Summerpalooza V -- Playoffs Over -- Eephus Is Now Two-Time Summerpalooza Champion (2 Viewers)

Added WR Randall Cobb (boy was that a dumb idea) before Sunday's kickoff.

Blue* - The Jayhawks

*in honor of his "help" in beating Bluey.

On my errands this afternoon I had the Yacht Rock channel on SiriusXM. Within about a minute: Michael McDonald. Followed by the full-length version of the WKRP in Cincinnati theme song (didn't know that existed) and then by Hall & Oates. Very much on brand.

It has nothing to do with music or football but you're my iFriends. I got a new tattoo yesterday of my kids' initials

Cool, I like it. I see the S. Is the other initial N?

I saw two J's :bag:. I am known to be awful with visual things.

N for my son. S for @ditkaburgers

I’m down 10 points with Javonte Williams and Albert O going tonight. Site seems to think I may barely squeak out a win by less than a point. Hopefully it’s just yahoo being yahoo and I win a little easier. Then again maybe I should sign up for their prediction now.
I'm up 20,but feeling good. I expect to see a lot of MG3 tonight, and mostly the Denver WRs. Russ is not big with his TEs. But I for sure could lose.
Yeah my math skills suck and it seems like Yahoo was exactly right.
Yeah, our matchup could not have been any closer!

All those passes to Williams made the difference. I just needed Abdullah to catch some of his!

....Your kid posts here?

Hey guys, I'm a little late on the draw, but if you hadn't figured it out from Eephus's mention, you should all be getting in your waiver bids. It says they run the 14th, and I'm pretty sure that's A.M. of the 14th, not P.M. They should, if I recall correctly, run about 3 A.M. East Coast time.

Peace!

Added Cincinnati Defense

For our song, we are choosing Turn! Turn! Turn! by The Byrds. However, we’ve altered both the title, and the lyrics. The title is now Churn! Churn! Churn!, and the lyrics are:

To everything (churn, churn, churn)
There is a defense (churn, churn, churn)
And a time to every porpoise, even Dolphins

A time for the Bears, a time for the Bills
A time to pick up, a time to drop
A time to for the Colts, a time for the Jets
A time to laugh, even Texans

To everything (churn, churn, churn)
There is a defense (churn, churn, churn)…

Added

Tyrion Davis-Price - RB - SF

Bruce Springsteen - The Price You Pay

So let the games start, you better run you little wild heart
You can run through all the nights and all the days
But just across the county line, a stranger passing through put up a sign
That counts the men fallen away to the price you pay,

I was too frugal in my bidding, and missed out on every player I bid on. This guy has been passed around like a bad penny lately, but he was free, so I'll stash him for a short time to see if any good trends happen with him.

O.J. Howard - TE Houston Texans

Luchenbach, Texas (Back to the Basics of Love) - Waylon Jennings

sticking with songs from the 70s that geographically connect with player

Song choice for our addition of Rex Burkhead, #28

I won this album and a stereo by winning a Styx trivia contest put on by Rockline magazine:

Styx - A.D. 1928/Rockin' the Paradise

With apologies to my partner for this selection. :lmao:
Does your partner know that you love Styx? If he doesn't, I reckon he does now. I saw their Paradise Theater tour and it was fun. It was 1981. I remember the coliseum reeking of pot.

My Styx fandom is well-known albeit not well-accepted. I saw them on that tour, too! And the Cornerstone tour, which might have been the second concert I ever went to.

And on the Kilroy Was Here tour.

Weird interlude:

I just got Run D.M.C.'s Raising Hell on vinyl from a record club. Not really interesting, but what really strikes me is just how good the song "Walk This Way" actually is if you want a rock and roll song on a warm September day. It's sort of on fire, and befitting of all the historical attention paid to it (though that gets a little overdone because of Steven Tyler's involvement in the project). But Joe Perry simply rocks it out, and Run D.M.C. is at their best with their sort of rhyming intonation/emphasis trick that they did.

Really good song if you let it play all the way through.

Yes, I'll plan to sell the current one after I move.
Will you still be near your mom?

 I'm moving 0.5 miles away from where I am now. It's such a straight shot from my current house to the new one that every element of my address will remain the same other than the street name. I'm going from 1350 NE [current street] to 1350 NE [new street]. Weird, eh?
