Is the hesitation only because of jail-breaking? I don't have mine jailbroken, nor do I know the benefits of it really.
For me it is. I refuse to go back to a vanilla iPhone ever again. Is the hesitation only because of jail-breaking? I don't have mine jailbroken, nor do I know the benefits of it really.

I use my jailbroken iPhone 4's (jailbroken on 4.0 OS I believe) 3G connection, which is still on the now grandfathered unlimited data plan from AT&T, exclusively for my laptop's internet connection. This frees up my crappy DSL connection to be used freely for gaming. This alone makes jailbreaking worth it, but you can also use JB apps like Installous to get games/apps for free.Thought the same thing when I clicked to look at a new post and saw the original one, dating back to 2007. Amazing how it has transformed mobile telephony in about 4 years.
At that point, we basically had the e-mail-only Blackberry and the nokia phone? Flip phones? God phones sucked then. The iPhone spawned the Android phones and real, useful internet through your phone. And apps were a serious development too. Quite a leap we've made.Thought the same thing when I clicked to look at a new post and saw the original one, dating back to 2007. Yeah, I really don't understand how Blackberrys have the marketshare they do. I guess they're good for work since they're boring and not very enjoyable to use.At that point, we basically had the e-mail-only Blackberry and the nokia phone? Flip phones? God phones sucked then. You may want to jailbreak and use Bite SMS instead of the default text messaging client. I realize it's a huge beating that all the problems with the phone apple refuses to fix, but you have to take matters into your own hands sometimes.I-phone 4 noob here. Love It! Seriously life changing tool but I'm still working out the basics.Looked throught he users guide and did not find the answer to this:I receive a text during a voice call, the incoming text tone drowns out the conversation. iPhone 5What's everyone hearing about the release date for the iPhone 5?
I am due for an upgrade for my phone (I have a blackberry now for Verizon), and I want an iPhone, but I don't want to get one in April and have a newer one come out in June/July.
I read somethings that said they don't expect the iPhone 5 to come out until the end of this year. Anyone have any other info or advice on waiting it out vs. upgrading to it right now? What is supposed to be added to the iPhone 5 that the current iPhone doesn't have?
Why would they remove internal storage?iPhone 5What's everyone hearing about the release date for the iPhone 5?

That's pretty unlikely. They are making a huge assumption that everyone has access to the network at all times. Lots of this crap on there is just people making #### up.The next big thing is when Iphone goes LTE. The amount of market share they lose when VZW LTE phones hit the market in volume will be very telling. It will be the 5GS or 6 at the earliest with that level of support. I don't think the 5 will have any huge features that will be worth an upgrade from 4.Why would they remove internal storage?iPhone 5What's everyone hearing about the release date for the iPhone 5?

Yeah, I'm sure that's the main upgrade target. The bulk of the 4s will still be less than a year old in December. How about from 3GS (with iOS4) to 5?That's pretty unlikely. When you sync it should save the book under the "Books" section in iTunes. This way you manage which books you have on your device while keeping your full library on your main computer, like you would for music, movies... etc.So i grabbed a free ibook via my iphone on the ibooks app. Now, how do I save this to my itunes library, or is this not possible for some odd reason?
I sync my music manually though and it said I would lose all my info on my phone or something. I feel like I am blindly missing a step somewhere. When you sync it should save the book under the "Books" section in iTunes. Yeah, it should automatically copy over to your iTunes library then. Just like when you download an app on the iPhone, it copies the app over to the computer.'Leeroy Jenkins said:iBooks.'goonsquad said:Where di you get the book from?'Leeroy Jenkins said:I sync my music manually though and it said I would lose all my info on my phone or something. Figured it out. I had to go to "transfer purchases from iPhone" under the file menu. Unrelated iPod/iTunes question; if I buy music on my work computer, when I go to my home computer and log it, will the music automatically download there as well, or do I have to do an iPod or external hard-drive transfer? Both are "authorized computers"Yeah, it should automatically copy over to your iTunes library then. ) and was a pain to text with. Now that she is in the 21st century, maybe she'll answer her phone now when I call.
How long does your battery last? I am "having" to recharge it every couple of days if I want it to stay higher percentage. I may let it get to 30% but find that odd.I also have some Home button pressing a couple of times every now and than. Also, some apps shut down as well. I figure the apps shutting down might be due to WiFi connection though.I'm starting to have some issues with my iPhone4 that I bought last year. Sometimes it takes me pressing the "home" button 5 or more times to close a screen or to turn on the display etc. It also seems that my battery isn't holding a charge quite as long. I do have Apple Care . . . will they replace the phone or take it from me and try to fix it?
I'm having a similar home button problem too. As soon as I schedule a Genius Bar appointment though, the problem seems to go away so I cancel the appointment only to have it return a week or two later. I guess I should just run with the next appointment regardless. Is there a 1-year warranty on iPhone 4's?I'm starting to have some issues with my iPhone4 that I bought last year. Same issues with some apps as well, but I just assumed those were problems with the app or iOs that would be corrected with updates. Maybe not?It just seems like I am using the phone the same amount as I always have, but throughout the day it's losing more juice than before. I plug mine in almost every night.
