Lions' Brock Wright: Relatively big day as pass catcher

Wright caught four of four targets for 57 yards during Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Cowboys.

Wright had only caught one pass this year before setting new career highs in receptions and receiving yardage in this one -- even outpacing top tight end T.J. Hockenson in receiving yardage along the way. While it's unlikely that this is the sudden start of a heightened receiving role for the blocking specialist, Wright could be needed to catch a few passes over the next couple of weeks as the Lions' receiving corps returns to full health.

Not finding in TE prospect rolodex...

2021 UDFA

"absolutely love it in dynasty"

More than Bellinger, Ferguson, Woods, Okonkwo, Harrison Bryant, Granson, Noah Gray, Moreau, etc....... ?

Where does this guy fit in the TE breakout pecking order? I'm guessing near the bottom but with a week 9 start (and possibly ROS) in his favor.

Brock Wright (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.

With T.J. Hockenson sent to Minnesota, Wright and James Mitchell are the only tight ends on Detroit's roster at the moment. Wright started a handful of games with Hockenson sidelined at the end of the 2021 season. He never topped three catches in a single contest. If he clears concussion protocol and starts in Week 9, Wright will be a low-end TE2.
