I don't love Billy Joel, but I like of few off of his album from this year ...

Billy Joel - "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)"

"Caddilac-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack!"
My favorite billy joel tunesing this song all the time

great pick!

10.08 James Taylor - "Handy Man"

Not my favorite by any stretch for him, but I'll take it in the 10th round.

So are we done for the night, with the exception of makeup picks?

Wildbill picks...

9 - Waylon Jennings - "Luckenbach, Texas"
I chose this song because it brings back great memories. I visited Luckenbach several years ago with some buddies of mine, and saw a show by Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker, and several others.Down in Luckenbach, Texas

There ain't nobody feelin' no pain

good song. i like every song on The Stranger album.
I don't love Billy Joel either, and I don't love any of the songs on the Stranger. But put them all together, and they make for a near great album.

9.16 - Fleetwood Mac - "Secondhand News"

10.02 - Pablo Cruise - "Watcha Gonna Do?"

In honor of our friends Dahn Undah (and points east):

The Saints - "(I'm) Stranded"

and

Split Enz - "My Mistake"
This is not right.I reserved one of these for my last round pick. Didn't think BOTH would be gone.

Saints song is an Aussie classic, while My Mistake was Split Enz starting to take things a bit seriously after pissing around for a few years. Their next few albums are classics, but this was the beginning of something special.

I'm going to PM DC to get us started.

Obviously it's early, but I'd like to get this puppy done sooner rather than later today.

GB leaving early on a Friday

Playing catch up here

10:11 - Generation X - Your Generation

Classic punk from Billy Idols band before he want on to seek fame and fortune.

Lacks the hard edge of a lot of other punk material and the punk movement generally disowned this band, but it was fun

8.16--Atlanta Rhythm Section--"So Into You"

9.02--Rose Royce--"Car Wash"

10.16--ABBA--"Money, Money, Money"

11.02--Mary MacGregor--"Torn Between Two Lovers"

A bunch of catching up to do here. I don't think any of these have already been picked.

Nice four-play. I don't think I'd change the station if those came on.

I'd be digging the first three, but I may fumble for the dial when the last one came on. ;)

I was thinking the same thing. That fourth one is a bit disturbing.

Ok, for my 11th round pick, I'll take a classic country tune by a classic country artist.

Kenny Rogers- "Lucille"

This song always left me feeling sorry for the jilted husband with his big shaking hands, even though it was his own fault for having "four hundred children and the crops in the field" The child support is going to be outrageous!

You know you and your buddy would go all Tommy Boy on that song. :headbang:

I always liked this one. My granddad used to sing it "you pick a fine time to leave me, loose wheel."

I would rather have had "Xanadu", but I'll happily take this little diddy way back in the 11th round.

Rush - "Closer To The Heart"
