother following the scores.

Rookie Mistake.

4.5 above the cutline with Funchess (-3.1) and Gano (-8.4).

I guess the only solace to getting knocked out this week is that I'm leaving early tomorrow morning for a week in Key West!

Brady, Gronk and Watson carrying me on another week. Eventually my RBs will be the death of me...

RB Justin Forsett BAL $25

RB LeGarrette Blount NE $16

RB Danny Woodhead SD $12

RB James Starks GB $6

RB Matt Jones WAS $7

RB Cameron Artis-Payne CAR $4

Does any know the most the cut line has went up on Monday game, with only one game
No idea. But the QBs probably won't move the line much. Only 1 entry has Cam and Luck Ownership is a single-digit percentage. Olsen and the Colts D likely will have the biggest impact IMO

I am going to make through this week but with both Bell and Foster out going forward I am thinking I am most likely out next week.

This coming week I'm without Flacco, Megatron, John Brown (and Scobee, and basically West, and probably Harvin and probably Royal). Need my guys to be on point :scared:

Alas the last Cam Newton entry has bitten the dust.

Nice to see Corey Brown show up and count for me this week. Gano went from goat to hero for a lot of entries I bet.

I went with 29 players, wound up with a bunch of CAR guys because they were cheap. C.Brown and Olsen both scoring tonight, I'm on to week 9!

Quick usage chart, I'll edit in the owner counts later once the numbers are in.

QBs - Brady (5) 1461 Dalton (3) 139 Flacco (0) 164

If Brady should stumble late the uniqueness of the Dalton/Flacco tandem could prove to be a strength for me.

RBs - Ingram (8) 749 Matt Jones (4) 508 Ivory 1045 (4) CJ Anderson (1) :pickle: 634 T West (0) 152

Oh if Anderson can somehow get his job back suddenly this is a bunch I will feel much better about.

WRs - Julio (7) 1889 J Brown (6) 924 Megatron (6) 416 C Brown (2) 257 Harvin (2) 43 Adams (1) 1992 Royal (1) 1498 Hawkins (1) 34

Hopefully John Brown and Megatron will get better while they are on their bye. Hopefully Adams can pick it back up now that he's got a game under his belt. Corey Brown had a nice game tonight - he could prove big if he keeps it up. Sweating this group in week 9.

TEs - Eifert (6) 1114 Olsen (5) 813 R Rodgers (3) 671 Chandler (0) 203

Need Rodgers or Chandler to come up with a wild card week - if I make it late in the contest they could really help. I need not edit this blurb :)

PKs - Gano (5) 259 Janikowski (3) 1292 Scobee (0) 1482

This has been a dependable pair.

TDs - Giants (5) 114 Tampa Bay (2) 209 Atlanta (1) 212

The Giants give up 600+ yards which in this scoring system doesn't matter. The 10 points does. And thus they outscore the Rams who totally shut down the 49ers. May they keep generating turnovers for me :)

On to Week 9 :excited:

Previous writeups: preseason, week 5

Still rolling through 8 weeks, but could be in trouble going forward.

Lowest scoring week was 164 in week 3, which was also my closest call (+17 above the cut). 24 of 29 players have made an appearance, with $19 worth of players never escaping the bench.

The Bell injury leaves me extremely thin at RB (just Lynch, Martin, and CJ Anderson), and will probably cost me my shot at the belt. Still a glimmer of hope with those 3 left.

TEs have led the way for me. TEs have accounted for 9 of my 16 flex players, and my TE1 slot has outscored my RB1 or WR1. Ben Watson is the steal of the draft, Eifert & Reed are high-variance and often studly, and now even Virgil Green has chipped in. $27 well spent.

Julio still the team MVP.

The WR & TE depth has made this a high-floor team. I have only rarely had an offensive player crack my lineup while scoring in the single digits (just one 9.9 in the past 5 weeks). My RBs will probably spoil that streak soon.

QBs also thriving, with the Brady/Cousins combo scoring 30 points per game. If I make the finals, I'll be hoping for more games like week 7 from that Cousins-Reed stack.

PK & DST have been solid. Probably above average scoring relative to the amount I spent, although I don't know how to find the numbers on that. I'm back up to 3 out of 4 PKs playing after spending a few weeks with only 2 (while holding steady at 4 DSTs).
