choo choo the propaganda train against tebow for being a christian is in full effect
How did you get that...from that?
Well.... when.... someone... makes... up... a false.... report.... its.... because... theres... an... agenda... and...i...know....you're.....slow.....but....fill....in....the....blanks
Whose agenda? And why?

How about being against tebow because he SUCKS as a QB? Sure he generates fantasy points with his legs but he is really just a glorified fullback who can throw shi*try passes that don't spiral well... the fact that people are still talking about him blows me away

That's because all he does is win.........except when he gets blown out and loses.

I've been saying the whole time that if there is a coach that can actually make Tebow useful, it's Bill Belichick.

Loving this as a Jet fan. Whenever Tebow takes a snap, it means that Tom Brady isn't. That's a win in my book.

Not that the Jets are even close to competing with the Pats, but still.

Brilliant move. All Belichek wants to do is win. All Tebow does is win. Give him a couple seasons backing up Brady and then hand him the reigns and they'll have a dynasty for another decade.

Anyone know if that mushroom cloud is coming from the ESPN studios?

@mortreport 2:34 PM
Tebow has signed w Pats as QB. Not as TE or RB. Mallett's 3rd yr - probably hits trade market in '14. Can TT develop as backup QB?

Do you truly believe that he was signed to do anything but catch or run with the ball (as a HB/FB, not a QB)?? I'd put money (monopoly money) that he won't, at anytime this year, if he even makes the team, take 1 snap as a QB. Maybe they give him a few snaps during preseason, for giggles, but he won't be taking any snaps from Brady.

I'm serious. Tebow's a winner. He can easily be molded into the Belichik prototype QB. Opponents should be scared of what his skill-set could do with Bill calling the shots... all sorts of crazy trick plays and matchup problems galore.

At the very least, now the 2 games vs. the Jets this year are gimme wins for the Pats. The only thing better than taping the other guys' practices is hiring their QB who knows all the plays and all the calls.

@SportsCenter: BREAKING: Patriots to sign QB Tim Tebow and expect him to be in minicamp tomorrow. (via @Edwerderespn)
This has to be Belichick just giving him a shot to see what he's got. I wonder if he'll be used as a FB or TE rather than QB.
I'd venture to guess that this was more McDaniels' influence of Belichick than Belichick deciding to give him a shot. Because there's so much bagage that Tebow brings (obviously not of his own doing), I can't think that Belichick decided to sign him to simple see what he could bring to the team... I would believe more that Belichick and Co. (with McDaniels leading the charge) have a specific idea and plan on utilizing him in their offense that doesn't include QB. All conjecture on my part, though.

The conversion went something like this:

McDaniels: "Can we sign Timmy? Please please please please? Please please please please? Please please please please?"

Belichick: "No, forget it."

McDaniels: "Please please please please? Please please please please? Please please please please?"

Belichick: "No, shut up about it."

McDaniels: "Please please please please? Please please please please? Please please please please?"

Belichick: "No, just shut up please!"

McDaniels: "Please please please please? Please please please please? Please please please please?"

Belichick: "I said no! PLEASE just shut up!"

McDaniels: "Please please please please? Please please please please? Please please please please?"

Belichick: "No, and will you PLEASE shut up about it?!"

McDaniels: "Please please please please? Please please please please? Please please please please?"

Belichick: "Fine, sign him. Anything to shut you up! Jeez!"

effort post, this guy is so mad tebow got signed

I haven't watched the 4 letter network since the news but I assume that the "Tebow should start" gimmick that the company is forced to shove down our throats has already begun.

Do you believe that Tebow has what it takes to be an effective running back? I sure don't. He's slow for the position and has never shown the ability to catch the ball. I honestly don't know why they're signing him. The Pats are at their best when they're snapping the ball to Brady and letting him wing it all over the field. If I'm playing New England, I'm over the moon happy every time Tebow gets the football. (assuming he makes the team and they play him, which I don't see happening).

Tebow's "value" is as a full time gimmick QB. He needs to touch the ball every play in order to take advantage of the handful of times every game when an NFL defense will make a mistake, over-pursue, have a defender fall down in a key spot, etc. He relies on broken plays in order to move the ball and score points. As a part time player, he has no upside. If you sub him at QB, the other team just keys on stopping him from running because they know he can't throw (saw it pretty much every time the Jets ran the wildcat last year). If you put him in alongside your full time QB, who cares? Then he's just a slow running back with poor hands that you really don't have to account for.

I will say that the idea of Belicheck telling Skip Bayless to go #### himself every week does make the move worthwhile.

Its about mismatches and always has been in the Pats system.Tebow has the physical talent hes just dumb. If he can follow the gameplan he can be effective as a FB/TE.

The press conferences after a loss where Belicheck gets asked over and over again why he didn't use Timmay will be money

I don't expect it to happen this year, but I do expect it to happen. He was signed for what he can become, not for the present. People forget that not too long ago it was standard for rookie QBs to sit on the bench for 3-5 years and learn. The high salaries they are paid now out of the draft has sped things up as teams expect a return much quicker. But people who think Tebow was not signed to play QB are mistaken from what I have read.

Well of course not, Brady is a QB not a C :P

10 faces = real mad about tebow getting signed

Maybe they brought him in so they have someone that can run the Pistol offense against the defense in practice and camp.

This is what a post from a true, loyal Tebowner looks like. I am pumped up about this signing. We get to see this guy suck on yet another team.
