Thoughts on Shaun Alexander? (1 Viewer)

My gut tells me some team is going to sign him and he'll be a worthwhile WW gamble. Anyone have any insight into what's going on with him? I've heard rumblings about going to Cinci but that's about it. Houston should look at him. Green is just about dead and Slaton isn't ready to carry the torch.

The Houston scheme does not suit SA's running style. Houston is a one cut system. SA is the opposite of a one cut then go north and south back. SA's style is much more deliberate. I think SA can still play, but the fact that he has never been a great receiver out of the backfield and can't play special teams certainly limits his prospects.

not really true. 59/460/2 in 2002.

49/295/2 in 2003.

Then Holmgren changed his 3rd down packages and stopped throwing to him.

Maybe he will be a little healthier now with the break he's had. I think much of his decline was due to all the work he's had. Injuries certainly limited him the last couple of years. Maybe not having to go through a full training camp will have rejuvenated him some. Who knows? :goodposting:

i picked him up on the free for all...hopefully someone goes down and picks him up and I still a pick up with ease....maybe im just dreaming...
