When multitask bar is showing, press and hold on one of the apps in the bar. When they start shaking, press the minus sign of the app that you want to remove from bar.

I have an old 3G that I upgraded to iOS4 and it has really slowed down my response time. Luckily I have a new phone on order and won't have to suffer long.

My order still shows processing. WTF. People on macrumors are getting phones yesterday and today and ordered them 2 days AFTER me. WTH is going on.So, I ended up ordering both phones on AT&T.com last night. It was pretty painless.
I've checked the Order Status page about 5 times today....still shows "processing." Someone needs to process that #####!
Day 2 with new Iphone. It is a nice upgrade over 3gs. I have to use a case (clumsy) and I have had zero reception issues. I think it is better on calls.
Only small issed. When I press on the back of the phone is makes a small popping noise. Does anyone else have this? Wonder if I should bring it in.

my only real complaint with the phone is that when I'm talking on the phone and have it pressed up against the side of my face/head, I sometimes accidentally push buttons like 'speaker, mute, keypad, add call' etc with the side of my face. Very annoying.
Anyone else have this problem? I guess I need to start using the lock button on top to avoid this.

I have no case on mine yet and haven't really had any problems, but everyone seems to agree that putting a case on it will fix the issue.

Yes -- I have had this happen to me several times. Word on the street is that this will be addressed in a software update soon. Unlike the antenna issue, it makes sense that this could be tweaked through software because Apple did move the proximity sensor on the new phone. It used to be left of the earpiece speaker (where the front-facing camera is now) but now it's located above the earpiece speaker.I hope Apple bundles this fix into the first software update.

Yea the case works, probably better to have it on anyway. Gives the phone a better grip and keeps it from sliding all over the place when you put it down.

Just get a case. If you are going to shell out $30 for a case anyway, I'd get something other than the stupid bumpers.Either that or go cheap and just put a strip of duct tape over the problem areas.Three dropped calls yesterday.

I feel so stupid, I thought the '2-3 day shipping' option meant that I would have the phone in 2-3 days, but the phone takes three weeks to ship and the extra 10 dollars just speeds it up a bit so I cancelled my order. And every AT&T store I've called is out of stock. I really need this phone before Aug 1st. Guess I'll just have to reserve one for $50...

I have the Chase app and it does seem cool. You take a picture of your check and it deposits it into your account. Holy Buck Rogers. I think the only strings are you can deposit a max of $1,000 per day and $3,000 per month total? I'm curious to see how long the hold is on funds deposited this way. I'm guessing it would be longer than 24 hours or it'd be susceptible to fraud?Anyways, like sho nuff, I'm leery of doing anything finance related on my phone. Heck I try not to do it wirelessly on my laptop (with WPA2 encryption). It's probably safe but I only check accounts on my hardwired desktops

Sure...some of it is paranoia. Still, Id rather not have the "if it gets snagged" attitude. Taking a pic of a check written to you isn't any more dangerous than checking your balance on the phone. That pic is more dangerous to the person that wrote the check to you since the routing & account info is on the check.I have the Chase app and it does seem cool. Yeah, that's what I meant by the susceptible to fraud. Some (stupid) kid could take his parent's check, sign it, photo it, and deposit it. I'm sure Chase has thought of these types of situations which is why I'm curious about the hold length. I'm pretty sure the low monthly $3,000 deposit cap has to do with this.I'd be pretty pissed if someone deposited my check this way. Same. They seem to be working themselves out though. Maybe individual apps are taking care of it. But I do get a different message when linking to my vehicle although it was like that before just a different message.Also, some reception issues with new OS. No dropped calls or anything but sometimes it is fuzzy if I hold it a certain way.Just now figuring out you can drop apps into each other and create folders. Love that.
Have this issue too, never with my 3g. Very annoying and i hope it is fixed soon with a software upgrade

I know a lot of people have been mocking the $30 price point for Apple's "rubber band" bumper, and I'm not arguing that Apple is charging a premium for it. I finally saw one live on a client's iPhone 4 and pretty impressed with it. What I didn't realize was that it has the exact steel buttons built into it for the volume controls and screen lock. Don't know if any of the third-party options have the same, but it really has a high-end feel when on the phone. Maybe not $30 worthy, but I came away impressed none-the-less.Use the zoom on the side profile in Apple's gallery to see close-ups of the buttons.The Noid said:

I think Apple is handling this wrong. THey are using the PC to say that (1) the results are typical of phones and (2) only a small fraction - .5% - have called Apple Care complaining. Apple is smarter then this. The problem with #1 is that these users bought an iPhone because its supposed to be the best. Legitimizing the competition by saying "our reception is bad and so is theirs...its the same" is stupid. For (2), most people aren't calling Apple Care because the press has done an excellent job reporting that the dropped calls are a problem and Apple has no fix for it. Acting like Apple Care calls = the true number of upset users is stupid.
ETA - saying that return rates are low is also misleading. People are waiting for Apple to fix the issue. No one who bought an iPhone wants to return it, they want it to work.
ETA2 - So Jobs just admitted that their brand new antenna system is actually worse then the 3GS antenna...
