**Texans at Packers** (-3, 48.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Lions and Vikings might be the Game of the Week but this is certainly another prime match up that folks will be flipping back and forth
Great game! I'm really high on the Packers for the future, and frankly to make a decent post-season run this year.

But I feel the Texans are just a better team at this point, and I'll take them +130 to win outright in Lambeau.

I think Green Bay wins this without Nico Collins in the Houston lineup. You don't lose a big-time WR1 like that and just continue to dominate. I know the game is half defense and Will Anderson and company had a monster week against NE, but you can't judge a defense based on a get-right game against the NEP.

Green Bay in a tight one here, 28-24.

Game of the week. Curious if this Houston secondary can handle the Packers and their potent passing game. Like Bart Scott, CANT WAIT

Nice game here.
Potential for "fantasy gold"
Texans with a few injuries on defense.
Could be the difference here...

Home Team Pack- 30
Visiting Team Tex- 23

That or DET/MIN

I'm a Houston fan so I'm a bit biased but we rarely see these two teams play. Also high potential for an offensive shootout. Stroud v. Love or Goff v. Darnold? I know which matchup I'm choosing.

Houston’s missing 4 starters on defense, our 2 leading tacklers, #2 corner and a Safety. Houston offense needs to be clicking all game, otherwise GB may run away with it. Go Texans!

Not sure the Texans can keep up with Love and crew as the Pack D can do enough to generate turnovers that can lead to positive field position. Has to be a Mixon game to ctrl clock keep things close. Packers Achilles heel might be with their kicker. Another fun game.

Not sure the Texans can keep up...they are 5-1 right?
They are one of the Top 3 teams in the AFC right now, yes/no?
How high are the Packers on your rankings, #1 overall?

I'm not offended but I think we are a little fast to run with the Packers in this one
You make it sound like the Pack is playing the Patriots today

Houston is also good on BOTH sides of the football, this should be.a great game

Diggs, and Nixon and Alexander going at it before the game. Refs and coaches had to separate them.

Apparently this is carry over from a previous Buffalo-Green Bay set of alteracations.

I think these are two pretty evenly matched teams overall. But Houston's down 5 starters on defense (including the entire LB crew), and three receivers including Nico Collins. Plus home field for GB.

I think Packers win this one 31-27.

Jalen Pitre with a tip, Neville Hewitt (backup linebacker) with the pick returned into the red zone.

Tank Dell normally would have that catch for a touchdown. Sun is directly behind the QB, wonder if he had problem seeing it.

Texans got a FG off the turnover.

Packers punted next possession. 3 and out I think?

Texans got into FG range but then a sack (blame Dalton Schultz for not blocking the guy) knocked them out of FG range, punted.

"I'm not offended but I think we are a little fast"...yeah I need to settle down, right champ?

All good but don't belittle me for challenging
I get it but it was quite reasonable to ask for clarification

Enjoy your Sunday
Cheers!

Didn't see which Packer that was down, but he's pretty surely concussed. Was doing the fencing response thing there on the ground.

#7 LB Quay Walker

Quay Walker. Limbs definitely went stiff as he was on his back. Players crouched around him as the trainers tend to him.

Knee to the head, friendly fire.

Texans just giving up free runners at Stroud. Need to fix the protection, not even looking at some of the pass rushers.

Texans punt and Packer gets hit by the bouncing ball, Texans jump on it.

That was very close to a lateral. Thrown at the 37 and grabbed at about the 37.

I don't know they can overturn it, but I'd have challenged.

It’s crazy to me you can challenge a play the refs blow dead. Why would the players pursue the ball when the play is declared over.

Because if there is a clear recovery, they can overturn the call and award the ball to who recovered it.

But a clear recovery on a dead play. Why would a player pursue a ball on a dead play?

Similarly, if a player is declared down, and a player hits them after the whistle that’s a penalty. However, if that tackle isn’t made, then they review the play and realize his knee never touch, he is awarded the extra yards.

It’s a flaw in the officiating. The term is play to the whistle. Not through it.

it isn't a flaw in the officiating. The rules specifically say that replay can overturn a play and a clear recovery after the whistle can be awarded.

So if the ball is loose you don't stop trying to recover it at the whistle. That's the rules. "Why would a player pursue a ball on a dead play"... because he knows the team that recovers it could end up with it after replay.

CJ Stroud not living up to his draft pick. Baker Mayfield was like 20th rounder and I got to start starting him over these "stud" QBs like Allen and Stroud.

I understand the rules. I just think it’s flawed. Why listen to whistle at all?

Your argument is on the legality of the rule. Mine is on the logic of it.

Every player has been habitualized through thousands of snaps to stop at the whistle. It’s encoded.

He's also missing his best WR and he's done pretty well overall
No 8 entering this week in my league
Sure I'm disappointed today but I'm not gonna make blanket statements like that
Enjoy Baker Mayfield, you make it sound like a death sentence

Stroud's biggest problem is this OL's pathetic pass protection. They're ok run blocking with Mixon (who makes them look good), but they can't pass block for ####
