The Tea Party is back in business! (2 Viewers)

Its got to be some sort of record for a 30+ thread to have more posts from one guy than everyone else in the thread combined. This is like the Madden Franchise threads by that Raiders94 guy.
How can you see how many posts people have in a thread?

Yesterday I was called a POS for implying that most independents, moderates, and Democrats believe that the Tea Party is both crazy and extremist. From Buzz Feed:

http://www.buzzfeed.com/mckaycoppins/where-ted-cruz-is-coming-from

From its genesis in 2009, the Tea Party movement has been fueled by the rhetoric of revolution. True believers attend rallies unironically dressed in colonial garb. Their early organizers preached earnestly from Saul Alinsky’s left-wing activist handbook Rules For Radicals — a book that advises just the sort of procedural disruption they’ve imposed this week. And while Nevada Senate candidate Sharon Angle outraged mainstream political observers when she suggested people may start looking for “Second Amendment remedies” to the country’s problems, one recent survey showed that nearly half of Republicans believe armed insurrection might be necessary “in the next few years.”

These are the people that are holding the Republican leadership in fear, and whom Obama and the Democrats are supposed to work with.
I think it's funny too. But it's also a little unnerving. 44% of Republicans believe that armed insurrection may be necessary. What the #### has happened to the GOP?

They sold out their base to a bunch of liberals and made true conservatives feel they had no representation whatsoever in the current government. But the glitch is being corrected.

 Where have I said anything about black helicopters. It was a pretty simple question regarding the founding of our nation. It's cool that you're okay with the power grabs and increased surveillance by the US government over the last decade or two.... But some people are not cool with it. Your attempts to trivialize their opinions of government is a bit juvenile.

I'm certainly not going to be joining any insurrection, and I certainly hope it never comes to that. I don't believe the government is some secret society dragging us into some new world order, but I do believe our government has gotten too big and is a bit too intrusive for my liking. If, god forbid, the #### hits the fan and there is some uprising, I won't be getting involved, but I am glad I will have the means to protect myself and my family.

But please, continue posting talking points from liberal rags 50 times a day in here while posting snide petty crap while pretending you're you're not part of the problem. It's cool.

More or less. They throw out ideas, but I get to use my own language- it looks more genuine that way.

Well first off, regarding the bolded, you don't. You may be able to use your guns to defend yourself against a robber (though statistics suggest this is doubtful) but you will never be able to fend off the government with it, and it's one of the more delusional aspects of NRA supporters that they actually think they can.

Second, let's backtrack. I have written here that the Tea Party is crazy and paranoid. To back it up, I quoted an article that linked to a poll which suggested that 44% of Republicans believe an armed insurrection may be necessary. (For the record, that poll was not from some "liberal mag"; it was taken from the Washington Times, a strongly conservative newspaper.) Your only response was to laugh. Now you accuse me of snide remarks, which is really quite ironic.

You have, in this thread, offered your opinion that the shutdown entertains you and you find it amusing, ignoring all the people being hurt by it. You have taken the time to repeat Breitbart propaganda, and you have demonstrated incredible ignorance again and again by suggesting that either the Dems are to blame for this or that both sides are to blame equally. That's a pretty sad record, IMO.

I will never trivialize people who have reasonable concerns regarding the size of government. But I will always trivialize those who try to turn those reasonable concerns into unreasonable fear of tyranny. Those people (mostly Tea Partiers or those sympathetic to them) deserve to be trivialized. They are dangerous to our society and the continuation of our system of government. This current crisis demonstrates that, though it should have been evident all along to anyone paying attention.

It's shtick, genius. The thing I'm entertained by is you guys wringing your hands and freaking out.

Those people (mostly Tea Partiers ... are dangerous to our society and the continuation of our system of government.

Tim, it's much better for you if you ignore icon here. He's just channeling LHUCKS and apparently enjoying it. No need to feed him.
But that puts his 1000 posts in the thread in danger. He's basically screwed, like the US economy/government.

At this point I'm hoping this goes on for another week or so. It's really doing a decent job of keeping the politards on both sides busy with the hand wringing in here. The rest of the FFA has been pretty enjoyable.

1000 may not be enough.
Depends on what you're looking to accomplish. If you want the most posts in a thread record you've got the GM behemoth to contend with. You're going to need something that has more staying power, or you're going to need to merge all of your sky is falling threads into one.

I wish I had 1,000 posts in this thread. I'm working on it.

I wouldn't give a #### except that it seems to annoy some of you so much. I would find that fact amusing, except it's so ####### boring. Put me on ignore; then you'll never have to read my posts.
Dude, get a hobby. Or something.

Its got to be some sort of record for a 30+ thread to have more posts from one guy than everyone else in the thread combined. This is like the Madden Franchise threads by that Raiders94 guy.
I haven't followed this thread in a long while and I was just coming in here to mention this very thing. 5x as many posts as the next guy with 15% of the overall posts? No wonder my ISP bill keeps going up every year.

Damn, the Republicans in Congress are looking foolish and crazy. Gotta find a distraction. I know! Let's talk about how many posts tim made!!

If, god forbid, the #### hits the fan and there is some uprising, I won't be getting involved, but I am glad I will have the means to protect myself and my family.
I'm curious how big your arsenal is that makes you feel secure. If there's an insurrection, you've gotta figure the rebels would demand shelter and supplies by force. How many armed rebels do you think you could fend off?

Republicans are always blamed for everything in the liberal media whether they deserve it or not (in this case they do). This is no different. The only thing Republicans get credit for are when they cave to the Liberal agenda viewpoint. Been this way for a while.

Tim, it's much better for you if you ignore icon here. He's just channeling LHUCKS and apparently enjoying it. No need to feed him.
But that puts his 1000 posts in the thread in danger. He's basically screwed, like the US economy/government.
Nah, there's still plenty of idiocy to respond to.

You're sticking around, right?
I fear that none of us will be if this whole thing goes on much longer. :(

I'm glad you admit the bolded. I disagree with you about the "liberal media", but it doesn't matter. I think the facts support blaming the Republicans in this instance. It doesn't mean that conservatives are necessarily wrong in their viewpoints about Obamacare, or on spending in general. It only means their tactics are awful.

There is going to be a vote today to decide if furloughed workers will receive back pay. It is expected to pass. So basically, this is a paid vacation for Federal workers. Even if they don't have money in savings, buying necessities with a credit card would allow someone to manage through this shutdown.

Just another benefit of a government job.
You want people to go into credit card debt because their politicians are sore losers? #### you.
Slapdash, you're either joking, or stupid. How would they go into debt? They would only use the credit card as a short term loan until they are given back pay. Then they would payoff the balance Plus they would earn points for a free flight the next time the gov't shuts down.
You're the one complaining about them getting backpay
OK, stupid it is. Point out where I complained that they are getting back pay?

Just pointed it out from day one, that furloughed workers weren't losing anything. As far as someone not having a credit card, I would bet if a person has chosen to live without credit cards, they are also smart enough to have a savings. If they haven't, then why should I have any sympathy for them not being more prepared? Not like this is the only time the gov't has shut down.

HFS. They had you pegged, good job confirming it.

Only awful when the Republicans do it I guess?

Yucca Mountain

The Screw Nevada Law has been the law of the land since 1987 when Louisiana Sen. J. Bennett Johnston rammed through a bill making Yucca Mountain the sole repository of spent nuclear fuel rods. It was passed by the House and Senate, signed by President Reagan, upheld by the courts and never repealed. Yet, the Yucca Mountain hole in the ground sits idle, defunded by Harry Reid and his Barack Obama.

Tim's post ceiling has been exceeded by unsubstainable levels. I say we need to initiate a Tim shutdown, even by armed insurrection if neccessary. The sheer quanity of Tim's posting is slowing down the entire internet. We can not continue to pass this unbearable burdon on to future generations. Do it for the children.

If we reduce his spending posting limits to 1 post per day, there may be hope.

I agree with Tim. You have nothing left, you are down to attacking how many posts he has made

Fixed.

Wow, the KooKs really have nothing to say about trying to destroy the American economy.

They really hate our Soul Brother President.

“I think we need to have that moment where we realize [we’re] going broke,” Yoho said. If the debt ceiling isn’t raised, that will sure as heck be a moment. “I think, personally, it would bring stability to the world markets,” since they would be assured that the United States had moved decisively to curb its debt.
