I think even they have to be tired of 'Chicken Little' Woods. So many times he has shot a round of par, talked about how it's coming around and bringing them to this thread only to make them look foolish time and time again. It's getting to the point that I'm almost pulling for him to win another major, just to bring all of the fanboys back out of the woodwork and stoke their flagging passion.
I'm hoping he finishes just off the lead at Bay Hill or one of his other favorite courses so the fanboys select him in the salary cap Masters pools. It's getting to the point that I'm almost pulling for him to win another major, just to bring all of the fanboys back out of the woodwork and stoke their flagging passion.
you're silly.Silly for the fans boys to chime in when he has a good round, equally silly for the haters to chirp today after his first round in months.
Sounds like another terrible excuse.Silly for the fans boys to chime in when he has a good round, equally silly for the haters to chirp today after his first round in months.
He has to have been practicing a bunch ahead of his first tournament back though - I'm guessing anyway.Baloney Sandwich said:Silly for the fans boys to chime in when he has a good round, equally silly for the haters to chirp today after his first round in months.
I thought it was dumb for him to come back so soon form back surgery for that stretch between The Open and Bridgestone. I figured a couple more months of rest/workout would give us a better view of what he has left.Baloney Sandwich said:Silly for the fans boys to chime in when he has a good round, equally silly for the haters to chirp today after his first round in months.
Big difference between practice and playing a competitive round of golf on tour. Hey, I have $500 on Tiger not breaking Jack's record so I'm not rooting for the guy but I think he will be a top 10 player next year. I think it would be great of Tiger is playing well heading into the Masters. Tiger, Rory and Bubba all playing well at the Masters would be great TV.He has to have been practicing a bunch ahead of his first tournament back though - I'm guessing anyway.Baloney Sandwich said:Silly for the fans boys to chime in when he has a good round, equally silly for the haters to chirp today after his first round in months.
Because if there's one thing Tiger is great at, it's public speaking.Joe T said:He should just retire. Take over Johnny Miller's job.
Are you sure those aren't the odds that he will make the cut?Woods is 15/1 to win the Masters.

I say this all of the time, but those odds don't indicate who they think will win. They indicate who they think the public will bet on.Woods is 15/1 to win the Masters.

Can you unpack this? Has he been playing well?Based on the way he was swinging the club at Isleworth, I'll take 15/1. If that really is the odds, I'll be putting $20 down.
ExplainWhat is the origin of the term "unpack," which I've never heard anywhere other than here?
As for Tiger: save your $20. The guy will never win another major.
Pick a younger guy with good value odds and put your money on him.
I've deduced its meaning, but I hadn't heard the term before. It seems like one of the internet forum copycat words that make people feel like they're cool.ExplainWhat is the origin of the term "unpack," which I've never heard anywhere other than here?

I've only ever used my coworker's Bovada account, which has him at 10. Have you ever used any of those at 16? Sporting Bet or Bet Fred?
Hmmm, Tiger's not bulked up anymore. Probably just a clean diet!“Tiger keeps alluding to the fact that he wants to go back and swing like he did in 2000, and who wouldn't?” Chamblee said. “He’s got to go back and have the body that he had in 2000. He needs to be more sinewy. Now, I've heard that he's lost a lot of weight, and I don't know if that's by design or by consequence, but, regardless, I think that's a step in the right direction.”
I hope he wins because he's the best thing that ever happened to golfI hope he wins just to get all the Tiger homers frothing in this thread again.
