Agreed 100%.  Was awesome to start...then totally jumped the shark and fast.   Great opening song too.  🙂
Wow.  Completely disagree.  Thought this show was amazing from start to finish.  It was so sad and emotional.  The ending, with them in the building was a tearjerker, for sure.

I will say, that even though I loved this  show, I'd never go back and rewatch it.  It's one of those shows that was just too emotionally draining to watch again.

It's definitely worth a watch for anyone that hasn't seen it.

Been rewatching the Sopranos over the last few weeks.  Wow what a show.  I saw it during its original TV run (I was in high school when it started) and I loved it then but hadn't ever rewatched it until now.  I remember liking and disliking certain characters, but now I see them much differently.

Still think The Wire is probably the best drama ever but this is solidifying Sopranos as #2 for me.  Breaking Bad was great but Sopranos paved the way, I can't put WW over Tony personally.

I put BB over Sopranos simply because BB never had any lulls or spots where it ever dragged.  It escalated and escalated and escalated all the way to the finale.  As close to a perfect TV show we've ever had.

Sopranos had a few moments that kind of dragged on a bit.

Overall I agree with you, but BB did have some lulls in S02 and S03.

While watching BB in real time, I didn't think there was any lull.  But when I watched it a second time to get my wife caught up, I would agree that upon second viewing, some episodes seemed slow.  But my wife, who only watched it once, disagrees.  So maybe it has to do with BB not being a great rewatch?

Which were these?

Sopranos had downright god awful episodes like the one where Tony visits his dad's goomah or the one where Christopher and Ade meet the rapper.

BB did not have any awful episodes, IMO.

Well, putting aside the Fly episode, stuff that focused on Marie's kleptomania, or Jesse's family history, or Hank's hospital recovery, or Jesse's rehab.

The easy answer here is The Expanse but since no one here is willing to watch that damn near perfect show I guess I'll consider the rest.

GoT had this thing on lock through 6 seasons but then screwed it up so badly it probably can't even be in the conversation anymore.

If we consider each season of True Detective as a show of its own since they're all unrelated then season 1 of True Detective is tough to beat.

Dexter through 4 seasons would have been in the discussion but screwed it up just as badly as GoT but for even longer.

I think that leaves Breaking Bad as the default answer for me even though I liked it a little less than all of the above in the beginning/middle, it's the only one that didn't completely fall apart towards the end.

Rewatching The Wire for the third time and it’s definitively the best for me. Its amazing how it’s better with each viewing.

I've been interested in starting this.  Did it have an ending to wrap everything up or did it get canceled without one?
Season 1 started slow to establish situation and characters, then picked up real good in the latter half. Season 2 was knock-you-out-of-your-chair good. Season 3 was better.  Just watch.

This won't give anything away, so (to me) the best scene in the series was Kevin Garvey singing Homeward Bound.

I’m still one of the weird ones (or maybe the only one?) that thought season one was the best.
