The Official Kicker (K) Thread (1 Viewer)

Do yall like Folk or Maher over Dicker?
Maher still worries me. He’s had a nice start, but I don’t think the Rams will be that competitive, and I don’t trust that he won’t fall to pieces again.

In all of my leagues with kickers MFG is -2 and MPAT is -3

He scored -12 for me in that game. I have trust issues.
Def gonna roll with Dicker this week but I’m eyeing Folk for ROS. Titans look like a team who can move the ball into FG range but fall short of scoring TDs.

I believe Brandon Aubrey has the highest ceiling among Ks & I really don’t think it’s particularly close. Fantastic FF situation, as well.

I guess his lack of experience can be viewed as a negative (started late), but that swing… I was shocked how little leg he had to use on that 55-yarder. If anyone can hit a 65,70 yard FG, it’s Aubrey.

I am getting bent over on kickers this year. Last week started Myers who missed his first 2 FGs so I dropped him for McManus who missed his first 2 FGs this week. Myers kicked 5 FGs this week.....

Also getting bent over this year had Mcpherson who had two crappy weeks, dropped for Joseph, cost me the win not sure if should see if can get him back - Burrow still doesn't look too good - or go for someone like Sanders

Historically I think some of the best kickers have a strong leg yet are consistent and come from teams with good defenses and Offenses that move the ball well but tend to bog down inside the 20. Its why Tucker has been so good for so long.

Any thoughts on Gano or J. Feeley?

Holding onto R. Rice until tmrw night. Hoping I don't need to drop him for a kicker, but if I do I figure I can grab one of these two for the Monday night game.

Both teams should be able to move the ball. Weather looks great. Both were outstanding last year while Feeley missed a couple early this year.

J. Tucker is also out there, but I'd have to ditch Rice at 1 PM EST. I'm also starting L. Jackson and don't love the idea of doubling up with BALT here on the road against a nasty CLE D.

There’s nobody else besides rice to cut on your roster for tucker? How about your current kicker?

Jay "touchy" Feeley? Didn't he retire years ago?

Ha. I drop my kicker every week for waiver purposes.

I could drop K. Herbert. Loathe to do that. Could see CHI offense coming to life this week. Could be used as trade bait if he pops.

Also have T. Spears but feel like he's a hold.

Nailed 5 FGs last week.

Seahawks/Giants could be sneaky high scoring.

So we’re all just guessing on K right? I’ve been playing 25 years and it’s still a mystery.

Most FGA (FGM):
  1. Rams 16 (12)
  2. Eagles 14 (13)
  3. Cowboys 13 (13)
  4. Seahawks 13 (9)
  5. Texans 12 (11)
Most FGA Allowed (FGM Allowed):
  1. Commanders 16 (16)
  2. Jets 15 (13)
  3. Rams 12 (9)
  4. Saints 11 (11)
  5. Bengals 11 (10)
  6. Pats 11 (9)
  7. Colts 11 (7)
  8. Ravens 10 (10)
  9. Packers 10 (9)
  10. Steelers 10 (9)
  11. Giants 10 (8)
  12. Bears 10 (8)
  13. Lions 10 (7)
  14. Seahawks 10 (7)
  15. Titans 9 (9)
I ran the numbers in the off-season and historically the defense your K is facing (FGA Allowed) is slightly more sticky than FGA.

But it’s all a crapshoot IMO. Easy to see why so many leagues have eliminated K from FF.

Moody ebbed last week after flowing for three. Probably stick with him. Folk, Fairbairn, McManus & Meyers on the WW.

I would study which coaches are most likely to settle for field goals instead of guys that go for it a lot of the time. The Dallas HC seems to fit this profile.

I'm in a league where kickers aren't required, but you can play them, as much as 2 of them. I wouldn't play two unless I was really crippled at other positions because of injury, but I do carry Justin Tucker and Jake Moody. Only one other team is carrying one (Elliott). I have been starting a kicker even though I don't have to. Moody has been getting me 12 to 14 points weekly.

If fantasy football is basically just about numbers why wouldn't u start a kicker if you could? It's like a super super flex that includes kickers or something?

Kickers in general are nearly impossible to predict. I used to simply always just make sure I have one on a great offense. Now I primarily look at the guys who can hit from 50 plus even on bad offenses.

I have a few leagues I wish I could play a kicker instead of a crappy RB option

That info would be very useful. Miami goes for it on many short yardage situations instead of FGs.

The Texan PK ka'imi was great last year, 29-31, 6-6 from 50+, perfect on XP. With Stroud at QB, playing at ATL, he's a top PK this week. Does the OC use analytics?

I picked up Fairbairn this week to replace Dicker on bye. Dude's had 3 FG attempts each game this year and has only missed 1. A lot to like about him with that Texans O.

Interesting note that I just realized is that all of his FGs made have been under 40 yards

6-6 from 50+ last year. 24-35 for his career. Are they going for it instead of a long FG with Stroud?

And his only miss was from 51

I have Brandon Aubrey rated as my top dynasty K. Moody is next, probably in the same tier, but I have Aubrey clearly ahead.

I think Moody is safer, but Aubrey’s leg strength gives him the nod for me. It also doesn’t hurt that the 9ers have a more efficient offense (less stalling in RZ opps) so a ding for Moody right now, but dynamics come & go.

Who you guys got as your top dynasty Ks?

I never thought i would say these words but you know who has cost me two game so far...Justin Tucker. The one time i actually draft a kicker

Is Moody ever going to attempt another FG? Nothing but XP's for 2 weeks now.
That's what's great about kickers. They can be perfect and still not help your team through no fault of their own.

That said I'm sticking with him because I know that when he gets the chances he will get me points.

Moody is 9 of 9 on FG tries with a long of 57 yards.

This was the problem with Jake Elliott last year. Eagles offense too efficient in the red zone, scoring touchdowns instead of field goals and going for it on 4th down a lot. 21st among kickers in fantasy points in my league last year. 1st among kickers this year. Go figure!

Anyone noticing the demise of J. Tucker?

Maybe not the demise, but lack of performance.

He's been on my wire for two weeks. Don't think I've seen that in a decade.

Thinking this could be the week he finally shows up.
