No hyperbole at all -- I might be eliminated this week. Horrible combination of injuries/bad games/poor job constructing a team. I have a couple chances to get some points on the board, but unless there are 1400ish BAD scores this week, I think I'm doomed.

Ugly week for me so far though I still have bullets in the chamber.

After 1pm games I have

112.1

+

Richardson/Powell/Redman - (0 RB/3.9 RB/7 Flex)

+

Dermaryius/Kerley/Streater/Gibson - (7 Flex/8.6 Flex/19.1 WR/21.1 WR)

+

Winslow/Julius Thomas - (7 Flex/8.6 Flex/11.9 TE)

+

Hauschka (with Forbath hurt and Brown's donut I'm glad I went with 3 kickers)

Too early for the Turk to visit :scared:

Dude, I'm with ya...about 121 after the afternoon games although I have yet to record a RB score. Rice/Bush/Lacey out and Luck/Kaep/Cruz blowing chunks could knock me out on the easiest cutline ever. and to think I dropped 255+ the first week! :kicksrock:

So, I've come up with an automated process this year that wont hose my server and allow for 15 minute current cut line stats. Starting with the games next week at 7PM on Sunday's, I have a process kick off every 15 minutes that will calculate the current cut line and post it to ffltools.com on the team pages. This calculation runs on a different server and takes about 6 or 7 minutes, then will post the results.

This will run throughout the games on Sunday and Monday nights.

The cut line wont be official of course, but it should be within a point or two variance.
Just and fyi for those interested, this process looks to be working, it's just taking a little longer than the 6-7 minutes in my testing. If the process runs at say 8PM, sometime before 8:15, it'll post the cut line from 8PM.

As of 8PM tonight, the current cut line (if no more games were played) is at 114.95

Well I'm feeling much better. Thanks to some garbage receptions by Tate and 1 great snag by Hunter, I "should" be OK assuming 1 of my 2 TEs has a decent outing (Miller and Bennett). If the other is even remotely competent (4 points or more), he should replace my current Flex 2 (Miles Austin).

Apparently there is a lot of "blech" on enough rosters to save me from me this week. Unless some roles/usage/targeting changes I'm doomed long-term though. Britt is done in Tennesse, IMO. Bowe's usage hasn't quite been what I was expecting either.

I was confident coming into this season, but not looking good at all.

My two entries are at 132 and 159... Still have Julius Thomas in both, but my RB crews are not doing much at all this year.

148.40

+

Redman - (8.6 Flex/9.5 RB)

+

Demaryius/Streater - (8.6 Flex/10.9 Flex/19.1 WR)

+

Julius Thomas - (8.6 Flex/11.9 TE)

Scored 250 in week 1, 209 in week 2. Got a bad feeling about this week with Reggie Bush, Eddie Lacy, Amendola out, and Julio Jones nicked up.

I think I see the turk in my rear view mirror.
Surprisingly high at 159 and done. Hopefully will be good enough with the low cut line and junk entries.

:oldunsure:
His two entries must suck. My QB heavy entry is working out great this week. My backup RB entry is looking good long term... this is also TE heavy. My average entry (30 player going for consistency) entry is smooth sailing right now. My final entry (4th one) is in trouble but I have 4 kickers and 4 defenses in that one with one QB. Had to have some variety, right?

Sitting pretty at 208.45.

Peyton Manning (-21.95)

Marcus Wheaton (-15.60/-19.10/-19.70 Flex)

Julius Thomas (-15.60/19.10 Flex)

David Ausberry (-15.60/19.10 Flex)

I'm hoping David Wilson keeps putting up these stinkers for about 5 more weeks.....then have some light switch turn on for him. I should be good for awhile without him.....but at some point he is going to need to produce for my team to advance.

J. Bell isn't going to be able to carry my RB corp for the whole season.

So a key question is how much does a sunday 8pm cutoff of 115 move up by end of week? Final cutoff around 125? Wasnt the expectation closer to 160s? Im around 175 with decker plus thomas minus 40....

It's at 123 going into the MNF game. I think I remember a good rule of thumb last year was a decent game on monday nights would move the line about 10 points.

I'm legit scared. 117 with Manning (-8.7) - certainly he gets about 20 points right? Right? ... :scared:

ETA: J Thomas and Welker (-10.2 Flex) could score as well, we might pull through...

177.55 with Julius Thomas -13.8 and Oakland Defense-6 to go.

Vick is doing wonders for me. 3rd week in a row that he has started over Brady for me.

RB position continues to be the suck, with Daniel Thomas and his 10.7 points paired with Ryan Matthews and his 5.8 points.

At WR, Josh Gordon makes a HUGE debut for me, and Thompkins and his 2 TDs scored as well.

Cameron got me 33.6 (so much for that Browns anemic offense!), and Gates did well again with 19 points.

Spiller

Forte

Wilson

Lacy

Helu

Redman

Amendola

Hilton

Blackmon
Givens

Hartline

Brown

Thompkins

Ouch. See you guys next year.

Still mad about the Josh Gordon thing. I went with Gronk and Blackmon and didn't want to chance Gordon as well, but I had no idea everyone would make it through the first two weeks. I think I should make it through this week, so one more week to be at full strength (assuming Gronk goes this week).

Cecil Shorts 22.3

Nate Washington 21.1

Jason Avant 19.7

Kenbrell Thompkins 19.1

Golden Tate 16.7

Pierre Garcon 16.3

Will be wishing I had some of those 'extra' scores here in a few weeks.

Sitting at 182.15 with Thomas and Decker to go (-11.10).Looks like once again I put together a team that has a pretty good chance to make it to the final 250 but no chance when I get there.

I'm sure many of us are anxiously awaiting Josh Gordon. It will be interesting to see if he lives up to the hype or is just another mid-level WR.
You're looking pretty smart right about now.
Because he said it will be interesting?
Have to admit I'm making a series of assumptions there.

When I read his comment I took it to understand that he was one of the ones interested to see if Gordon would work out or not. I further assumed that meant he had selected him as part of his team for this contest. My implication that he looked pretty smart was simply meant to say that anyone who selected him for their team (including presumably EPL) looks smart as Gordon appeared to show potential and could end up outperforming his value.

It was a very ineffective/confusing way of recognizing Gordon's performance this week.

Give up on Ausberry, he is done for the year....

I was rolling the dice with him as well:

Raiders placed TE David Ausberry on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.
Ausberry exited the Raiders' second preseason game with a "potentially significant" shoulder injury, and hadn't practiced since. The 2011 seventh-rounder had been slated to open the year as the Raiders' starting tight end, but will instead go into his walk year with just nine career catches. The Raiders are stuck with Jeron Mastrud and rookie Mychal Rivera at tight end. Rivera has five catches through two games. Ausberry has vanishingly little Dynasty-league value. Sep 23 - 5:12 PM

Been thinking about a slight "addition", to this game.

We are all stuck with the players we have. Instead, what if you have the chance to start from scratch right now to put together a new team. This would be seperate from this game, but would be basically the same game. All players cost the same and all rules are exactly the same.

We would pick a new team that starts this coming weekend and we move forward.

'

I know it is very far fetched, but would be fun if we have more information of what these teams are doing already this year.

Who would you pick again, would you ignore.... Take 3 QBs, 8 RBs, etc???

I think we could do a gentlemen's bet with this or even a mid-season jump in...I am assume there are some programmers that can make this happen.

This may seemed a bit crazy, but would be a blast.

Just a thought.

Yeah, sounds cool. Get right on that. Please start a new thread for it though to not clutter this one.

Everyone would wind up picking a lot of the same players.

Edit: I mean the same players as all the other rosters, not the same players that you started with.

I like the idea, If this gets some traction, I might be able to facilitate this.

WHY CAN'T I JUST BE SMART?! :grad:

I do have Josh Gordon on my team. At the time I picked him, it was a calculated risk that I would make it to week 3. The revelation that we all would make it to week 3 was just gravy. But I began to wonder if he would live up to the hype or just be another "meh" receiver. The Richardson trade made me lean more towards the "meh". But, even with the outstanding outing, it's just one game. Jared Cook looked like the 2nd coming as well in week 1. So we'll have to see if he's running a spring or a marathon!

Yeah, I saw that today.... Down 2 players now with Dwayne Allen and Ausberry. Ausberry was a $4 flyer for TE, but I was counting on Allen for a few weeks. Only bright spot was I took 4 TEs, so now I still have 2 TEs so I won't take a 0 in that spot at all.

Anyone got a guess of the cut post MNF? With all my injuries rolling I don't know if I'm in or out...Struggled to 151.5 but that wasn't even close with week 1 scoring.

If P. Manning keeps up anything close to his current pace, does this become a contest between people that own Manning with everyone else on the outside?

Maybe if Clady wasn't lost for the season. Manning was sacked tonight (against OAK, lol) because of the guy that replaced him. That could be a big problem this year.

I doubt it with the new scoring. I'd rather have a QBBC plus Jordon. You could probably say the same thing about Graham. Of course there are teams with all of these guys but their RBs are thin.

My $5 Geno Smith flyer pick gets on the board this week and helps lead me to 205.95 points and a date with week 4 destiny.
