Then why not say "he's in the 8-10 range" instead of saying top 10 like there is little difference between #1 and #10?

Probably the term I hate most is "talented" when someone is describing a football player who is strong as a horse and fast as the wind and can jump over a house but is lousy at playing football. No, that's not talent. That's athleticism. And why people (including NFL personnel professionals) continue to be duped by raw athleticism is beyond me. Talent should be defined as level of demonstrated ability for the tasks to be performed, whatever that job is, not raw athletic ability. If you are truly a talented wide receiver, for example, that should mean you actually can catch balls thrown to you and run good routes and get open. It shouldn't mean you run a 4.4 40.

If you're confident starting anyone then you're a fool. It's fantasy football, anything that can go wrong generally does go wrong.

"Going forward" is the phrase I immediately thought of when I saw the thread title.In the countless threads where I see "How to you think ____ will do going forward?" I always reflexively want to post, "Better than he will do if he's going backward"I know it's barely junior high quality humor, but I can't help myself.Another annoying quibble, while not explicitly a term, is the "discussions" that clearly involve massive wishful thinking on the part of owners of a given player. This week's favorite is any poster(s) claiming that Maurice Morris is just as talented as Kevin Smith. After Sunday at 4 pm.
