My best run yet, but Eifert, ADP and Landry all sucking this week have left me at 172 with Kirk Cousins left to go and he has to outscore Tyrod. It was a lot of fun, but I'm out. Good luck to all of you with a ticket to the dance..

We have one of the entries that is like .5 behind the cut line with one player left. It is Cousins and he has to replace Brady. Not going to happen, good luck to the rest of you. i would be surprised if the cut line moved more than 3 or 4 points tonight.

I find myself rooting against the guys I have playing tonight, as it would take a huge game to score for me, so I would rather they do nothing than help someone else.

 
And Hurns is cleared to play today. That is a bummer. I am sure that would have helped put me in the postive. I think he would have gotten in on those 5 touchdown passes and maybe even have taken one from Robinson.

Really bad week for a clunker. 147- lowest score by far this year. Just couldn't overcome the loss of Eifert, and bad weeks by Landry and AP.

2nd time getting to the final 500, hopefully I can figure out how to take that final step.

First time getting to the 250. Not sure of my chances. My three unique guys are Dion Sims (2 other people left), ASJ (4) and Mike Evans (5). So if Winston wants to start winging it, and Evans and ASJ want to actually start catching it, that would be appreciated.

 
Congrats to everyone making the finals. My team fell in last week's quest to make the final 500, but I enjoyed checking this thread and the overall contest for sure. Injuries down the stretch suppressed my squad's ability to stay up.

I lost Justin Forsett in week 11 and had already lost Steve Smith in week 8. The post above that only 8 teams with 18-man rosters survived was likely based on the quantity of top producers that were on IR and/or missing significant action.

I will continue to check in on the thread and would like to offer a heart-felt thanks to Quiz Guy for his interesting facts and just general banter. Pulling for the folks in the finals that made contributions here in the thread, but wish good luck to all.

 
In for the first time, 29-man roster, never got closer than 19.2 to the cut (week 10). But I'm 291 overall, 195 of those remaining, so I figure I'm a longshot, though the last two weeks have been my best. I'm as vanilla as they come with the ususual suspects at RB. My uniques are elsewhere--Ryan at QB (only 9 of the 250 have him); Calvin Johnson (32), Hurns (22), Hartline (6), and Corey Brown (26); team MVP Delanie Walker (17), Scott Chandler (37), and team bust Dwayne Allen (4); Cairo Santos (5); Eagles (17).

Only 10 entries with Dalton which is pretty good. 7 of the 10 also have Brady. 8 of the 10 also have Eifert. 6 have Brady and Eifert. Flacco was ultimately a waste but still I like this combo.

Given the injuries others have suffered at this position I at least have 5 reasonably healthy players which is nice. Overly reliant on Ingram and Ivory. Hoping Washington uses Matt Jones more as this goes to the wire. Anderson oddly is a guy that could be usefully unique which is a surprise. Only 15 entries have the Ingram/Anderson combo. That West is playing at all and could conceivably provide a fluke contribution is amazing.

Chandler is the perfect example of a lottery ticket in this contest. Did nothing for 11 weeks and then magically has turned into a factor.

Other than Chandler, I have 3 very common tight ends - in fact the 3 most common tight ends. But only 11 entries have all 3 like I do. I am the only entry that has those 3 and Chandler. Hopefully Eifert comes back - feel very good about this group.

The world's greatest terrible defense came through again for me with a kick-off return for a touchdown. Unreal. Hopefully they can keep up their scoring ways as they are very unique :) My entry is one of only 2 with the Giants and Bucs, one of two with Giants and Falcons, and only one with Bucs and Falcons. Here's hoping they are randomly great.

I'm out, 0.9 short of the cut (#261 for the week). The 2 RB lineup did not work so well.

Wow we have 13 of the same guys.

Strictly speaking every team has a chance as if you have the 10 highest scoring guys nobody can beat you :) That said the prevailing wisdom is that it is helpful to have a couple lesser owned players that break out for a big number is best since they only will count for you :)

Unique players help, but what's going to do you in is the $25 on Forsett. I suspect there are teams that have 2/3s of your roster covered.

Yup - that was a price point deal. Only 33 out of 13000+ entries had him in the contest.

His cost was $20. Only Rodgers ($25), Luck ($26), and Wilson ($21) cost more and Peyton was priced the same. Basically at that point either owners decided to take the top priced stud or shop for bargains. What's kinda funny is that Sam Bradford was the most-owned QB at the start of the contest (4621 entries had him for $13, next was Brady at 4423 entries for $14). Side note - 142 Brady entries are left and 75 Bradford entries are left.

More stark is how brutal thing went for Jamaal Charles owners: all 1102 of them are gone).

I'm tempted to say the same, but Anderson did help me this week more than Lynch or L Bell.

And, looking back over my notes, if I hadn't taken Anderson then I probably would've paid a little more for either Charles or Peterson. And neither of them would've been any better for me this week.

The entry in first overall went home last week. It finished .4 points below the cut. That sucks.

I'm currently sitting at 16th overall, 9th among active entries. Not that it matters, but still pretty cool.

2. There really isn't a first overall at this point. Really not even sure why it's tracked other than something to talk about.

Doug Martin is the most owned player in the finals. Overall my RB corps is weak, but the position seems to be the weakness of most teams.

My strongest position for sure. Robinson is my difference maker, and I'm rolling with the pack with Julio, Landry, Wheaton, Adams, and Royal. I love my team's depth at this position, as well as the upside of this group. Amendola turned out to be a nice surprise.

TEs - Eifert 122 (7), Reed 42 (7), Olsen 103 (6)

Probably my 2nd strongest position. Eifert and Reed have exceeded value, and Olsen has been solid. Looking for Reed to give my team a boost in the finals, as he's owned by only about 17% of finals teams.

PKs - Bullock 35 (6), Forbath 26 (3), Scobee 140 (2)

After surviving a few weeks of 0's, this group has actually been surprisingly solid.

TDs - Giants 10 (7), Atlanta 23 (4), Titans 37 (2)

QG and I are the only two with the Giants and Falcons combo. Going cheap here worked out well.

47 of 250 is still about 20%. I still find it to be the one weakness in this contest. It's an advantage for those of us who pay attention, but I sure wish they would adjust pricing on a weekly basis (in pre-season). You'd have the option of staying with your submitted entry at the previous prices or re-submit at the new prices.
