The Apple iPhone Thread (2 Viewers)

ok guys I realize there is already 45 pages about the Iphone. I scanned threw the first few to find my answer but could not. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to delete an app I downloaded...I downloaded it 2 days ago and today there was an update and it said I have to delete the original and redo it....TIA
Tap and hold down the icon of the application you want to delete. After a few seconds your screen will start to “wiggle” and an X will appear next to each of the apps you’ve installed via the App Store.Tap the X next to the icon of the app you want to remove. When prompted, select Delete.

Anyone find any cool apps recently?

Emergency Radio is a fun app, and as far as utility goes, CardStar is really cool as well. CardStar eliminates the need to carry around any kind of membership card, which is kinda nice.

I haven't played with my iPhone in awhile, but I think you also have to delete it from your iTunes so it won't reload next time you sync.

This is true. Good point.

Anyone know if a new iphone is coming out this summer? Thinking of getting one but wondering if I should wait a few months. Thanks.

Once you delete it from the phone it doesn't return until you reload it.

Rumors last night were that it's called the iPhone 3GS and features video (among other things) as well as twice the speed of prior models.

NON- IPHONE Questions but ITUNES question for Apple guys

Has anyone noticed changes in itunes. I used to be able to arrange my playlists and library from itunes. Now all I get is the icon for my ipod but no ability to make playlists or mixes. Anyone know what I am missing

Rumors last night were that it's called the iPhone 3GS and features video (among other things) as well as twice the speed of prior models.
Also it should have increased resolution, larger storage options (16/32 GB being reported) and be a totally new architecture along the lines of system on a chip (SoC) technology, which would afford faster processing, snappier UI, better battery life. I think this new phone is going to sell and perform very very well.

well we can forget about the rumors now and see what they actually announce today, right? Anything yet?

90 minutes into it and no signs of anything. People are getting a bad feeling. Apple stock is tumbling. One thing: At&T won't have MMS capability ready for a couple months, even though 3.0 software is ready for it.

AT&T supports MMS for other phones on their network, correct? If so, can anyone explain to me why it would be so difficult to then support the iPhone?

Woah. Some of these new apps are unreal. Jesus. How the heck is anyone competing with Apple at this point?

Apple wants the iPhone to be more affordable. The existing 8GB iPhone 3G will remain -- for $99.
RIM and Palm just shat themselves.
rims already practically giving their devices away to enterprisesall about the carriers

until apple opens it up past ATT I dont see a huge influx at enterprises

I still dont understand why they are limiting to just ATT. how is that a good financial decision?

Depends on what ATT is paying them for the exclusivity I guess.

I love all these Verizon snobs.

ATT is fine depending on the area, just like Verizon is fine depending on the area.

They both claim to have the best coverage, fewest dropped calls etc.

But the bottom line is there is going to be more people #####ing then complimenting.

I've had 0 problems with ATT where I live, and I know my friends on Verizon have had loads of issues.

Give it a rest with the "Verizon is the messiah" crap, it's nauseating.

Friend went to buy a Palm today and it was sold out.OK . . . so how bad is AT&T?
Fine in my area. Your results may vary. :excited:
but they cant support picture and video messaging?? (yet)
Not on the iPhone, for whatever reason. My old Razr on AT&T did.

16G vs 32G just affects the actual storage capacity of media (music/video), correct? That doesnt matter regarding the performance of the actual phone, right? I just bought a 120G iPod, so dont see me needing storage on a phone really.
