Summerpalooza II: Combined FF/Music Draft - Everybody Wants to Rule the League (2 Viewers)

Literally the weirdest thing is happening right now and I have to tell someone. I was listening to this on shuffle and wrote about the first 6 songs I heard. Then after having done 6, I wanted to find and listen to some songs I really knew well so I kept the playlist going and I hit next, next, next, next, next, next and did it a lot. Plenty of good songs but for some reason none them struck me. Then, I wondered, why hadn't any of my song been played? All those songs and none were my draft pick? Weird. So,  I hit next (on the same shuffle setting still) so many times- still none of my songs. Like an insane amount where I started to wonder if you were playing a joke on me. It had to have been 60 songs and none of them my picks. And then 19 by Sharon Van Etten came on- at last one of my picks! I let it play through and it now has been 4 of my songs in a row. This randomness is too random.

I wish Bonzai would stop being "out and about". Apparently he thinks his personal life is way more important than the 14th round pick in the Football Guys Music Fantasy No Stakes Fantasy Football Draft.

I don't have the wherewithal to put music to these picks.  I'll be in a better state tomorrow, hopefully.

The worst part is...you picked a guy I thought had no chance of being picked and let pass by. Hoo boy. You're hungover, I'm counting on things that shouldn't be counted on, etc.

I am having a brutal draft. My custom draft sheet was for sixteen teams. Ouch.

Yesterday. It doesn't really matter by position, but it's like I missed the first two rounds, which was made more glaring by going deep running back next. Oooof. I could have had Baker and Murray likely at the end of the third turn of the fourth and my running backs in the fifth/sixth. Oh well. Such is. Got to draft music and general manage a team in this, which I rotate through anyway pretty heavily on the transaction front.

My draft has been pretty weird.  My biggest weakness is at WR, and this is a very friendly WR league.  Are we playing with auction money again, and if so, how much?

Same here. I reached for two guys knowing I was reaching a bit (but not so drastically) and I'm regretting it, I think. I also think our draft has been weird because our league is QB and WR heavy, meaning that instead of redraft ADPs and the like, you've kind of got to disengage and be really flexible as you've got a flex and SUPAFLEX making it so that there are a lot of moving variables.

Lot of moving parts here.

If you mean blind bid money for waivers, I have the same question. I went into the Yahoo League settings and looked at what waivers information was there. Did y'all use $100 for season-long blind bidding? And are waivers still run Tuesday evenings? If so, what time of night?

Last question for now: Did you all have a free agency first-come-first-serve period after waivers but before the following week's kickoff? For example, were people -- without using blind-bid waiver money -- able to pick up, say, a free agent kicker on a Friday afternoon (or even early Sunday morning assuming no London games)?

 
Yes. Yes. Midnight? I don’t think so. Yes I believe they were able to pick up free agents at a first come, first serve basis.

Boston - More Than a Feeling.

Gostkowski didn't fit exactly into the timing of the release of their loooong awaited album Third Stage (to get a double link), but was born when Amanda had been leaked. There is no way to describe the anticipation around the release of the third Boston album in New England. I was in HS at the time, and we were waiting for an album from OUR 'local' band that hadn't released anything in almost 10 years. Unfortunately that album was horrible, but we got to go to shows where they played the old stuff!

For music geeks, that have a spare 1/2 hour, watch this breakdown of the song by Rick Beato. Fascinating. Although as a non-musician, most of it goes over my head!

Be happy @Eephus - he was born in '84. I could have gone with something from one of my favorites (p/g) from your favorite band! ;)

I don't know who Tony Pollard is, or what I'm doing, but it's been good to shake the rust off a little

I need a K and a D and I have to get the Lep in here somehow
