Not really IMO. Houston has given up by far the least points against and out of the 4 teams in the conversation, they have the worst offense by far. Just shows how impressive their D actually is.

A lot of the points allowed by the Rams have been garbage time.

Fair point. My original post was in response to the quotations around the best defense in the NFL. I don't think there is really much controversy in saying that Houston has the best defense. Yes the Rams have a very good defense. They also have one of the best offenses in football which protects their D. Houston D doesn't have that luxury.

Karlaftis is better than folks give him credit for. I think he’s gonna be a top 12 DE next year.

I've always thought he was overrated, and just benefitted from Jones next to him, but Jones has taken a step back this year, and Karlaftis has stepped up.

Houston offense goes into so many weird prevent holes. It’s so frustrating like they think if they can score just one TD, they can win with this defense.

Many games, they’re right, but that’s putting incredible pressure on the defense. Hey O, you know we can win 35-10 instead of praying we can hold onto 13-10 type leads, right?

Biggest problem is that they think they're a powerful physical offense and they're anything but right now. Absolutely getting destroyed up front. And Schultz is a massive liability run blocking on the DEs too.

They're close but I'm giving Seattle the edge. They shut teams down in the first half of games before the blowouts commence at 7.1 pts allowed avg which leads the league.

Teams get their stats vs Seattle vs prevent, yet they're still 2nd in the league at yds allowed per play overall at 4.6, 2nd in INT's and 2nd highest pressure rate in the league, and 4th in sacks.
