This new policy is going to lead to a huge uptick in positive cases starting next week and into the playoffs. Just as long as they keep testing on sunday evenings then everyone will be back the next week. Woohooo
Exactly.

They need to allow vaccinated asymptomatic players to play. There is zero evidence they pass the virus on the playing field.
so there’s evidence that the virus is passed by people that come in close contact, but that somehow doesn’t apply to your magic football team? They need to allow vaccinated asymptomatic players to play. There is zero evidence they pass the virus on the playing field.

Well duh, Covid stops to watch the games.Tons of cases of teams passing it within themselves. None passing it from team to team within a game. Pro, college, or high school. Prove me wrong. NFL agrees with me obviously.
This is about $$$$$$$Tons of cases of teams passing it within themselves. None passing it from team to team within a game. Pro, college, or high school. Prove me wrong. NFL agrees with me obviously.
If Ljax isn't practicing I sure hope Huntley does..Anybody we can anticipate will likely come off the COVID list before Sunday?
Sounds like Texans expect Brandin Cooks back and Saints think Taysom Hill will be available.
Carson Wentz is unvaccinated; anyone know if his was a positive test or exposure?
Why aren't we all just wearing football pads then? You may have just unknowingly solved this pandemic!Tons of cases of teams passing it within themselves. None passing it from team to team within a game. Pro, college, or high school. Prove me wrong. NFL agrees with me obviously.

Uh huh. Sure.Well duh, Covid stops to watch the games.
Also, the Browns had to play with 20 men down last week because, well, obviously Covid isnt spread during games.
Guessing you probably wont hear too much of guys spreading within games because players who knowingly have Covid arent playing in the games.....
Yikes
Oh man you are funny. Hahaha. Prove me wrong. One case, one example. You know, some scientific evidence? Why aren't we all just wearing football pads then? You may have just unknowingly solved this pandemic!
You sound really bright. Hold on, I'll check game film. Perhaps I'll see the virus leave a players mouth and enter another guy's. D'ohOh man you are funny. Hahaha. Prove me wrong. One case, one example. You know, some scientific evidence?
They should also allow defensive players to use swords to stop running backs. Give me one case, one example, to show that would be dangerous.Oh man you are funny. Hahaha. Prove me wrong. One case, one example. You know, some scientific evidence?
You are really bad at analogiesThey should also allow defensive players to use swords to stop running backs. Give me one case, one example, to show that would be dangerous.
How's this one? No one has ever gotten covid at a Starbucks. Prove me wrongYou are really bad at analogies

I guess you are right. A guy with Covid grunting all over other people probably doesnt spread any germs whatsoever.Uh huh. Sure.
Now how about the ones that played and didn’t know they had Covid?
If you're ever standing by someone in the checkout line and they're sniffling and coughing and you suspect they might have covid, just tackle them. It can't transfer that way.I guess you are right. A guy with Covid grunting all over other people probably doesnt spread any germs whatsoever.
Yikes.
You do realize (well no you must not, obviously) that there is an incubation period, and it's basically impossible to pinpoint the exact moment someone got Covid. However certain interactions are more likely to allow Covid to spread. Which interactions?? Perhaps grabbing, tackling, breathing, and grunting all over each other. All of which with no hand hygiene or masks.
Let's just have everyone play football every day and end this pandemic.

Thanks I am. Bright enough to know what “asymptomatic and vaccinated” means. Bright enough to be on the same side as the NFL AND NFLPA, coincidently. So we will just be over here being right, and you can stay over there with your buddies being condescending and wrong. If you're ever standing by someone in the checkout line and they're sniffling and coughing and you suspect they might have covid, just tackle them. It can't transfer that way.
Of course they do. But if they are vaccinated and asymptomatic it doesn’t, and hasn’t, mattered. Which was my point all along and now the both the NFL and their PA agree with me, regardless of their motivations.I guess you are right. A guy with Covid grunting all over other people probably doesnt spread any germs whatsoever.

You are stating this as a fact; it is not.Of course they do. But if they are vaccinated and asymptomatic it doesn’t, and hasn’t, mattered. Which was my point all along and now the both the NFL and their PA agree with me, regardless of their motivations.

There have been no empirical studies that have proven that COVID is transferred on the playing field. To my knowledge, there are also no empirical studies that have proven that COVID is not transferred on the playing field. The only studies I have read have suggested that on-field interactions shouldn't be long enough to spread the disease. However, since these studies were conducted with more rigorous testing & quarantine procedures that are currently in place, that changes things. If players who are positive aren't allowed to play, a study of players who tested negative playing football, and not infecting each other, isn't very illustrative.
You MAY be right, but acting like you ABSOLUTELY are, while others who disagree with you are ABSOLUTELY wrong, is an error on your part.
Also, let's not pretend that the NFL and the PA are making the changes that they are making for any reason other than money. The NFL doesn't want to postpone/cancel games and lose revenue, and the PA doesn't want games cancelled b/c those players won't get paid.
This doesn't help at all. It was dropped a long time ago yet you brought it up again.@facook, how about you drop it? You're crapping up a helpful thread.

Leaning Hill ATM. Started Tua last week when Taysom and then Tyler were out on the R/C list. Like Fields matchup but probably a bad idea, eh.Taysom Hill is back under the new rules. So him or Ravens Huntley this weekend?
and by extension maybe ARod & Adams?Cousins on the list and is OUT.
Oh boy.
Huge ramifications to MN offense. Cook and Jefferson. Ugh.
and by extension maybe ARod & Adams?
probably won’t need to be as aggressive, low scoring, & with the low temps…

Mixed feelings - opponent has Rodgers, I have Adams.I hope so, I'm against them both.![]()
Don't you think the game will be more about the run game in the cold and no Cousins?Mixed feelings - opponent has Rodgers, I have Adams.
Purely from projections, he has solid advantages at QB & TE (Kelce), I have a stronger team at WR-WR-WR, RB-RB, Flex, K, DST - the biggest spread is at WR (Adams-Lamb-Cooks) and DST (NE.)
Interestingly, he has 9 starters going at 1pm, and then only AR on SNF after that.
My team has 2 @ 1pm, 3 @ 4:05, 3 @ 4:25, Adams SNF and Najee MNF.
yeah should be a Dillon game - as I said, low scoring. with more runs they’ll run less plays. Vikings likely won’t be able to keep up.Don't you think the game will be more about the run game in the cold and no Cousins?
Doesn't feel like a typical GB game to me.
Thoughts then on how effective MVS will be tomorrow evening?yeah should be a Dillon game - as I said, low scoring. with more runs they’ll run less plays. Vikings likely won’t be able to keep up.
then again, Rodgers loves to just destroy an opponents will by boat racing them early. tremendous front runner (& relatively few comebacks.)
I’ve been looking at a lot of 10 degrees and below box scores. surprised at how effective passing games still were in nearly all of them. it’s gonna be dry with virtually no wind.
it’s not insane to think he’ll have say 250 & 2 TDs, and if so, Davante will probably get his.
anyway, nothing to be done about it either way. gotta dance with the one who brought ya.
