What a ####show... 

verizon let’s me in early... then starts with crazy fees... $30 one time fee... $20 monthly line access fee (I don’t pay this now)... wtf?! 

#### that... jump to Apple (which opens late). They have trouble “contacting carrier”. .. times out 3x. 

#### it... I’ll buy it outright. Jump to buy outright and now it’s showing 2-3 week delivery but nov 3 pickup at Apple store near me. Then I get another “we have reserved an iPhone for you” screen with some reservation number but tells me I’ll get an email and have 24hrs to proceed?

yea i got the $30 fee as well.  i didnt have the access fee.  maybe it thought you were adding another line?  I talked to verizon and they said they couldnt waive the $30 fee.  i bought it then checked apple site which was saying 2-3 weeks.  so #### it.  i guess ill pay the $30.  ill probably complain again later and try to get them to waive it. 

 
Try the apple website or apple app.  i am able to get in with both now.
Got in to Apple app way late but it won't process because mine's on a business account...which I set up and control 100%!!!! Dumb. 

Still in AT&T que too with bigbottom.

My time in queue in the AT&T site finally came up after 25 minutes and when it redirected me to the purchase link, the link failed to load. When I reloaded I was back in the queue again with a new 30 minute wait. Went to Apple website as suggested and have gone through the order process three times only to get an error message on the last page. Fourth time through, a notice came up stating that they are unable to reach my carrier to process the order. They gave me a reservation number to use at a later time when they are able to reach the carrier. Great. Looks like delivery time is now 4-5 weeks. Not sure if my reservation number will lock that in or not. This blows. 

 
I got in through the app and went through the process. Got to the checkout page (after timing out 3 different times) and it said 2-3 weeks for delivery. Went to pay with Apple Pay and it said there was an error. Tried again and delivery time now showed 4-5 weeks. Paid with Apple Pay and it said it was confirmed and I’d receive a confirmation email. Received 2 different confirms with 2 different order numbers and was charged twice. Can’t wait to see how this shakes out. Amazing. 

 
Kept getting crazy errors. My “reservation” showed error when I checked it. Meanwhile date keeps pushing back... but my local store pickup is available nov 3. 

Im in SFO next week. Try SFO stores? No luck. 

#### it, buy it and work it out with store Tomm for late pickup.

Errors about.. then it’s finally in my bag and it’s keeps giving me too many characters error on my secondary phone number (are you ####ting me Apple it’s 2:50am).... turns out I couldn’t use same number in 2nd number.

BOOM!  ordered 256GB Space Grey for nov3 pickup at my Apple store here in Memphis while I’ll be in San Francisco. 

Gotta go to Apple store Tomm and promise manager butt stuff to hold my phone till Monday morning... or get the Ok for a buddy to pick it up. 

With all the errors and whatnot I may wake up Tomm to $10000 on my CC and be the proud new owner of 9 Sweet new iPhone Xs. :lol:

Only Apple could have people setting alarms to wake up In the middle of the night, spend an hour hammering frantically through server errors... to spend $1150 on a cell phone.... 

... so many people that delivery times are skyrocketing to months later ?

Glad I didn't try getting up for this...  really interested in getting one, because I use my phone 90% of every day of my life (it's sad how glued we are) and never mind splurging on these.  

But looks like I'll be waiting a couple months... at least?

 
Woke up this morning and the AT&T website was finally working. Space gray 256 was showing a December delivery date, but silver 256 was showing early November. Went with that. Only problem is that there was no ship to store option so it's being delivered to my house. I sure hope they don't leave this thing on my doorstep.

You can probably call the shipper and request that it be signed for.  package thiefs knowing there will be millons of iphones delivered on the 3rd will be out in full force!

 
Looks like my old office email being my AppleID is going to be a problem with regard to communications.... and it won't let me change to my main yahoo account (because it's the same as my "notifications email" (?)) and won't let me use my gmail email account either. How am I supposed to be able to change my AppleID to a damn email inbox I actually have access to? :lol:  

Good news is I see my order in order history with my pickup date for Nov3 so that's somewhat comforting.

I've always had to sign for the 3 iPhones I've had delivered to my house.  Twice the guy 'knocked' but left and posted a note on my door that they were coming back the following Monday.  Called FedEx support and had the jokers re-reouted to my house again.

 
After trying at launch for 1 1/2 hours for a X and not getting it due to online preorder not working with AT&T Small Business (Apple App, Apple.com, myAT&T App and AT&T Premier), I went to the local AT&T store at 11:00 and ordered a 256 Silver X. 

Expected ship date of 12/4 according to the rep. Not too bad all things considered.

Verizon apparently offering me $200 for my phone to trade in for an X. I have the 6 128gb version. I’m good with mine. 
My offer was $250 for the same phone through the website before it started messing up and I had to go through apple's app. Unfortunately the 6 isn't worth a ton being a 4 generations-old phone.

I was in at 12:01am PST and the system didn't open for me until 12:21am PST. Received the 'could not contact provider' or something like that and told me I had a reservation with a follow up email within 24 hours. Went back in and attempted to order another in case the 'reservation' didn't work. Ended up being able to buy it at 12:38am PST through the app using Apple Pay with shipping date of Dec.5-11. Received 2 confirmation e-mails with different order numbers showing I purchased 2 phones. WTF? Talk about glitches in the system. Both being delivered in that time frame of Dec. 5-11. About an hour ago, I received an e-mail stating I had 24 hours to 'complete my reservation' from my first attempt at buying the phone...that one had a ship date of 2-3 weeks. Put in the reservation number and it says there is no record of that reservation number. Really? Holy #####. Bring back Jobs!

May not be worth much but to use the 128gb as an iPod or something like that. Someone would pay more than that as an updated itouch or something like that, no?

Thanks.  I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be coming down with something on the day it is delivered.  Already feel some sniffles coming on.

 
It says it doesn't support fast charging if that's important to you. 
For the pads I'm less concerned with fast charging.... CONFIRM/CORRECT? 

• I THINK True Qi Fast Charging (~50% in 30m) isn't possible due to inefficiency in the tech but I may be wrong.  
• From what i understand you want to target a 15W Charging block for the Qi pad to make it as quick as possible. 
• I THINK you want a 30+W USBC Charging Block with the right cable (any USBC to lightning? Special one?) for true Fast charging. 

 
does fast charging affect the longevity of the battery?  I know in the past i have heard that cheap chargers could affect how long a batteries capacity lasts.  Not sure if thats the case here though. 

 
So the Mrs set her alarm to get her X, after some struggles (and waking me up :angry:  )she got one reserved on the Apple website. Received a reservation number from Apple and was told once they reach the carrier services she will receive another email and she will have 24hrs to complete the sale. 

She still hasn’t received that email and she’s starting to hyperventilate. Can anyone tell me this is normal so I can tell her to shut it? 

ETA: NEVERMIND ZOMG THE EMAIL WAS SENT AT 1:30 AND SHE DIDNT SEE IT AND HER DELIVERY DATE IS NOVEMBER 17th. :cry: :lmao:

what a mess.  refreshed both apple store app and website constantly and it didn't let me in until 10 minutes after.  Ended up getting a Nov 17-24 delivery date.

While that was going on went to Best Buy and ordered 256gb space grey with a Nov 3 pick up date.  They cost $100 more on Best Buy but the rep assured me they will price match it down to apple.  We'll see.

FU Apple for this mess.

Yes, just one size. The phone is in between the standard and plus versions in terms of size, but the screen is bigger than the plus. Pretty much perfect in my opinion.  That notch though.  Hope I can get used to that.

that was the main reason i bought this one.  I like that its a little smaller than the plus.  i think once the apps all optimize for the notch we will not notice it much.  i hope.  :shrug:

It’s convenient how all your phones broke like this past week. Everyone suddenly starts having trouble with their old iPhones the week the new one comes out. I imagine you guys looking left, looking right, and then dropping your phone on the concrete.  Repeatedly.
