Open the tray, swipe up on the app you want to close. So are apps running all the time now? How do you close them out of the newly designed "tray" now?

I'm assuming it's still trying to connect to the Apple servers.
I'm assuming it's still trying to connect to the Apple servers.same with me. i just think the servers are overloaded. It must have to connect to do some verification stuff. So I downloaded it to my phone without iTunes and when I hit "install now" it shows "verifying update" for awhile then comes back with "software update not available at this time. Try again later".
I don't care about not getting it done, just curious if it's downloaded to my phone already, why isn't it available?I'm assuming it's still trying to connect to the Apple servers.
iTunes Radio is free with adds. Yeah the price you see is the price you pay if you want to own the song. Thanks!Open the tray, swipe up on the app you want to close. So are apps running all the time now? How do you close them out of the newly designed "tray" now?
So is iTunes Radio free? I see a price in the upper right corner of a song playing. I assume that's if I want to buy it. Not that I'm being charged.
Also, I don't have any music downloaded into my phone, yet I'm seeing my library in music.

I had the same thing. I don't know if it was coincidence, but I left the house (moving away from my wifi) and the installation completed.Ditto....same with me. i just think the servers are overloaded. Different processors to start 5c has A6 vs the 5s A7 & a motion coprocessor. 5s also has a superior camera & flashHelp an idiot, please.
Thanks, in advance!
- What is the big difference between the 5c and the 5s? Again, for an idiot.

My coworker did his via cell signal and it took him all of 20 minutes start to finish with zero issues. Downloaded it in downtown LA at lunch time, so no lack of bandwidth being used in the area.I wonder if over the air is better than hooked to my macbook for the update or vice versa
Had this issue 2x. Finally worked when plugged in. Not sure if there is a connection there. So I downloaded it to my phone without iTunes and when I hit "install now" it shows "verifying update" for awhile then comes back with "software update not available at this time. Try again later".

It has a very Windows 8 feel to it to me. Very unApple like IMO.Had this issue 2x. Finally worked when plugged in. So far: Eh. The design does NOT lend itself to busy backgrounds. I took away my personalized background and I like the look better.
Took me a minute to figure out how to close apps in the dock (flick up).
Not sure I like the multipage folders as much.
New typography is pretty cool...
Like the "Zoom" effect transitioning between apps. If it were any slower it'd be annoying though.
Some of the new icons are sorta random looking...don't really have as much of a "Family" look
New camera is okay.
New photos section is kinda confusing... will have to play wiht that more.
Overall... its a solid refresh but I'm not sure it's quite as great as it was sold as.
Interface is fluid and snappy with no hangs thus far
An app or two will start to load but will crash and I can't get them to open. That sucks.
B- Overall Grade
Been using chrome and like it. May give safari another lookI like it so far, although some things about safari bother me. I don't like having to tap the screen once to get to my bookmarks and the back button. It's a small thing but adds to a waste of time when browsing.
Really? My photos that were my background previously were automatically there already.Stupid complaint, but I can't use any of my previous photos as backgrounds and they can't be scaled down to fit the screen.
those are songs you purchased. If you hit the cloud, it downloads to phoneI don't have iTunes Match but a lot of my iTunes library is showing up under songs/artists with the little download from iCloud icon. What means this?
Oh they were there but now they're oversized and don't fit, none of my photos do. Weird.Really? My photos that were my background previously were automatically there already.Stupid complaint, but I can't use any of my previous photos as backgrounds and they can't be scaled down to fit the screen.
I haven't found a way to fix this either. Oh well my 140 hour download makes me feel somehow better this fine morning.Stupid complaint, but I can't use any of my previous photos as backgrounds and they can't be scaled down to fit the screen.
When browsing, swipe from edge of left side of screen to right goes "back" in browser, opposite goes forward. Don't need the back button anymore.Abraham said:I like it so far, although some things about safari bother me. I don't like having to tap the screen once to get to my bookmarks and the back button. I believe this is the new multi-tasking feature. It used to be that you had to open the app for it to be running. So things like Facebook posts wouldn't update until you switched back to that app. Now they'll update no matter what app you're using.Possible battery saver. Just scanning through the settings app I came across something I don't remember seeing in ios6: Background App Refresh.
Settings>General>Background App Refresh and turn that crap off. Not sure how important it is but it tells you it may save battery life by turning it off.
if you haven't installed it yet, it's listed on the Software Updates page under Settings. Tap "Learn More"I'm sure I overlooked it, but is there a summary of what the new OS does?
It's basically the way WebOS handled it, if not an exact copy of how they did multi-tasking. It's not quite the Android method, but it's as close as they will get. They even went so far as to copy the "card" swipe system.I believe this is the new multi-tasking feature. It used to be that you had to open the app for it to be running. settings>notificationsHow do I get the weather and stocks to appear in the pull-down tray? Right now all I see are appointments and missed calls and messages.
That makes sense and something I don't need. Well I left maps turned on, I'm guessing that lets it continue the directions when the phone is locked? Left it on just in case, everything else is off.I believe this is the new multi-tasking feature. It used to be that you had to open the app for it to be running. Imagine it ranges from no difference to VERY slight preference for 7 in direct private sale.I think this was asked earlier but I can't find it. Is there more resale value in a 4S that's running the most recent ios6 or the new 7? Does it matter?
unlocked and jailbroken phones usually command a $50 premium. Now that unlocking is so easy that premium may have diminished quite a bit. I haven't checked lately.I think this was asked earlier but I can't find it. Is there more resale value in a 4S that's running the most recent ios6 or the new 7? Does it matter?
