Tiger Woods (1 Viewer)

FFA favorite Mickelson is only 16 strokes behind Tiger. Did he have a rough flight in? We need to hear more about that.
I'm sure Phil would gladly trade his British Open win to get that HUGE Bridgestone Invitational win. LOLOL
And Im sure Tiger would trade All of his majors just to impress a few in the FFA.
Ahhhh, the good old days. Tiger winning majors. Seems like a lifetime ago.

For sure. Best low-pressure golfer in the game today. Tiger Romo.

Like clockwork....Tiger leads another Mom and Pop tournament. This will get his groupies in a tizzy in anticipation of Tiger finally winning a major next weekend.

Meanwhile the rest of us will kick back and wait for the inevitable choke.

The legend of "Finless" continues to grow.

And like clockwork...a great round produces a post like this where somebody claims anyone is in any tizzy other than the shot he had at a historic number.

At a tournament that is not quite mom and pop...but the posters like you in this thread always like to think they all are huh?

Seems they are the only 2 to really use ham n egger constantly...
It's him. Not just the ham and egger, but the tone and writing style.
i can confirm this.

5-1? Seriously? I realize 36 holes is a lot of golf left, but you'd have to be an idiot to take the field with the way he's hitting the ball and putting and it's a course he could play in the dark.

Rip off artist just like TebowCo. When you are a legend like FavreCo, you get impersonators.

In the last 25 years only two golfers have won more than four PGA tournaments in a calendar year.

Vijay won 9 in 2004.

Woods won more than four from 1999-2009, except 2008 (4).

So with five wins after Sunday he's having a better year than all but one golfer not named Tiger has put together in the last quarter century.

Not done. Dominant. Fearsome.

But Jack might still be out of the Woods.

He still seems to be having issues with late pressure, which I suspect was the case again today. But when you're blowing the field out of the water when you turn for home on Sunday, it's irrelevant. He might start eventually thinking about changing course from his Haney era strategy of hanging around and start getting more aggressive early.

:goodposting:

Similar to poker these days. Play aggressive and if you get a big chip stack (4-5 shot lead) great...if you bust out (make a couple double bogeys) no big deal. Just gotta close the deal 5 more times

When you're the #1 golfer in the world by this margin, and you're winning tournaments at nearly a record pace, I'm pretty sure you don't bother doing a damn thing with your strategy. The majors will come, all a matter of time.

But they're not coming. And it appears that it's due to nerves. All his wins this year he's stumbled coming in, but he had such a big lead that it didn't matter. All of the Majors he's been in contention in dating back to YE Yang he's become shaky. He needs a strategy to deal with it. 37 year old nerves aren't the same as 21 year old nerves. Or 30 year old nerves. He used to slam the door Fred Flintstone style. He does the opposite now.
