Texting vs. Talking - which do you prefer? (1 Viewer)

I can't send **** pics if all I'm doing is talking to someone - texting wins yet again.

I like texting. You can communicate when you have time and don't have to catch the person at a perfect time. Talking is better though if you really need to discuss something in detail

Like doing this to communicate with parents in the neighborhood. "Can you send XXX home?", "Is so and so available to play?" Makes thinks easier and shorter on both ends!

I pretty much only talk on the phone to make doctor appointments or to call my GF my dinner order when she's in the drive thru line.

Wouldn't you want to send her a text so she got your order exactly right?

With autocorrect, who knows what you'd get?

My wife upgraded her iphone to one of those huge Samsung phones recently. I noticed that on texting when you start typing a word it will have 3 guesses as to what you want to type above it. I'd say 95% of the time one of those choices is what you want and you can just pick your word after typing one letter. Freaking awesome! I really hope the new iphone has something like this.

It does... just activate the auto-complete and it constantly provides the most likely option above what you're typing... updating on the fly. You like the word just hit space or click on the word and it completes it.
