TE Kyle Pitts, ATL (3 Viewers)

Atlanta Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (foot) has been at every offseason meeting but has not participated during organized team activities due to a foot injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris.'Extremely cautious with Kyle right now and what he's got going on. Obviously, don't talk about injuries this time of year, but (we are) definitely being cautious with him, so you won't see him. He's been here, he's done such a great job. ... He's been in every single thing that we've done other than the field, and he's been absolutely outstanding to be around,' Morris said.

Morris may as well have just said goodbye. You don't talk that much about a phantom injury this time of year.

Pitts might be getting traded, and that would be the best thing for both parties involved. I personally would love to see him moved and then on a separate deal see the Falcons trade for Mayer. That would be a dream for me.

I guess there is an article with a few of these teams mentioned above, but some possible trade partners for Pitts - Hou, Tenn, Pitt, Cin, NYG, Phi

It would be the most Howie Roseman move to get Pitts for a day 3 pick, and suddenly Pitts plays up to his draft spot.

Bengals would be interesting too, as they are likely in weekly shootouts again this year, and don't have much behind Chase/Higgins. As an aside, I think Zac Taylor is VERY MUCH on the hot seat this year.

Speaking of hot seats, the Giants would also be interesting, as they have a pretty big hole behind Nabers, and their QBs do tend to take deeper shots which plays more to Pitts skill set. I also wonder if the Falcons would maybe want Jalin Hyatt for them, as he's in a somewhat similar situation as Pitts (on a lower scale) but could add another deep threat on a team that could use another.

“With a steady nod, Morris acknowledged there are smaller -- perhaps unseen -- aspects Atlanta wants to see Pitts evolve.
One of them is improving his cuts during routes. Another is working with quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who made three starts to close last season. Penix and Pitts have thrown together at various points this offseason, even though Pitts was unable to participate during OTAs and minicamp.
Morris said he likes where Pitts and Penix's connection stands and how it grew down the stretch in 2024.”

After the top 4 or 5 TEs are gone, I plan on being the last team to draft a TE and likely stream....which means Pitts will not be on many, if any, of my teams.

Basically he has no passion to play the game. Just going through the motions.
That checks with what I wrote in early October:

But back when Twitter/x used to let you see "likes" I was trying to figure him out a little. Just noticed most of his "likes" were about non-football related things, stuff like architecture, some interior design, etc, etc. I think it would be super weak of me to draw any conclusions from that but it did at least get me to wonder if he's an NFL player because he's got incredible natural skills and not because he loves football. He would not be alone in that regard, but that might all tie into a profile of someone who is perfectly ok not being a majorly involved piece.

I wonder why it was deleted?
It works for me.
Greg Cosell says how much he liked him coming out and...what he summarized above.

He's..well so many know him. Greg's not one to comfortably speak so negatively and a clear good guy just doing his job

Since yesterday the link oddly works fine on my phone but not on my laptop. I thought it was a "me" issue.

And to summarize what Greg said only requires one word because that's all he said and that word was "uninspired".

I'm curious for now both sides of the coin for Pitts - What is his value that someone would trade for and what would his shareholders currently accept?

Feels like he might be beyond that "just hold because you'll get peanuts" is largely headed to "peanuts? you'll actually give me peanuts? Done deal!" If so, just curious on both fronts. Maybe I'm a dumb truther that still has some belief, but if he's going for peanuts, that would be in my price range for sure.

Never owned him but I'd take a late round flyer on him. Not sure if I buy the Greg tweet, because Pitts has been known for having a strong work ethic. He's not a good blocker, and he wasn't catching passes, so he lost snaps last year. Perhaps if he gets off to a good start this year, it snowballs in the other direction.

He's got a certain predictability with stats.
His elite skill set not being used to its full potential aside, he still is what he is.

When he falls (and this will aid that) there is a point his stats clearly are fine to draft. Unlike Chig- who also doesn't block well or box out and also spent a summer w Delanie Walker- there's no one looming

Maybe he’ll be more inspired this year? I get that Greg watched his tape from last year and concluded that, but this is a new year with a new passing game coordinator, and Pitts is still just 24. He’s a great athlete & it feels like it’s a bit early to bury the guy.

My $.02

That said, there’s a dude in my league who wants him & I could probably get Otton + a 2026 3rd for Pitts. It’s tempting, but I’ll probably hold.

Ask him to throw in a bag of Skittles to that deal. If he says yes, you should probably accept.

I think we'll know when he's done. Atlanta will add some TE that we consider. I don't see it now. I just expect the same stats as always.

He stopped time if he's 24 😁

Chuck Norris is the only person I know that could stop time.
