"The Jags have known for a long time now that they would be leaning on Brenton Strange at TE, and days like Wednesday showed why the franchise has faith in the former second-round pick. Strange has had a consistent camp, and on Wednesday he took it a step further with a dazzling one-handed catch downfield"

Jaguars TE Brenton Strange placed on injured reserve. He was having an excellent season as complete 3-down TE.
I talked to Strange in locker room postgame and he wasn’t optimistic about his hip/quad injury. He said win helps and he’ll eventually be OK but was bummed.
Probably not. Lawrence has a strong connection with Strange; the Coen offense hasn't generally doesn't feature the tight endHis backup worth a pickup as a bye week fill in?
Definite wait and see usage.Activated will play this week. Unknown if on a snap count.
WIth Gadsden on bye in my 14-team non-PPR league, I'm currently starting Barner. Thinking of going with Strange instead for the upside. In a non-PPR league, unless a guy scores a TD there's really not much difference between 4-40 and 1-8Definite wait and see usage.Activated will play this week. Unknown if on a snap count.
I personally would start Barner over Strange. At least for now. That might change later.WIth Gadsden on bye in my 14-team non-PPR league, I'm currently starting Barner. I want to see a roster and waiver wire forced to start Strange.I'm forced to start him. LFG!
I'm starting him in one league and was Slayton being active from starting him in two leagues. These are TEP leagues, but still, it's not crazy to me to be forced into needing to start him.I want to see a roster and waiver wire forced to start Strange.I'm forced to start him. LFG!
Understood. I could see someone starting him for upside over another option. Just can’t see a roster that is “forced” to start him.I'm starting him in one league and was Slayton being active from starting him in two leagues. The league I’m starting him I am literally forced to start him or pick someone up.Understood. I could see someone starting him for upside over another option. If you were riding into this week with the only option as Strange, then you are in big trouble either way.
Maybe I’m just playing semantics with words.

in 4 of the 5 games Brenton Strange has played from start to finish:
4 for 59 yards
6 for 61 yards
6 for 45 yards
5 for 93 yards

In redraft not crazy. Well, maybe just a little. In dynasty, very crazy.Am I crazy to consider adding Strange over Loveland as my TE2 behind Kittle?
As a Kittle owner I picked up Strange to cover Kittle's bye next week. JAX faces INDY and they allow the 4th most points to the TE position. Not a bad option.Am I crazy to consider adding Strange over Loveland as my TE2 behind Kittle?
I’d be a bit cautious if BTJ returns. Already a fair amount of mouths to feed in that offense, which doesn’t have the most prodigious passing game.As a Kittle owner I picked up Strange to cover Kittle's bye next week. I could be wrong, but it seems like every game he plays in he has 4 or 5 catches. Seems like a favorite target for Lawrence when healthy.
You could be speaking about both teams here really.I’d be a bit cautious if BTJ returns. Already a fair amount of mouths to feed in that offense, which doesn’t have the most prodigious passing game.
True, but really, what has BTJ done when in the lineup?I’d be a bit cautious if BTJ returns.
