Dont you hate when recievers rack up the yardage despite having a horrible game. The eagles never stop throwing and to throw in the fact Owens has some of the worst hands in the NFL I believe he is th emost overated reciever and NO I didnt play him today.

As a Cowboys fan I couldn't agree more. He should have huge games seeing as how PHI throws the ball 80% of the time( or whatever % it is). Anyways it was good to see them get routed today in DEN.

Conversely, Chad Johnson doesn't get anywhere near the number of targets Owens get yet produces at a high level since he catches almost everything thrown his way.

Um, Owens (whom I dislike probably more than any other NFL player, except for maybe Rodney Harrison) had huge yardage becaues he juked Bailey out of his hamstring on that 91-yard TD.

No he didn't juke him he is just a david boston who has mange to stay healthy. Id like to see the number of dropped balls he has in a game. Not just the stats but actually watch the games and count the catchable balls he misses its outragous

Owens is a dominant receiver, and arguably the best in the league. He was getting covered well by one of the best cover corners in the game, his team was down three scores, and he managed to singlehandedly bring it back within two scores. That was a huge, momentum turning play. But when Chad Johnson was having a 47 yard game last week, and barely contributed in a huge division game, but catches a 47 yard pass in garbage time, there's not a peep about how he's overrated. Then again, the Owens double standard is huge. Owens does a TD celebration, and he's showboating. Chad Johnson riverdances, and he's idolized. Interestingly. Johnson cites Owens' pom poms as the best TD celebration. And adding to the irony, Steve Smith punches one of his teammates and breaks his nose, but the media loves him when he puts up big numbers. Then he has a huge game today and starts taunting the Vikings with his rowing-the-boat celebration, and it's just silly fun.

   Right. A guy who is going to ecllipse 100TD's for his career is overrated.

Worst hands in the NFL?? Come on. He catches balls from one of the most inconsistent QB's in the NFL.

Posts like this are hilarious. Go ask Champ Bailey or the Patriots if TO is the most overrated receiver in the NFL.

Terrell Owens is the best receiver in the game. He has strength and speed. Unlike Randy Moss, he'll run the middle and take shots. He also blocks downfield. He is a jerkoff, no doubt about it, but to suggest he's a bad receiver who gets lucky, over and over and over again, is just being a moron.

Nothing more than a :fishing: . Move along. Nothing more to see here.

:hookinmouth:Hi Art,

You saw a different broadcast than I did then. He juked Bailey badly to score. Granted, Baily wasn't 100% with the hamstring but his size / quickness ratio is off the charts.

He does not have great hands. But he has plenty good enough hands for a WR. Add to that his total dominance in the other aspects of his game and he's in the elite group.

Vandalay, face it -- on that 91-yarder, Owens made Champ look like the overrated, gives-up-the-big-play-his-whole-career "shutdown corner" that he is. If you say he didn't juke him, you clearly didn't see -- or choose not to see -- the actual play.

LOL at him missing "a lot of catchable balls". You might want to check who's throwing it and make a different overrated thread.

Moronic thread. TO is probably the best wr in footballHaving said that, he did drop alot easy balls today

Didn't it look like Bailey realized how bad he just got owned and grabbed his leg as his built in excuse?LAUNCH

Absolutely--and that is why he catches hell. I wish I had Tivo so I could count the number of balls he dropped, that an NFL wide receiver ought to have caught. I can remember 3 for sure, and I didn't watch the whole game. The drop on the sidelines with McNabb scrambling to his right certainly could have extended that drive. . .

I think you're forgetting the numerous times McFro threw horrible passes to him.

exactly...like quick slants that hit him in the ankles. In McNabb's defense, he was under pressure most of the day. But alot of these passes Owens "should" have caught, were poorly thrown balls.
