Just so everybody knows, I started RoJo in my main dynasty league and am eating that -0.60 as we speak. The worst part of it? I traded Chase Edmonds for him and a third earlier this offseason, thinking Edmonds had one more season to score any points in a committee and RoJo, though part of a committee, had a chance -- a chance -- of breaking through this year.

So much for that. Tampa is Tompa and they'll win with blitz pickups and ball security in the backfield. That's where the bread is buttered. RoJo is a volatile back, a talented runner, but a tough sell in other phases. Exactly what Tampa doesn't need.

While we're talking other leagues, I did an NFFC qualifier thing Tuesday night for the first time. I was super happy with my team. Especially the SOD at pick #49.. Gus Edwards. The (useless) draft review thing gave my draft an A+ and easy league winner but not sure it has the horses without Gus.

Interesting word. I always thought obsidian primarily meant black and smooth.

Anthony Hecht uses it in "Death As A Whore" to describe her crack pipe, IIRC.

Jeez. I am being disabused of that notion that I knew what obsidian meant today. I had an inkling I didn't. Never draw context from poetry, I've learned. Words in poetry have impact, import for meter and time. Not necessarily accuracy.

Many years, NE didn't have much in the backfield to support Brady aside from a reliable pass-catching back (Kevin Faulk, James White). Perhaps TB decided it could get by with the same and grabbed Bernard to fill the Faulk/White role.

No, I'm becoming aware of its incisor qualities. Have you ever seen how hard the shards of a broken crack pipe can be? You get cut just handling one. Lips and fingers. It's why they pass out free ones in San Francisco now. To cut down on all the cutting that pipes do. AIDS gets transmitted that way if it's wet with blood, which it often is.
