I think I was ahead of the curve with this thread. All of the illnesses at Chipotle I believe can be traced back to a lax attitude regarding cleanliness and food safety by their employees. I have seen ingredients fall out of the bowl or tortilla while they're making it and they just take it off that dirty counter and throw it back in there. Workers skipping the tongs, just grabbing lettuce with their latex gloved hands for salads. You're touching everything with those gloves, including the trash can in my case. I'm glad i walked out that day. I could've been a statistic, maybe even patient zero.
I would also like to formally propose and addition to the spit guard. Right now it is just in front of the food at an angle, I would like to see the guard continue
over the food, like this:
