YES! My top didn't make it actually made it? Sweet!

@Scoresman , do you think you could post the revised also ran list in your first or second post so we don't have to search for it?

eta: I thought you had fixed it but I found the prior post and Disney is still listed as my top that didn't make it. Did you post the revised list?

Also, any interest in also providing the points earned by each show? I think that would be interesting to discuss.

Havent posted a revised list. It's a manual process which is why there were mistakes.

294NCIS
300Mork & Mindy

I had both of these on my list.
  • Mork & Mindy (#27): Probably my favorite silly show. It was really just a vehicle for Robin Williams to do Robin Williams things and it was glorious. Add in Johnathan Winters as his reverse aging kid and it was even better. Those two together were amazing. A spinoff from Happy Days there weren't high expectations but Robin Williams was amazing.
  • NCIS (#38): I enjoy these type shows. Sue me. They are corny and formulaic but for mindless TV with some chuckles and minor who dunit's it was/is pretty solid. Its still going on its 22nd season. From pure longevity it deserves a spot.

I never watched enough of either of these shows to include them. I wish I'd watched more of Mork and Mindy. Loved RW.

and lasted 15 seasons
I probably eliminated a lot of shows from my list BECAUSE they lasted 10 or 15 or 20 seasons instead of keeping it at a tight 5 or 6. I'm looking at you, Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy (ok, only 7 seasons but should have been 3) and pretty much every American sitcom ever created.

I bailed on Billions about an episode or two into season two. It could/should have been better. Just Shoot Me was fun but never really entered the conversation for Top 70 for me. Mork and Mindy would have only made it on nostalgia but I did love it growing up. I haven't seen the rest except for the sporadic NCIS: Des Moines episode my g/f will have on sometimes.

I have Just Shoot Me at #47 and NCIS at #51.

Just Shoot Me doesn't get as much attention as some of its compatriots from the golden age of NBC sitcoms, but it had an incredible cast -- Laura San Giacomo, George Segal, Wendie Malick, Enrico Colantoni and David Spade -- and excellent writing. The father-and-daughter-as-coworkers dynamic between Segal and San Giacomo was done particularly well. Malick's and Spade's characters were hilariously over the top but not in an annoying way.

I don't watch NCIS anymore since almost all of the original cast is gone, but my wife still does. I enjoy well-done procedurals when I just want to let my brain flow along with the plot, and I really liked the characterization in the first 10 to 15 seasons. The way it was written and acted, I felt like I just wanted to hang out with those people.

I saw quite a bit of Mork & Mindy and the original Magnum, P.I. as a child. I remember them fondly but they didn't make the cut. The introduction of Jonathan Winters' character was M&Ms jump-the-shark moment; I don't think it worked at all.

Billions sucked after season 3….suuuuucked.

I Think You Should Leave
I forgot about this one but I’m not sure if a show ever made me laugh harder.
Never heard of it. Sit com?
It’s a sketch comedy show featuring Tim Robinson - but not the typical sketch comedy. Very odd but hysterical.
My daughter and her husband love this show. I couldn't get into it. It reminds me very much of Tom Green but scripted.

The introduction of Jonathan Winters' character was M&Ms jump-the-shark moment; I don't think it worked at all.
For the purposes of a well done sitcom for acting wise storyline etc. But getting Winters and Williams playing off each other and watching the other actors try and hold it together was priceless. I enjoyed it just from that perspective but it was the beginning of the end. I mean that premise was going to lose steam quickly anyway so it was fine.

This is exactly my sentiments as well. I still watch and the characters are ok even if Gibbs is gone. It took some time but they are fine. Like you said, its just a group you want to hang out with.

Much like Craig Ferguson, I didn't watch Conan much when he was on the air other than through clips. But he is REALLY funny. I very much enjoy his podcast and his HBO travel shows.

289Dopesick3

I only had Dopesick out of this group. So far all three shows I have had on my lists were nominated by exactly three people. I wonder if they are the same three people..haha
  • Dopesick (#26): I was pleasantly surprised by this series so it may be higher than it should be on my list out of sheer expectations and exceeding them. Very well done on a difficult subject. "Based on a true story" but seemed to be very plausible in that it didn't take many liberties (or at least it didn't seem like it did). Well worth the watch if you like true story type of stuff.

This is how CBS dominates. You can come home, shut off your brain after a long day of work, and watch pretty people do fun things.

ETA: That's not a criticism. I'll watch the occasional FBI, Will Trent, or Tracker.

I had Rick and Morty in my list and honestly it should have been a little higher. Just batshit in the best way. Completely forgot about Malcolm in the Middle - that might have made it. Conan is in my list. I enjoyed Loki, but it's part of a Marvel era I don't really like where there's too much time travel and multiverses and other crap that make consequences almost nonexistent. Never watched the rest.

I similarly had NCIS, but fairly low I think. I have rewatched the first like 14 seasons many times. Once too many of the original cast started to go, that's when I stopped.

I cant believe I'm one of only 3 people with British baking show. That kinda blows my mind.

I liked Chuck and Loki but neither made my final list.
