big leg, dome, plays for a team that can't score, but lacks experience. thoughts?
FixedThis is what I did.I drafted him, but ended up dropping him when Rackers was declared the starter for the Texans.
did you trade for Scobee?Picked him up as an early FA in a dynasty league to replace Scobee as my backup. I like what I've seen so far and he might even end up supplanting my starter, Gostkowski, at least on some weeks.
I drafted Scobee, just like I drafted Gostkowski. We have 14 teams, 40-man rosters and 8 rookie draft rounds. Even with IDP's, picking up a PK in a good situation makes sense in the later rounds. Scobee's fine as a PK, but the offense he plays for simply sucks.did you trade for Scobee?Picked him up as an early FA in a dynasty league to replace Scobee as my backup. Thats exactly why I did it!!!!Hope so!Took him as my kicker.. mainly because I just wanted to say "Beuhler? Beuhler? Anyone? Anyone?"big leg, dome, but lacks experience. thoughts?
Good catch, thanks. I'll update the main post. This makes me a bit more comfortable about Reed.I'm pretty sure the Falcons play @Heinz Field

Reason #6 why kickers should be dropped from rosters. So far, six different NFL kickers have hit field goals of 50+ yards today. I sense a post coming tomorrow to your nearest Kickology blog.
Good call.I can't see Buehler being a good FG kicker. IIRC he kicked FG's in college, but he was drafted because of his booming leg which pins opposing teams back on kickoffs. He didn't even try any FG's last year. In an attempt to save money (and a roster spot) they are trying to have him pull double duty to handle FG's and kickoffs. It has already been stated that even if he struggles at FG's and they have to bring in a dedicated FG kicker Buehler will remain on the roster strictly for kickoffs. I envision the Cowboys bringing in a real FG kicker by week 6 or so. IMO his accuracy will not develop as they are hoping. With so many other proven serviceable kickers out there I can't see a single reason to jump on his bandwagon. Typical Jerry, spend over a billion on a new stadium but lose a couple of games because he's trying to save a couple million on a kicker.
>>>>New Orleans head coach Sean Payton said of his kicker:"A year ago I would have had three kickers in today... he kicked well in the postseason ... he's our kicker."<<<<Yeah.I just got inspired to try to trade Larry Tynes for Hartley.Hartley still has a job?
Gano - this guy looked good. Might be a sneaky smart play this year.Just take Graham Gano in the last round and thank me later. Guy is money on a team that should have a good defense (=good field position), and a struggling offense(more FGs than TDs).
That'll will show up in kickermania in the next week or two...Mike,
I find your weekly list: http://subscribers.footballguys.com/downlo...ickermania2.pdf
Is there a ranking for the remainder of the season (as you've done in the past)?
Thanks,
