Yeah, I’m concerned that even if Goedert plays, it might not be a full snap load. Versus the Bears, it could be a very run heavy game script, particularly if the weather conditions are poor. And when Hurts does throw, it’s not like he doesn’t already have a great pair of WRs to use.Like most been in TE limbo all year. Not sure if I can trust him 1st week back, but my lineup may not give me an option with all my injuries
The Eagles did not activate Dallas Goedert (shoulder) from injured reserve for Week 15.
Goedert had said things were "trending in the right direction" to play against the Bears, but with the 12-1 Eagles cruising heading into a matchup where they are heavily favored, they will give Goedert one more week to get healthy. Goedert can be fully expected to return on Christmas Eve against the Cowboys, where he will immediately rejoin the TE1 ranks despite his long layoff.

people don’t realize that Minschew is arguably one of the best backup QB’s in the league. Behind that line and with those weapons, I fully expect him to put up respectable numbers. If Minshew is the QB this week and Goedert is playing, both things I believe are likely to occur, this is a reminder that Goedert had the best fantasy game of his career last year in the one game he played with Minshew.
Yeah. Every report had him as rolling out this week. I'll be surprised if he's not. Bears defend TEs well but otherwise they're a good defense to shake off rust with before going to Dallas and then facing NO.Didn't reports say he was looking good on the sidelines last week? My guess is he plays this weekend.
Dallas Goedert caught all five targets for 58 yards and one touchdown in the Eagles' Divisional Round win over the Giants.
Goedert got the scoring started on the opening drive with a one-handed catch-and-run touchdown against man coverage from 16 yards out. He would be denied a second score in the second quarter as he was tackled at the three, setting up a Boston Scott vulture to put the Eagles up 21-0. Goedert's volume would evaporate in the second half with the team nursing a 28-0 lead at the break but his yards after the catch ability was on full display against the man-heavy Giants defense. Goedert and the Eagles now set their sights on the winner of the Dallas-San Francisco game on Sunday.

Dallas Goedert caught 6-of-7 targets for 60 yards in the Eagles' Super Bowl LVII loss to the Chiefs.
The Eagles’ passing attack took a major step forward under Jalen Hurts, but Goedert couldn’t build on his career 2021 after he missed five games with a shoulder issue. When he returned, it was to two games with Gardner Minshew under center before Hurts came back from his shoulder issue in Week 18. The third option in the passing game behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, Goedert was still near his career peak in catches and targets per game. He remains a clear-cut, top-eight TE1 headed into 2023, one who could easily finish in the top five if he finally enjoys an overall healthy campaign. Save for his 2018 rookie campaign, Goedert has missed time every year of his NFL career.

"Dallas Goedert has been involved in pretty much every practice. He caught a quick hitter down the seam for a nice gain, and he got open on an out route for a reception. Christian Elliss was in coverage on both plays, but really nobody has been able to cover Goedert so far."

Facing pressure during live 11v11 period, Jalen Hurts fires a dart over the middle, and Dallas Goedert displays impressive strength in traffic. Hurts to Goedert connection is alive and well. Hurts hits the tight end again two plays later on final rep of the drive.
Def feeling like a Dallas Goedert day. With Christian Elliss draped all over him in 7-on-7s, Goedert hauls in another intermediate completion from Hurts. Right after the play, Elliss shouts, “How?!” and Goedert simply shrugs as he runs back to the huddle.
Ran enough routes, was never really targeted outside of once or twice.
QB prerogative today.
Dallas Goedert did not catch his only target in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the Patriots.
Despite usually having a great rapport with Hurts, Goedert couldn’t get his attention this game. There were a couple of plays late in the game where Goedert came open, but Hurts opted to throw the deep ball instead. Fantasy managers shouldn’t panic as Devonta Smith put up a goose egg last season in Week 1. Goedert will look to bounce back in Week 2 against the Vikings.

totally uninvolved.
37 routes run, according to PFF.
Devonta and AJ had around 42-43.
That's big time route participation, as BL points out.
Reminded me of my previous site in the Jordan Mason hype thread. It was 90 pages of him not doing anything, but getting a special teams tackle. Special teams tackles and route participation should be standard scoring additions to all leagues.totally uninvolved.

You should see this site’s Mason thread from last year. Or maybe not.Reminded me of my previous site in the Jordan Mason hype thread.
Guess those rb hype threads translate everywhere. Christine Michael comes to mind also. People be slashing tires over that one. Back on topic. Only maybe 5 tight ends is take over this dude. You should see this site’s Mason thread from last year. Or maybe not.Reminded me of my previous site in the Jordan Mason hype thread.

Goedert. Goedert was on pace for 78 receptions, and 1000 yards last year, but missed 5 weeks with an injury. Philly is still the better offense with the better QBGoedert or Laporta in week 2 if your life literally depended on it?
I had the same decision, looks like Goedert was the wrong choice.Goedert or Laporta in week 2 if your life literally depended on it?
This is good on you to own and I recall refuting you labeling him a TE2 in the panic thread.I was majorly down on Goddert this year due to him being the 3rd option on a team that runs w the QB on the GL, but he led the team in targets and receptions last night. Guess I need to eat some crow.

I was of course refuting the notion he can't can't survive as the third wheel in this low volume passing attack because he just did it last year.
But you kind of don't have to eat crow, not yet anyway. Even in the 1.5 PPR TE premium leagues I own Goedert he barely scratched out a usable game and his yards per route run, which I believe was better then any player in the league last year, is way down. My point I'm making here is I knew the one target game was an anomaly but he's still got be hyper efficient with his targets to return value and he's not been yet. I suspect that will change, but IMO you don't have to eat crow as of yet.
