You watched a highlight video looking for bad throws? I might start there with my issues.![]()
Jimmy Graham caught 2-of-4 passes for seven yards in Week 1 against Chicago.
Graham was an afterthought behind Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, and Geronimo Allison. There should be better days ahead for Graham, but it's a reminder of his touchdown dependence. Graham gets a Week 2 matchup with Minnesota.

Good points.Graham pretty much disappeared, but I wouldn't panic if I owned him anywhere. He's primarily a red zone weapon these days and the Packers had few snaps in the red zone. Allison and Cobb won't score from 50+ yards most weeks, the TDs will come - yards may be a different story of course.
I did try to tell you. Hes washed up.Yeah not really surprising. It's still.just one game but I never really expected Jimmy to perform like old Jimmy.
Lol have you read this thread at all?I did try to tell you. Hes washed up.
He should have quoted a few of my old posts, not yours.Lol have you read this thread at all?
Same here. I still think he's more than a redzone guy in GB.I’m holding. That was such an odd game that I’m not going to make a rash decision.
I’ll give it a couple more weeks.
Yeah I hear ya. They really didn't have any red zone snaps which is about the only place i'd guess he will excel this year. I figured pre-season if the chips fell right, he could hit double-digit tds.I’m holding. That was such an odd game that I’m not going to make a rash decision.

Well, you were wrong. Now he's with a QB that can get him the ball. All the BS about only a redzone threat was always stupid to begin with. If you can catch TDs, you can catch anywhere on the field. Just a really dumb no basis argument some people were making. There's a lot of mouths to feed in GB and he's not the focal point like Gronk or like when he was in NO but he obviously can still make plays anywhere on the field just as I suspected. TD called back on a holding penalty. 15.8 YPC. That's not a guy that is washed up.I did try to tell you. Hes washed up.
I respectfully disagree. Aaron maybe will be able to help Jimmy turn back the clock. That's definitely possible but it's also possible he can use his size to be an elite red zone threat and not be the same level threat in between the 20's.Well, you were wrong. So is Cobb's suckage,Yeah the Rodgers injury is hurting the entire offense. Skins got a legit D too.
Had a bad drop in the end zone on a scramble drill throw from Rodgers, little contact from a lions defender but graham should have had it. Then they did run a fade and the timing did seem off, Rodgers threw it more back shoulder and Graham just wasn’t ready for it, maybe if Rodgers puts a little more air on it then graham woulda had more time to adjust to catch itGraham was heavily targeted today with all the recent injuries to the WRs and had a decent showing. 6 for 76 is good, but you have to wonder if his target share is going to get better than it was today. He looks like he will exceed his yardage total and maybe his reception total from last year; but his 10 TD total from 2017 seems like a long shot.
I haven't watched the Packers play, but I'm wondering if he is struggling to "connect" with Rodgers in the same way he did with Wilson. I'm thinking Graham's 'eliteness' relied on his incredible athletic ability and Brees, earlier in his career, more than most realized. His dropped quite a few passes in Seattle and I think his unwillingness to mix it up as a physical route runner generated a lack of confidence.
Maybe Rodgers isn't all that accomplished of a thrower (this is blatant sarcasm from an earlier comment on Wilson).
I didn't see that, but it sounds familiar. The biggest frustration in Seattle was how he would frequently alligator arm catch attempts across the middle; sometimes with DBs giving him a sizeable cushion.Had a bad drop in the end zone on a scramble drill throw from Rodgers, little contact from a lions defender but graham should have had it.
This is all on Graham... He should have easily caught the pass from Rodgers but instead, it went through his hands.Bfrahm3 said:Had a bad drop in the end zone on a scramble drill throw from Rodgers, little contact from a lions defender but graham should have had it.
Still faster than Gates.sjdogs said:How slow is jimmy now. He should have scored easily
That is like saying my 75 year old grandma is faster than my 80 year old grandma.Still faster than Gates.
Doesn't make it less true. lol. That is like saying my 75 year old grandma is faster than my 80 year old grandma.
Yet Gates still commands red-zone targets from Rivers (probably due to their huge chemistry and connection). It's painfully clear that Rodgers will always target Adams more than any other of his new receivers especially in red zone.Still faster than Gates.

Interesting find... Many thanks for sharing this.Amazing Rodgers stats I just found looking into this: He's thrown 774 passes in the red zone. 281 (28%) went for TDs. He's thrown only 8 INTs in the red zone in his career.
On third and fourth down he's even better: 72 TDs on 217 passes (33%).
That’s some fuzzy math. 281/774 = 36.3%Rodgers will target who's open, probably more than any other QB in the league.

Jimmy Graham caught 4-of-6 targets for 55 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Patriots.
Graham had a goal-line target early but couldn’t come down with a one-handed catch. He made up for it later when he was on the receiving end of a perfectly thrown 19-touchdown from Aaron Rodgers. It was just his second TD of the season for Graham. Graham should be due for an uptick in red-zone chances in the second half. He's on pace for 64/850/4 line through eight games.

I think last offseason he was worth a 16-24 type pick due to his potential upside in the GB offense. Now that we have some history showing that he's very good, but not blowing up into anything special, I think his dynasty value has diminished (25-35). His production is low end TE1 and is clustered in with a bunch of younger TEs like Burton, Njoku, Rudolph, Hooper. Owners of those guys are not going to pay for Graham. His short window also makes him a non-consideration for rebuilding teams or teams looking to get younger, so that limits potential trade partners. It's going to be tough to offload him.Trying to gauge his dynasty value at the moment. I thought moving him to a contender in a 16 team for a first was reasonable. Overall pick in the 12-16 of a rookie draft. But no bites. I dont think I'd take a second in the 28-32 range. I'm in the camp who thinks he has a year or two in the tank and with Rodgers he does have a 10 TD a year upside.
Jimmy Graham (knee) remained sidelined at Tuesday's practice.
He's been missing practices the last couple weeks but continues to play through whatever is ailing him and should be out there Thursday night against Seattle. Graham had a stinker last week against Miami, catching his only target for 14 yards. Against his former Seahawks teammates, Graham will be a TE1.

Jimmy Graham - TE - Packers
Jimmy Graham was forced from Thursday's game against the Seahawks with a thumb injury and will not return.
Graham went to the locker room late in the second half. He was announced as "questionable" but was formally ruled out early in the fourth quarter. Graham had just one catch for 13 yards before departing. He could be seen in disgust on the sideline as he tried to get his thumb issue worked out. He has 10 days to get healthy for Week 12.
