QB: Luck (1), T-Mobile (1), Fitz (0) - Happy here, so far, esp with Fitz locking up the job.

RB: Peterson (1), Hill (1), Woodhead (2), Robinson (1), Artis-Payne (0) - If ADP gets back to being ADP I should be fine. Hope Hill gets his job back though :oldunsure:

WR: ABrown (2), JBrown (2), Adams (0), Funchess (0), Royal (1), Strong (0) - Funchess and especially Strong may have been :moneybag: -> :toilet:

TE: Gronk (2), Kelce (2) -

PK: Gano (2), Forbath (0), Scobee (0), Succop (0) - :oldunsure: :oldunsure:

DT: Jags (1), Bears (1), Raiders (0) - That stretch of games vs. rookie/bad QBs hasn't quite geared up yet :fingerscrossed:
Hill hasn't lost his job.-QG
Hoping that is right because I have him too, but...Bernard has looked more impressive so far. I wish I stayed with original selections of
Missed the cutoff by 5 points. Man, it hurts to get knocked out so early!
There's always the playoff challenge!
I pick the two cheapest full teams that allows for a couple studs from each division to get by the early rounds.... Lol Harbaugh Bowl was the best I've done.

Roethlisberger says Steelers will keep going for two

Well, hell. Went for three $2 Ks: Seabass, Forbath and Scobee.

Forbath gone, now this. Not great news for me in this contest.

QB: Luck (0), Brady (2), Cousins (0) - Should be very solid, Cousins just there to avoid a bye week catastrophe

RB: Peterson (1), Ingram (2), Abdullah (1), Martin (1) - Already all 4 have contributed

WR: J Jones (2), C Johnson (1), Adams (1), Hurns (1), Wheaton (0) - A bit down on Wheaton at this point, hoping for more from Adams

TE: Gronk (2), Eifert (2) - Looking real good

PK: Scobee (1), Succop (0), Janikowski (1) - K rotation is working so far

DT: Jags (0), Titans (1), Bears (1) - Just hoping I've got enough here... 4 points from Bears this week felt a bit soft

Wk 1 - Top-500

Wk 2 - Top-1000

QB: Ryan(2), Bradford - Need Bradford to step up but Ryan looks solid

RB: Hill(1), Forsett(2), Martin(1), Ivory(1), Michael - Have some concerns here with guys living up to their price point

WR: Julio(2), M Bryant, S Johnson(2), Royal(1), Adams(1), DGB, Lockett(1) - Like this group a lot especially once Bryant is back

TE: Olson(1), Bennett(2) - Think this combo will be ok but feeling there were better options now

K: Gano(1), Seabass(1), Scobee, Succop - happy with this group maybe didn't need 4 but only 2 extra dollars

DT: Denver(2), Miami - Miami doesn't look good so far but still think they will have some good games and Denver looks strong

Key is surviving to Bryant gets back and my RBs picking it up.

brady (2), carr, ttaylor, fitzpatrick

ap (1), ingram (2), abdullah (1), martin, oliver

julio (2), cooks, adams, royal, lockett (1), amendola, philly brown (1)

gronk (2), eifert (2), reed (2), rodgers

gano (1), janickowski (1), scobee, succop

new orleans (1), tennessee (1), chicago

-maybe two too many saints methinks & thought b.oliver would be getting more run.

-wishing i would have pared down & gone for AB, i think i was scared off by the week 11 bye. i shouldnt have been.

good luck to all my fellow participants.

Seabass has an early bye (week 6), so if you make it to week 7 you should be ok in the kicking department.

Ha. I have the same 3 kickers. Hopefully, Steelers get stuffed on a couple 2 pt. conversions and lose a close game b/c of it. But otherwise, FG are where the bulk of pts come from anyways.

Is 3 kickers & 3 defenses the consensus shark move? It seems like a waste of a few bucks to me; I went with 2 of each. (Scobee+Seabass & Titans+Jets).

To me it is. Historically, rostering three of each leads to a higher survival rate. Both positions are volatile and unpredictable, so spending an extra $2-3 on each is definitely worth it to me.

Maybe it's a question of whether you're trying to give yourself the best chance to make the final cut, or give yourself the best chance to finish in the top 10 if you do make the final cut.

I think it's easier to reliably increase your total points over the course of a season by spending the $3+$3 on the 3rd & def and kicker than it is by using that $3+3 for a skill position flyer or upgrade.I spent $15 on NE and IND kickers and it's already paid off. I made the week 2 cut by 5 thanks to Gradkowski's 19 points and I'm going to have a big advantage there for as long as these cheap kicked struggle.

I'm not so sure that is the tradeoff. There are a lot of kickers that are capable of 18 point games randomly throughout the season. The lesser kickers will have a lower weekly floor which brings thier expected ppg and cost down. The more you have, the more likely your kicker group will have a big week or three through the playoffs.

I spent $7 on 3 kickers (OAK PIT CAR). I got 11.00 in week and 16.40 in week 2. That's compared to 4.0 and 19.60 for yours. I just think that diversification is better and can be done cheaply at that position.

Nope. The shark move is 4 of each.

I think using those $2 kickers to further strengthen a strong Kicker group is a good use of money. Using the $2 kickers as a way to avoid spending at the position at all is not a good strategy. A lot of teams did this spending only $4 or $5 at the position.

I think you would be better off if you added up to 2 more $2-$3 kickers to that group and took the downgrade where ever you could most afford it

Assuming you have a medium or large roster size

Based on the past few years I've always been 3 + 3 on K and D. However, I found that typically the variability in kicker scoring was much greater than defense. So I would typically use all 3 of my kickers after multiple weeks, whereas the defenses really only fluctuated on 2. So I switched it up this year and went 3 + 2 just to see how it works. I am tracking the 3rd D I didn't use vs a player I selected, so we'll see if it makes a difference.

This thought just rattled in my head today during my long drive. How hard would it be to let everyone put in 2 teams each year, but only one can cash. That way when you lose one team, you can still root for your other team. Or would everyone hate this idea? Just a crazy thought.
Meh, I think you would have better luck fixing March Madness. It's perfect the way it is. The idea of single elimination is what makes it matter.

My WR's:

Dez--Not playing any time soon

Andre Johnson--Last seen playing a round of golf at The Villages in Florida

Davante Adams--Not confident he will play and be effective

Steve Johnson--HEALTHY!!!!!!!!!!

Markus Wheaton--PROBABLE!!!!!!!

Eddie Royal--Questionable

Looks like my only hope is a couple of 6 catch, 50 yard games from 2 of my low-priced guys. Take the 11 points, and pray for my TE trio of Gronk, Eifert, and Richard Rogers to go out of their mind.

Greg Olsen is alive!!!!!

Murray out is exactly why rostering Mathews made sense.

Mariota is my savior. Imagine if I'd taken the QB money I spent above him and moved from Witten to Gronk...

Gonna make it through to next week - crazy week where a handful of great performances (Dalton/Olsen/Julio/Ingram) is enough. Thank goodness because it looks like a couple clunkers very well may end up counting.

-QG

@Iggy - FWIW the Igomatic says Christine Michael is on the Seahawks still. Not a big deal right now of course but figured I'd give you the heads up :)

-QG

That zero from eifert is gonna hurt.

Let's go Owen Daniels and Virgil green!

2 points above the current cut line, really regretting my decision to take luck instead of Julio (didn't want both on the same late bye)

189.25 + (CJ Anderson - 3.8) + (Calvin/Adams/R Rodgers) - (5.5/9.2/15.2)

Hope the Eifert field gets culled a bit this week (but doubt it'll beenough to matter).

Good luck to those sweating the Turk!

The vultures are circling. I'm at 135.25. Current flex scores are 8.90 and 4.60 (Both are RB's). Current top two WR's are are 7.60 and 4.70. Remaining players are:

Abdullah

Davante Adams

Richard Rogers

If 2 out of 3 get me 15 points, I'm sitting at 147ish, which I don't think will cut it. Where's Flutie when you need him? I need a Hail Mary, drop-kick extra point, or some other miracle to eek me through.

This will be the earliest I have ever exited this contest.Really sucks cuz I enjoy this more than any league that I am in.11 points under the cut line with Peyton (-!9.80),D.Thomas (-5) and both O.Daniels and R. Rodgers counting with what ever they score. It ain't over but I can hear the fat lady warming up.

155 with Adams, Rodgers, and Abdullah my flexes are at 4.5 and 4.6. My running backs will not keep me in this contest very long.

Miller, Forsett, Ivory, Martin, Abdullah.

You're looking good in my opinion Wolfies :) Now you're at 142.85. Adams is gonna help you more than most of his owners since he only has to clear 4.7 points before he counts for you.

WR Randall Cobb GB 1057

RB Jamaal Charles KC 986

TE Travis Kelce KC 946

TD Kansas City Chiefs KC 752

Looking to loose some ivory (stupid rotoworld hosed my league play with this one), Eifert and Davis owners this week!!! Yay Bye weeks here we come!

First time clearing 200 as well with Charles, Maclin and Adams left.

Thanks QG! With Richard Rogers at -8.90 (maybe a TD comes his way?), I feel like there is certainly a chance. I'm not long for the contest, but just getting to Week 8 ish would keep it fun a little while.

Another bad week for my RBS if they don't turn it around soon I'm going to be gone soon. At least I get M Bryant back soon of course until Ben gets back not sure how much he helps.

Put me in the Brady/Ben group. Might not even make the cut this week. Right now, I'm .5pts out of 9000th with Adams to play -8.9.

Thought I had some safe picks but they are just not performing...and Martavis was in my back pocket, but Ben going down probably ruined that anyways.

Thanks Tyler Eifert (this week), Terrance Williams, Justin Forsett and Jeremy Hill !

179 with D. Adams left to go (needs to break 14.9 points to contribute).

I don't think I'm long for this world though. My "big money" RBs and WRs are just pitiful right now-- Forsett, Brandon Cooks, Jordan Matthews

Arizona DEF has been my best player besides Brady.

Next week there are 250 teams with Mariota and one of Romo, Brady, or Ben. Most will have one other option. Perhaps deeper troubles for 391 with Ben & Brady, 197 with Romo & Brady, and 81 with Romo & Ben. 579 still alive with Dez and one of Brady, Romo, or Ben.

looking better than I am right now. 4 points up, Adams -6 left. :kicksrock:

Brady/Bradford owner here. Not looking much better than Brady/Ben :bag:

Julio and Olsen saved me this week. At around 185 points so far - Adams still to play - with my 5 running backs combining for 25 points. Doug Martin's 4.6 will count for me.

Thought my RBs were the strength of my team:

RB Ameer Abdullah DET $14 12.20

RB Doug Martin TB $12 4.60

RB C.J. Anderson DEN $27 3.70

RB Jeremy Hill CIN $25 2.10

Next week will be interesting. Thought I'd sweat Mariota getting me past Bradford's bye, but it seems the other way around now...good thing I have Fitzpatrick too.

Foster coming back should be a nice boost. Ivory too. So far this year has me feeling very lucky. My luck usually sucks, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
