THIS IS THEIR BEST SONG! - Music Draft - Saturday Night's Alright for iFighting (2 Viewers)

Chaos Commish, whose name alone should mean he is the perfect person to run this particular draft, has said we'll do one-pick-per-day from Thursday-Sunday, then go back to a clock on Monday.

Doubt anyone will be able to keep up with that breakneck pace.

Seriously, most people should be able to handle some kind of modified clock or be able to make their picks at a later time since they are not forfeited.

:Sigh:

The first pick in this draft was November 8, and we are through 12 rounds.  Everyone having a pick a day will actually be faster than we've been going.

Might have something to do with the draft stalling completely for almost the entire last weekend.

I don't believe one pick a day will be faster than a modified clock where people can fill in their picks at a later time (which I will note again are not forfeited).

The first pick in this draft was November 8, and as of the time the clock went off on Friday, November 19, we were through 9 rounds.  Everyone having a pick a day will actually be faster than we were going before last weekend.

But why ask people to track a clock during the holiday weekend? The clock requires people to monitor it and @ someone when another has timed out, etc. Isn't it simpler for everyone to just do a pick a day. Nobody has their picks forfeited that way either.

Yeah, what’s the rush?  No need for a clock on the holidays. One pick a day is best so we don’t get stuck for the people who are around to draft.

Dr. Z timed out and can select two whenever he wishes.

@zamboniOTC
Thanks Krista!

I chose this song because I think it’s the most complete start to finish. They have some awesome songs with great lines/hooks (Paid in Full, Microphone Fiend, etc) that have a lot of filler at times. This is a great early morning running song too.

I guarantee I will not be doing this.

I ordered some new furniture a few months ago, and it's being delivered tomorrow between 9-12.  I scheduled 1-800-GOT-JUNK to pick up the old stuff between 8-10.  Please pray that the junk people get here before the other guys.  If not, how much do I need to offer the new furniture guys to move the old stuff into the garage?  It's a (rather large) couch and a chair-and-a-half.

No stairs or anything? I would offer them $50 extra. It's the holidays and all. Plus if one of them was to get hurt, you are asking them to lie about what they were moving.

$100 each on top of what you’d tip them for the delivery? I’m not sure really. Hopefully it works out.

I decided to make my BiL's donkey poo xmas present more fun. I went to Home Depot and got him the two bags of disgusting steer sludge he asked for. This is subterfuge. I also grabbed a bright red plastic container. I transferred the poo to the new container, wrapped it in plastic, set it in a big ol' Amazon box, and gift wrapped it. :)

It's 68 pounds, huge, has a million Santas on it, and will sit under my sister's tree for a month.  They're going to be so curious. They'll probably figure it's some clay bird bath or garden gnome or such. haha. They get poo.

DART and Salvation Army will do furniture pickups here. If they do so there, I doubt they can schedule fast enough, but who knows?

I have decided who my next pick will be. An absolute GOAT that I think is just ridiculously underappreciated.

Also, my wife got boosted yesterday so she's feeling it today and I've got a lot of time to myself while she rests. So I reserve the right to change course.

Ok, I was $50 per person but I get 100 as well. Really depends on how large, how long it takes and if the path has any challenges.

The couch is large, but not crazy-heavy because it's not a sleeper sofa.  I used to feel awful for movers when they had to move those.  The garage is about 15 feet away.  I think OH and I could get the chair out there ourselves, but not the sofa.

This stuff is torn up by kitty claws and not saleable; otherwise I could do Habitat for Humanity.  :(

What?  I tipped each dude who moved my stuff over a 3 hour period $50 and they were elated.
The catch here IMO is she's asking delivery people to move stuff they aren't delivering. Technically, I am sure they are "not allowed" to move Krista's existing furniture. If one of them gets hurt moving her old couch, they would have to lie to their boss, insurance, etc. on what happened.

Yeah, this is a very good point.

Come to think of it, the back door is right off the living room, and at worst OH and I could toss the stuff out back for the junk guys when they come.  I'm sure I could move it that far.

we just went through this.

we didn't figure they would take the old one- they weren't supposed to, according to the furniture company. NYC furniture removal is a PITA too. So we just asked the guys when they came and offered them $50. The guy called somebody, got the ok, and off they went with our old sofa... saving us a lot of headache.

We'll finish this draft before JML's U2 thread hits gets to his top forty

The tipping is for their job which they’re also getting paid for. It’s a bonus.

Moving her furniture is a separate ask. Admittedly maybe that was too high. It also depends on where you are too I guess. Maybe I shouldn’t have given a specific answer afterall. 😀

Juicy is the clear choice to me but Notorious Thugs is his best verse

We just sitting here tryna win, try not to sin
High off weed and lots of gin
So much smoke need oxygen, steadily counting them Benjamins

Also, the Biggie documentary on Netflix was awesome, "Biggie:  I Got a A Story to Tell."

Given the run on anything grunge era I'm shocked Hole was still on the board.
Back in my submarine days life was all about practice and drills.  We would sometimes simulate a shortage of potable water over a period of a week or two where showers were verboten.  Do you know what we called that?

Grunge Run.

ETA: Memory is rusty.  I don't think it was a potable water concern, but rather it was about running silent.
