Egad...I saw them back in the day when they opened for David Lee Roth.

29. Poison – Flesh & Blood (1990) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b7/FleshAndBloodOriginal.jpg/220px-FleshAndBloodOriginal.jpg

Not my favorite Poison album, but to paraphrase/steal a quote from Mr. David Wooderson “That’s what I like about these strippers, I get older, they stay the same age.” A decade ago a man didn’t have to worry about it, but nowadays good luck finding a chick in her early 20’s that digs this countdown. I always ease them in with this one and its smooth sailing from then on out.

1. Strange Days of Uncle Jack

2. Valley of Lost Souls

3. (Flesh & Blood) Sacrifice

4. Swampjuice

5. Unskinny Bop

6. Let It Play

7. Life Goes On

8. Come Hell or High Water

9. Ride the Wind

10. Don’t Give up an Inch

11. Something to Believe In

12. Ball and Chain

13. Life Loves a Tragedy

14. Poor Boy Blues
Poison's worst album of the era IMHO, unskinny bop makes me want to punch somebody.
Brett Michaels?

War's order is definitely out of whack. WASP and Slave to the Grind are way, way low. Britney Fox, Danger Danger, and Enuff Z Nuff are way too high. Still love the thread. Listening to Black N Blue at the moment.

Too bad we could not settle the order like the guys do on That Metal Show when they are doing their Top 5. We all just debate it with a certain amount of time on the clock so compromises are made but majority rules. War's list is not bad and I can live with most of it. It just needs a little tweaking.

I want to punch him for dozens of reasons. But, yes, that would be one of the reasons.

Whitesnake slide it in is awesome i still play tunes off that album. The self titled album was so over played that i still cant listen to it.

The crue whitesnake tour was just awesome.

Christmas and countdowns aren’t the same unless you invite Uncle Ted. Yeah- he’s a little out there and probably armed to the tooth, but he will always have your back.

1. Coming of Age

2. Bad Reputation

3. Runaway

4. High Enough

5. Damn Yankees

6. Come Again

7. Mystified

8. Rock City

9. Tell Me How You Want It

10. Piledriver

I'll be the first to admit I effed up some order in 50-25. I got a wild hair up my ### the other day at lunch after taking my cataract vitamins and decided to throw this together. I promise 25-1 are much more thought out. :headbang:

Saw DY in 1993 with Jackyl as the opener. By the end of the night both Dupree and Uncle Ted were in jail!

"Singer Jesse James Dupree of the band Jackyl was arrested for mooning an audience in Cincinnati. The band was touring with Damn Yankees, who also had some trouble. Damn Yankees’ guitarist Ted Nugent shot a flaming arrow, which was a violation of Cincinnati’s fire code. Dupree was released on bond. Nugent paid a fine."

Cincinnati has been a traditionally tough place over the years, Who?

They're on first.

Is Night Ranger eligible? I agree that nothing listed should so far should be higher then Stay Hungry.

I know Poison fits the genre, but damn I can't stand that bubblegum band. CC is a good guitar player, but such an #######. Theirs is the only concert I've ever walked out on.

This is an oldie…. Well it’s an oldie where I come from and many of you will #####, but this one goes out to my Clash of Clans buddy. I put more effort into the last half of the countdown so stay tuned.

1. I Remember Now

2. Anarchy – X

3. Revolution Calling

4. Operation: Mindcrime

5. Speak

6. Spreading the Disease

7. The Mission

8. Suite Sister Mary

9. The Needle Lies

10. Electric Requiem

11. Breaking the Silence

12. I Don’t Believe in Love

13. Waiting for 22

14. My Empty Room

In some circles Nirvana is solely responsible for killing hair metal.

This is easily a top 10 Album regardless of genre. You'll have a hard time convincing me there's 25 better Hair albums.

Absolutely! Dr X must be behind the conspiracy keeping this album out of the top 10. ;)

Metallica was revered too. But yeah, Nirvana & Pearl Jam were big during the decline.

GNR sent themselves into obscurity. At no point during the time Nirvana was around were they remotely as big as GNR

Agreed.

I didn't realize that Use Your Illusion (I and II) and Nevermind were released 1 week apart. So GnR had no problem withstanding the sudden popularity of Nirvana

I complete agree that Nirvana was the death of hair metal.
That and the fickle wussy fans that bailed.
Here are the hair band songs in the Billboard Hot 100 of 1991:

"High Enough" Damn Yankees

"Wind of Change" Scorpions

"Love of a Lifetime" FireHouse

"Hole Hearted" Extreme

"After the Rain" Nelson

"Signs" Tesla

"Something to Believe In" Poison

"Silent Lucidity" Queensrÿche

"I Saw Red" Warrant

"Miles Away" Winger

:X :

Can you blame anyone for abandoning the genre, especially when Nevermind came out?

Short answer to your question...yes.

I see what you did there cherry picking a few songs (i.e. ballads) as if it speaks for all the albums. I could do the same with other generas.

I agree, most of these bands really took a dump in the nineties. I remember how jaded I got buying new CD after new CD and they would suck balls. Everybody wanted to be Poison. That's what killed it.
