The Top 300 Greatest TV Shows of All Time: FBG Consensus: 50 Lists received. 2: Seinfeld 1: Breaking Bad (17 Viewers)

The Bugs Bunny Show is the correct one I think

This is what I put it as, but, I know it was also released for a time as "The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show", so I parenthetically added "the looney tunes syndicated anthology".

It's the old cartoons but every three/four years they re-packaged them under a different title to resell them.

I got a few looney tunes (toons) and a few bugs bunny shows submitted. If these are the same, please let me know. I only remember watching looney toons as a kid.
I’d be in favor of combining them unless some purists want to keep them separate

I think it makes sense to combine

So... I'm rewatching Black Summer now while nominally cleaning the kitchen and I noticed something cool. Have you ever watched a show with subtitles on, and it totally gives something critical away, like a character you know as Damon speaks off screen, and the captions identify who's speaking as [Satan]? I'm happy to say that the captions on Black Summer identify the main character as [Woman] through at least episode 3 because nobody on the show knows her name yet.

I also like that they just never translate anything the Korean lady says. We can sort of figure it out, just like the people on the show can sort of figure it out.

I've encountered that a few times, but I can't think of a specific example now. It was similar to how you described - it attached the character name to an offscreen moment that ruined something.

Black Summer is yet another I liked, watched a couple episodes but never got back too. I am terrible about that. I think for me I have been burned by endings of shows a few too many times, and I am unsure about getting committed to a show. I feel most shows have 3-4 seasons worth of great ideas, and after that they start to spin lose their quality. I'm talking drama/horror/action here, comedy has a longer shelf life.

Yeah, Walking Dead might have been my 10th show if it had been cancelled after 2 seasons. Getting cancelled before you spin out into job preservation mode can be a feature.

There is a scene that I am pretty sure is in Ep.1 that still haunts me. Isn't there a scene where his wife is hovering around the front door? I just thought the idea of the zombies having a "memory" of sorts was freaky. I went from that to rolling my eyes pretty quickly. Perfect example.

Agreed - there were a lot of iterations but mainly they all just played the original cartoons.

This iteration was the big one when I was a kid.

When only 32 of my shows made the list I was like "ok yeah" but now that we've moved to 300 and 28 didn't make it I'm interested in which ones those are. Prob a bunch of those fx/hulu shows that most of you have never seen

Given that half of everything is trying to kill you in Australia, I agree with you that the stakes are higher

0 by Spider. Hasnt been a fatality since 1979
2 people per year by Snake

Horses, Dogs and Cows are 13 per year
Kangaroos are two per year through car accidents predominantly
fish, sheep, goats, camels, cats and jellyfish are 4 per year

the us also has 300 million more people here so death numbers are likely going to be higher anyways

Yes but the way its reported is as soon as you step off a plane the sharks and the crocodiles are fighting with the snakes and spiders to make you a corpse.
Yet no one talks about the drop bear attacks that cause untold carnage every year

#300 - Keeping Up with the Kardassians

Genre: Reality
Score: 87
Average Rank: 56.7

A peek inside the exploits and privileged private lives of the blended Kardashian-Jenner family, including sisters Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, Kendall and Kylie.

Lists/Rank
Scoresman 1
KarmaPolice 26
John Maddens Lunchbox 45

Score is the total number of points the show scored.
Average Rank (not score) is the average rank of the show on all lists that included it.
Lists/Rank is the list of those of you who had the show ranked and at what spot.
Interesting start. So is this your #1 show or your #70? Also. How do you get to 87 points with ranks of 1, 26, and 45? Same for average. Just making sure I understand the secret sauce.

This is not really the # 300 show. It's just a fake example to explain the formatting. But I'll admit I chose that show to see if anyone freaked out over it. :lmao:

Rank is where you placed the show on your list. Score is the number of points it scored for the tabulation. So my # 1 ranked show would score 70 points.
The joke is you spelled Kardashians wrong after telling everyone to make sure there entries are formatted correctly
Did he really spell it "wrong" or did you miss a pun?

my money is on the swan
So I just did some super scientific research and it seems I'd easily have the upper hand on a swan. I am actually disappointed at how little a challenge they actually posted in the videos I watched. Not sure why I thought more of their attacking capabilities but I've believed for years that an aggressive swan would be dangerous. I'm little disappointed if I'm being honest.

Honorable Mentions!

I probably should have had The Mole on my list because those first two seasons on ABC were brilliant. The celebrity seasons and the revival on Netflix are OK but don't have the same magic.

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was a last-minute cut from my list (it was my first draft's #70) after the 45-51s revealed some things that I had missed. For about 2 years early in our marriage, my wife and I watched it regularly before bed, and it was the most deeply weird thing I'd seen on network TV since Late Night with David Letterman in the '80s. Like LNWDL, they would try anything because people staying up that late were more likely to be fascinated by it than repulsed.

Instead of the top 25, let's finish the honorable mentions with everyone's top ranked show that did not make the top 300. There will obviously be overlap with the previous top 5 list.

Tables arent posting properly so this may look a bit janky.

You didn't give the official title for Mr Show, so poor Scoresman couldn't correlate it with all the rest of us who gave the imdb sanctioned title.

21 Person of Interest Jayrod
Not surprised as this show was a little corny and formulaic. It was high on my list because my wife and I watched it all the way through together and I have a thing for Sarah Shahi.
I blew it, it should have been on my list. It was way less corny and formulaic than most things on network TV. It was excellent to begin with and got even better when Shahi and Amy Acker joined the cast.

My thoughts on some of these shows are in bold in the quoted passage.
You didn't give the official title for Mr Show, so poor Scoresman couldn't correlate it with all the rest of us who gave the imdb sanctioned title.
Yeah, hopefully he'll fix it. I forgot that it has that long-arse official title that no one actually uses.

It’s fixed. Also looney toons and bugs bunny show is getting combined.

I fixed all the ones I could, and that process is by far the most laborious of all this, but with 900 shows submitted, there are many I don’t even know to have the knowledge to fix. Just need to do it as we go along.

Format for posting once we get to individual reveals will be like this.

I got the pun, but thought it an ideal opportunity to point out the misspelling as well.

It was an intentional pun, but not one I expect everyone to get.

I also like the pun because it fits into the conspiracy theory that the Kardashians are lizard people from another galaxy.
