I haven't watched tonight's episode yet, but there was a lot of discussion about this last season. There is very little criticism, but you have to remember that they're coaches, not critics. I have noticed a lot more criticism this season than last, though.ETA- last week's criticism from Christina towards her Mickey Mouse Club bud was the worst I remember, and completely out of line IMO.Okay, do they never criticize people on this show? That performance of Halo was a mess. I mean the guy's got a crazy voice with a huge range, but the performance was still a mess.
Yes, until she took way too much of her clothes off.Wow, haven't watched in over a month, Christina is looking much better.

I never said she looks good, just better than a month ago, but I agree we saw wayyyy too much of her tonight.Yeah she needs to stay away from those types of outfits, but seems to be headed in the right direction.Yes, until she took way too much of her clothes off.Wow, haven't watched in over a month, Christina is looking much better.I never said she looks good, just better than a month ago, but I agree we saw wayyyy too much of her tonight.
I think there may be some strategery going on where the judges heap more praise the opposing judges' weaker contestsnts so that they're more reluctant to cut them.Okay, do they never criticize people on this show? I didn't see why everyone thought he was so good. whiny with bad inflection. Can't believe she cut Jesse.
Yea I don't see the reason for the outrage. The guy has essentially been the same since the start. He has a voice, but zero charisma or showmanship. Can't believe she cut Jesse.
I was flipping between this and House, so I missed when she actually said it, but was very surprised to see him standing there as the cut. think she figured a 42 year old could not win. I did think when he performed that she was doing everything she could to make him look young/relevant with the song choice and hat. I thought she would cut Lindsay, because of the look on her face when it was announced Lindsay went through a couple of weeks ago. Can't believe she cut Jesse.
Sorry, I didn't realize they changed the name of the show to The Charisma.Yea I don't see the reason for the outrage. The guy has essentially been the same since the start. He has a voice, but zero charisma or showmanship. Can't believe she cut Jesse.
She babbled on so long there wasn't any time for Blake. It was about going forward and she hadn't really seen any growth in Jessie like she had in some of the others. What reason did she give for picking Jessie? Still think it is the age thing, but obviously wouldn't expect her to say that.
Thx. She sure did. I was trying to watch House, but catch the elimination. Every time I flipped back, she was still in her set up. so I switched back. The growth argument is a pretty easy out when you're comparing him to less experienced singers. Has anyone been watching the i Tunes numbers? I know Blake has tracked that to see popularity. Wonder if Jesse has been lagging and Cristina knew it.She babbled on so long there wasn't any time for Blake. I think she felt he wasn't going to cut it long term and has hitched herself to Ashley/Lindsey. From last night so far not sure how Jessie has done in the past50. Against All Odds - Jermaine Paul58. This is interesting. I didn't think Jesse was strong this week. He finished great, but overall, I didn't like the song or his presentation of it. That said, I thought Lindsey was really bad last night. Typically I think she has been pretty good; not last night (for me). Jermaine had a good night and the downloads seem to be consistent with such. RaeLynn's singing was so-so, but her overall performance was great for her song. However, she sounded horrible on the group song with Blake, imo. That whole song was a train wreck.I think she felt he wasn't going to cut it long term and has hitched herself to Ashley/Lindsey. Jesse was all over the place pitch-wise in the beginning and then screamed for a minute straight at the end. This is interesting. I didn't think Jesse was strong this week. I admittedly don't like country music, but I want to punch this one in the face - the Fat Albert voice she uses every other verse is maddening.RaeLynn's singing was so-so, but her overall performance was great for her song.
Not a fan of that either. She busted that out in their group song. Okay, it was 42 seconds at the end, not a full minute: Too loud. I respect the vocal ability it took to do this, but it still hurt my ears.'mlball77 said:I thought he finished strong with a couple of big notes at the end, but yeah, outside of that, he had a bad night.'bigbottom said:Jesse was all over the place pitch-wise in the beginning and then screamed for a minute straight at the end.'mlball77 said:This is interesting. Convenient.(I agree.)I think the tricky thing about Lindsy is that her style is supposed to be out of tune. So when you hear her sing flat or sharp, it's not something you can really criticize.

The drama is getting overworked on The Voice and Idol. Christina looks totally bored when the spotlight isn't on her, then the tears come out and she is up on stage with her two best friends. I thought, for sure, RaeLynn was a keeper for Blake. CeeLo doesn't know what to say without reading his notes and clears his voice everytime he speaks. Adam pours adoration over everyone before his "feedback".Totally shocked that Blake cut RaeLynn. Happy, though! Was sorry to see Ashley go. I am not a Lindsay fan, but apparently Christina is.
Yep. Not liking it as much as last year.Actually forgot it was on last night until a friend called me between the Christina and Blake saves, so I didn't even see hers. Idol I expect drama from (also X Factor), but Voice was better than that. The drama is getting overworked on The Voice and Idol. Neither Bieber or Christina fan but that was priceless!
Yeah, RaeLynn out was surprising. But I was happy too.Seems like Lindsey (for Christina) and Jermaine (for Blake) are the heavy favorites to make the finals for their teams.Totally shocked that Blake cut RaeLynn. Happy, though! I've only been watching this show sporadically, so I'm not all that familiar with the contestants. RaeLynn has a weird affect to her voice, and sort of reminds me of one of those creepy dolls with the eyes that open and close, but at least she's somewhat unique. Is the woman who was saved really better? I mean, I've heard that exact same performance of Proud Mary about a thousand times.Yeah, RaeLynn out was surprising. No, I don't think she was necessarily that much better. I actually think RaeLynn is a fairly talented performer overall, I just find her voice very annoying at times. I don't think either of those two ladies are particularly good, unfortunately for Blake. -This is why I think Jermaine is the huge favorite to be the finalist from this group.I've only been watching this show sporadically, so I'm not all that familiar with the contestants. Her father wss ill with cancer and passed away while she was away from home doing the show. Apparently Blake's father passed away three weeks later. I expect it is hard for Blake to be totally objective with her.'bigbottom said:Is the woman who was saved really better? Agree. Don't know how James got as far as he did. Been watching The Voice Australia Here after catching Rachael Leahcar audition (who is blind) the other day. Cute girl. Great voice. They have some really good talent, better then those here imo.Seemed like they kicked the right/obvious people last night. James especially got on my nerves.
Seemed like Cee Lo manufactured the Ladies Man persona for him in hopes it would be self-fulfilling.Agree. Don't know how James got as far as he did.
I know she's popular, but I am not a fan. So she is my pick for Cee Lo's cut.I like Katrina and Jamar, so i guess I am hoping for a Mattai cut. Adam might cut Katrina, though. Has anyone seen itunes downlaod numbers from last night?I agree that the right cuts were made. I don't know who I'd cut on Ce-Lo's team tonight. And I'm not sure I care who on Adam's team makes it.Juliet looks strange as a blond.
That trick with Baby Hit Me One More Time has been done before and better IMO. Marty Casey killed it on Rock Star: INXS a few years ago.
To bad we didn't get the Jordis that was on Rock Star: Inxs. Going in she was my pick to win The Voice. That trick with Baby Hit Me One More Time has been done before and better IMO. Marty Casey killed it on Rock Star: INXS a few years ago.
Having Blake as a coach didn't do her any favors, imo.I liked the "Hit Me Baby One More Time" cover last night. Wasn't phenomenal, but it was solid. Plus, on Adam's weak team, Tony might be his best bet. That trick with Baby Hit Me One More Time has been done before and better IMO. Marty Casey killed it on Rock Star: INXS a few years ago.
