Personally, I think that if you remove Theismann, Kornheiser won't have anyone to poke fun at anymore and he and Tirico would turn into a very interesting booth.

what makes this so funny is that any idiot can poke holes in 90% of what Theisman says. BUT...Kornheiser is just as stupid as Theisman and thus, they both end up looking like morons in the end.

Theisman is a pompous jerk, but at least he knows what he is talking about. Only a few dozen people have QB'd a team to a Super Bowl win, so he has some insight that few others possess. Putting Kornheiser in the booth to antogonize Joe regarding semantics is foolish because it adds zero value. There are millions of people that can make smart ### comments and literal interpretations regarding what other people say, so its just not very entertaining to listen to Kornheiser try and make Theismann into his Wilbon for mindless banter while a game is going on in the middle of it.

Kornheiser is obnoxious, has no knowledge and makes stupid comments.He's worse than Dennis Miller and Dierdorf.

My favorite exchange had to be Kornheiser harping on the Cardinals staying agressive, but noting that that doesnt mean that shouldnt run the ball. But run agressively. I guess Greene should have sent in the play: 'Dive Right- but agressively.'

The problem is the NFL has decided that they need an average jerk off the street in the booth to provide the 'every man' quesions that Theismann can answer. The problem with that is that most football fans are smarter than the NFL gives them credit for and Theismann (and Kornheiser) are dumber.The even bigger problem is that a lot of people intentionally dont watch football with people that that dont know much but insist on talking a lot- because it is annoying. Not sure why they thought that phenominon would translate into good television. Do they put some dumb ### on Lost to share his lamebrained thoughts on how weird the island is?

He Jaworski and the other guy were the best t.v. crew I've seen/heard in years.ESPN's presentation of pro football is flat out awful. Lose the music videos, lose the booth guests who have nothing to do with football and everything to do with self promotion/cross advertising for the network and get some real announcers. Marv and Boomer on radio own 95% of all booth crews. Too bad Boomer doesn't seem to translate well to t.v.

Fouts is great. His problem is he's a good time Joe (no pun intended). He does call it like he sees it, but he's not controversial and he's not in your face - rather he's very lighthearted, jocular and jovial. I guess someone thinks viewers need to be constantly irritated or they won't pay attention, and Fouts is the exact opposite of that.

You do realize that your not watching it doesn't have any effect on ESPN or the ratings, right? Unless you're a Nielsen family.If you want to get them to make a change, either write them and tell them, or go find some Nielsen family's whose viewing habits the ratings are derived from, and convince THEM to stop watching.

I'm probably alone on this, but I just don't care about announcers at all. I've never liked or disliked anyone more than anyone else...it just doesn't matter to me. I watch football to watch the football game.

I actually tried to turn off the TV volume for the ATL/NO game and just listen to the radio, but the radio's audio was WAAAAAY ahead of my DirecTV feed. I used to love MNF commentary but it's flat out terrible now.BTW.. I enjoyed listening to Charles though.

Exactly. I've tried the radio deal before but they're never together. :(

I like Thiesman, I think he's funny and I do appreciate his knowledge. The problem is Kornhieser is so busy trying to impress us with "painting a picture story" that he rambles on and on about meaningless BS. He flip flopped 10 freaking times last night.

The floppin was all JT last night. JT liked the play calling and then he didn't. He wanted them to pass and then he wanted them to run. When they did what he was looking for, he wanted the opposite. The one thing from last night that was great , besides Sir Charles, was that Kornhole called him out. When TK said, "which do you want Joe, for them to pass or for them to run?" I laughed out loud and said, "YEAH JOE" to the TV. JT's only tolerable this year due to Kornhole being so much worse. Joe's gotta go. I guess he's full of knowledge but is so pompous while it spews from his mouth. He try's to sound like he always knows what's happening inside the minds of any player or coach. Who cares what JT personally thinks is happening. Anyone else notice that JT seemed ready to rumble last night. Like he wanted to come off as "THE" guy on the broadcast. He's a waste of time and all our energy. Start the chant, "JOE MUST GO!"

Why is there an obligation to suggest a replacement?

I, for one, have grown very weary of the whole "these guys are idiots and get them off the air" complaints. When your team's QB sucks, you don't just start a "yank'em" chant, you start a chant for his backup (i.e. - the Titans recent "Veeee-Whyyy" chants when Kerry Collins was throwing bags of vomit all over the field)I'm not saying I don't agree, but how many freaking ways can the same thing be said?Me?I agree with those that think Aikman should be in there and I'm also looking forward to the Gumble/Collinsworth team on the NFL Network games coming up next month.
