This is a good time to drop Gloria's line from White Men Can't Jump:

Sometimes when you win, you really lose and sometimes when you lose, you really win... NY, loser

I'm from the land of Five Guys, Carl's Jr., In N Out, Steak and Shake, Jack in the Box, Sonic, etc.

Grew up on the east coast where we just had the ####ty McDonald's, Wendy's, BK, and Roy Rogers.

Luckily for us northeasterners, this isn't 1990 anymore.

To my credit, that's about when I lived there and ate a lot of fast food.

I really just wanted to drop the Roy Rogers quip.

Roy Rogers will always be waiting for you on the Pennsylvania turnpike

They don't have either here but I have been to both and even though they're supposed to be the same i definitely prefer Carl's Jr to Hardees. No idea why

Hardees Land though the closest to me is 17.3 miles. I also learned there is something called a Hardees Red Burrito which is I guess is a Mexican version?

I live in Carl's Jr land but have never eaten there. Forced to choose I would go Carl's Jr over Hardee's. In full disclosure I grew up in Hardee's country and one of my first jobs was cooking at one.

### #### it...I haven't had fast food in over a year and now I'm going to need to blindfold myself as I drive past Carls Jr. today.

Does Hardee's still let you pump all the free fry sauce you want?
Never-mind.

A new management team in the early 1980s seeking to cut costs immediately changed the signature burger recipe, introducing frozen burger patties, and eliminating altogether the flagship menu items of the Big Twin and the Big Deluxe that had sustained Hardee's meteoric rise. The charco-broiling process was ordered discontinued at all Hardee's locations despite strong resistance from franchisees throughout the '80s and into the '90s and declining sales from the elimination of the charbroiled burgers.
I no longer recognize Hardee's as the place I once frequently visited in my youth after many acid trips at 3am.

Hardee's was the only fast food place in my very small home town. They got really bad sometime in the mid 90s.

I haven't been to a hardee's in a long time

but i really support their use of Emily Ratajawski and Kate Upton, and Charlotte McKinney in ads.

Carl's Jr is pretty great as far as fast food goes. Completely unhealthy, but fairly delicious.

CKE restaurants (parent company) acquired Hardee's in 1997. They share some, but not all, menu items.

Hardees is terrible

Carls Jr is decent
Most, yes. I have no idea why but the Hardee's in Tecumseh, KS (right off I-70) used to make the best mushroom swiss burger. I would stop by there once a month or so on the way home from Law school on Fridays. Every other Hardee's is horrible.

Yeah, western bacon cheeseburger is like heroin, except not as good for you.

A Carl's Jr Famous Star is still my favorite fast food burger. Yes, I like it better than In'N'Out (though that is good, too).

Growing up in Minnesota Hardee's was awesome for it's chicken fillets and hot ham and cheese sandwiches. Now in Carl's Jr land and it's nothing great.

brohans it looks like olkahoma will be ground zero when the carl junior hardees civil war starts which is frankly just one more reason not to go to oklahoma take that to the bank

Hardee's, but there really aren't any in my immediate area. Did actually stop off at one on Monday on my way back from Cincy. Had the Frisco burger. Pretty good.
