I really like the first seasons, but I feel it overstayed its welcome. just outside the top 70 for me, maybe still top 100.
Same for me. Was gripping for a few seasons though, and it almost made my 70 on the strength of those seasons. Great show but ultimately I didn’t finish it.

MY FIRST PICKLE!!! I’ll do a write up tomorrow. Long day at work and my brain is battered. But I obviously loved this show. Good for nostalgia, good if you like corporate “history” and machinations, good if you like the history of tech, is funny enough, well acted, well produced, well written, and fell totally under the radar.

Yep. Ragnar, Rollo, Lagertha and Floki were outstanding in that show. When they were over taken by the sons and others it just lost too much to carry on. I finished it. Mostly enjoyed it, but it just wasn't the same.

  • Mary-Anne: You're right, Betty-Anne. To call us girls is wildly inappropriate. Look at you. When's the last time you saw a girl with enough pubic hair to lose her keys in? Along with the buoyant Canadian Tire key chain?
  • Mary-Anne: Your mitt's actually a work of art, Betty-Anne. Like Salvador Dali's melting clocks, but instead of melting clocks, it's melting salad bowls of off-pink ice-cream

This is one I am very curious about and it's on my list. Would love to hear specific thoughts.

I tried, gave it the first two seasons but it didn't strike a chord with me.
Same with me. Gave it a try for one season but never picked it back up. Think I’ll add it to the list and give it a go this year.

Well, at least 5 of you have good taste. Glad I had it that high or it might have not even made the list.

Travis Fimmel killed it as Ragnar and yeah, think I agree with you guys that it takes a dip but those were some large shoes to fill. I also liked Alex Hogh Anderson as Ivar.

I’m surprised how many shows are coming up I’ve never seen or even heard of. Not saying they’re bad selections, just thought I knew TV better.

I used to play the pc version in high school computers class we’d get assignments that would take like 3 days but I’d do them in 30 minutes (basic stuff if you owned a computer)

Play that or pinball or flirt with hot chicks

It was one of our favorites to play after a few drinks. Such a fun game.

Same here, once they lost Ragnar, they pretty much lost me. They just didn't pull off making the sons as interesting as Ragnar.

Are these those annoying unfunny guys in the commercials? I'll never be able to watch this show.

FWIW, they aren’t anything like those commercials in the show.

Doesn't matter at this point.

I can't remember who here recommended this but glad they did. I don't think it's highly known/appreciated.

Letterkenny is amazing. It definitely has some misses but the banter is great and I love the fighting

Some of the subtle Canadian jabs like “hi dere” when making fun of their accents killed me

The Quebec hockey player Jean-Jacques François Jacques Jean :lmao:

All the chirps especially Betty Anne vs Mary Anne and their mitts
Nice onesie, that come in men’s?

I have to admit that I have not even heard of about 75% of this list so far and probably have not watched about 90% . I guess I was too busy doing things outside as a kid and then too busy working for the next 40 years after that. Maybe now I will have time to check some of these out.

Way too low for White Lotus. I understand not having people to root for isn't everyone's cup of tea, but this is one of the most smartly written shows on TV right now and it shows no signs of jumping any sharks anytime soon.
Season one was wonderful. Could be because I worked at that resort briefly, but overall it was just a storyline that sucked you in. Season two kept you sucked in also. Both seasons had great casts and crazy writing. Season three has been meh after 2 episodes for me. Lots of character build up and not much else. If this current season was the opening season then my interest wouldn't be as high. Let's hope this season catches fire, which I know it definitely can. Imo

Television viewing is very splintered in the age of streaming.

I did enjoy it but it was only two seasons (and not done) at the time we made our lists.

White Lotus is fun but it didn’t make my Top 70. Might have made my Top 125 or something, though.

Andor is the only TV Star Wars thing I’ve watched that I thought was any good (I’ve been entertained by others but they’re pretty shoddy), and I thought it was excellent - almost like it was made by 100% different people/studio/service. Hopefully season 2 keeps it going.

Prequel series to Star Wars' 'Rogue One'. In an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue, Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a Rebel hero.

Thought hard about this one. Excited for season 2.

Up next, a series that is currently airing, and the current season is regarded so highly so far, that I bet a number of you would love the chance to bump the show up your lists. I know I would.

I guess I was too busy doing things outside as a kid and then too busy working for the next 40 years after that.

Yeah I was probably outside from 10-10 as a kid then I’d stay up late watching HBO then get up the next day and watch cartoons before heading out
Yeah, some of us are just built different. Not everyone is for this TV life.
Oh I’ve consumed a ton of screen time in my life, just saying I did other stuff too. But rainy day or winter I was probably playing Nintendo or watching TV

The biggest thing for me is being a night person. Even when I had to be up at 6 am I’d be up until 11-11:30.
