Tiger Woods (4 Viewers)

This thread reminds me of a global warming thread. It's hot out. Damn global warming. It's cold out. What global warming? :shrug:AJ, what do you think about courses being setup this difficult? I understand not wanting guys to shoot -18, but do you think this is a true test of golf skill or a test of luck?
US Open is not much different than a British Open in terms of course difficulty, when it comes to lucky/unlcuky bounces

He's been taking something. I've thought that for years. He is deceptively built. Very strong. Maybe not a LB but a CB or RB certainly.
Yea I was one of those saying that too. Not just that he's strong but becoming so strong while having to practice many hours on golf. Would seem hard to have enough time or energy to balance the two.
not hard at all, lift weights for strength 3-4 times per week for 45 mins tops. The weight training would actually increase his overall energy reserves. Hell i have less free time than tiger and i work it into my schedule, its not that big a deal.

I think people who believe he's juicing are comparing him to other golfers. Apparently the guy is a fitness nut.. SEAL training, distance running, etc. Why is it impossible for a golfer to look like your average NFL WR/CB?

:goodposting: It's funny how people that don't lift believe anyone with muscles is on steroids :lmao:

I still don't get why people think steroids or HGH would be any real help in golf. It's not about strength, it's about height, flexibility, technique and risk/reward calculation. This is the longest hitter on the PGA Tour. #2. #3.

Maybe Tiger was taking them to help him overcome injuries, but if so they didn't do a very good job. I don't remember any other elite golfer in the last five years having as much trouble with injuries as Tiger did.

They wouldn't. Which is why nobody with any awareness of the game engages in this conversation.

Exhibit A: Jamie Sadlowski

One of the longest hitters in the world and he's only 5'10" and 170 pounds.

Positioning himself for the weekend comeback.
Flap - do you play golf? I mean really try to play golf. You seem like a good guy. I am prepared to host a couple days of golfs and liquors. I simply have to meet you. I cannot believe you are for real.
No idea why you are taking this so personally. I remember you helping me pick out some clubs a couple years back, which I greatly appreciated. I'm not sure why you're so up in arms about me giving Tiger a hard time. It doesn't mean I'm the pos you say I am. But if that's what you want to think, it's your choice.

Hey - its an honest invitation. No shctick. You are welcome here. I think you would have a good time. Even if you are a lousy golfer.

I'm a lousy golfer, and I'm sure you would have a great time laughing at me. I do try to play, just not very well.

In the lead headed to the back 9.

I'm following on my phone from the beach, but stats wise he seems to be having a solid ball striking, let the round come to me type day.

It's a major championship venue. I think he will win at least one more. Not sure if he will catch Jack. Looking forward to seeing him in my home state next week for the first time.

"Woods moved to the top of the PGA Tour money list and the FedEx Cup standings for the first time since September 2009."

Can we put this silly thread to rest yet?

:banned:

if, IF, he stays healthy, i say he gets snead's and jack's records by 2017. if he doesn't, he'll only get snead's.

golf is better when tiger is in contention.

My favorite crow thread running.
Update? How many majors has Tiger won since this thread was started?

Total chokefest for Woods today. Shot himself out of the tournament.
The truth doesn't fly in this thread brah. Similar to last time, Otis and the select few in here will disappear for a few months until Tiger wins again, and then say the rest of us were dead wrong! My prediction of two wins and no majors appears to still be safe, most likely. Of course that won't be mentioned until Tiger wins again. :drive:
Kind of how you and zoo and others were missing for the first 2 days of the tournament only to show up now?
Of course they did. The reality is that Rory, Phil and all the other "top" players in the world aren't even around today to compete. Tiger had one rough day on a hard course after two great days, and he is still in contention here.

BT FIN WUZ RIGHT SEE HE MADE A BAD CHIP ON 18!1
I lovbe how you keep blowing loads all over the place whenever Woods has a good round. Calling out Finless and acting like three years of him being correct will suddenly make him, and all the detractors, wrong. You make such a fool of yourself. But keep doing it. Your humiliation is a great source of comedy for everyone else. :lmao:
:hifive:

YEAH OK BUT HES STILL NOT DOMINANT LIKE B4!!1111 OH AND IT WUZNT A MAJOR!1
That's the thing when it comes to most golf fans. He hasn't won a major in a long time.If he wins one, with his stat line so far this season, people will start to think of him as old Tiger. But he could win the rest of the year's tournaments (escluding the majors) and be viewed as failing

Thats just not true...If he wins the rest of the non majors he will have won 10 tournaments. Pretty sure that is not failing.

In order to get to old tiger he will have to do a lot more than win 1 major...Old Tiger isnt happening. Nobody thinks it will. Not even his biggest fans and probably himself.

I would, however, say a rise back to world #1 would constitute a successful season in most golf followers eyes. The guy was completely lost last year and if he does as you say will rise back to where he once was. Just not by as wide a margin.

All you do is make yourself look like more of an ### everytime you blow your wad when Woods wins a match. Read post number one of this thread. Woods was the most dominant golfer in the sport's history. Finless predicted his downfall. The statement was also made that he will not break Nicklaus' record, which at one time looked like a lead pipe lock. Are you denying that Finless was correct and took an unprecedented plunge? Did Finless or I or anyone else claim he'd never win another tournament? What is your point when you come here after any win (or anytime he's even leading a tournament) with a raging hardon? Does that erase his meteoric plummet from his perch? Does it get him any closer to JAck's record? Or are you really just a fourteen year old posting from your mommy's computer?

I think most of us know the answers to these questions.

Wins a match? It called a tournament. Do you call where they play a "golf field" too? I think you dropped your Wal-Mart scoring watch and "tri-chipper" back there Chi Chi.

Oh my, with that kind of reply, I can only assume that the previous post was spot on.
