CRUSHING IT!!!!Are people getting crazy in here yet?
Yeah, 4 back now. Only Rose and Herschel under par so far. Incredible how tough this course is playing. These were supposed to be the easy scoring days. Tiger shoots two 69s on the weekend and he might be lifting the trophy. He'll be 4 back by days end, haters.
He'll be 4 back by days end, haters.
Is that what the Tiger groupies have resorted to now? Says quite a bit when his most ardent supporters are now happy/satisfied to see him just 4 shots back. He's putt the ball like ####, yet still has a great chance to win this tournament. I think you laughing at his status says more about Tiger's haters than the optimism of him being 4 back says about his defenders. He'll be 4 back by days end, haters.![]()

Being 4 back of the lead means he's got a great shot to win the US Open...you're not making a strong case against the thought that in general the Haters don't know much about golf. He'll be 4 back by days end, haters.![]()

And a bum knee... and no rough sex for a while now.Top-20 on a bum wing...
Yeah because Tiger has such a great track record of coming from behind on Sunday to win.As long as he's within striking distance come Sunday we get our money's worth. Just give me some entertainment.
People hating on Tiger crack me up. Thanks for the laugh to start my weekend off.Yeah because Tiger has such a great track record of coming from behind on Sunday to win.As long as he's within striking distance come Sunday we get our money's worth. Just give me some entertainment.
I'm not hating on him, just a fact that even in his prime he was never a guy to win a tourney when he was behind heading into the final round. The idea at this point in his career he could win a major starting Sunday 3-4 strokes back is what is laughable.People hating on Tiger crack me up. He has come from behind to win on Sunday. You are talking solely about the 54 hole score, which oddly seems to be something people like to obsess over I guess since there is a period of sleep between the 54th and 55th hole? He has been behind on Sunday and won Majors. The '99 PGA for example, where he had to birdie the last two holes to get into a playoff with Bob May.Yeah because Tiger has such a great track record of coming from behind on Sunday to win.As long as he's within striking distance come Sunday we get our money's worth. Well said. Pretty clear who knows golf and who doesn't in this thread. Tiger brought the masses to golf. With it comes those who don't know the history, difficulty and nuances of the game.Being 4 back of the lead means he's got a great shot to win the US Open...you're not making a strong case against the thought that in general the Haters don't know much about golf. He'll be 4 back by days end, haters.![]()

Tiger is a great front runner, that isn't a left handed compliment either. There has never been anyone better at having the lead heading into the last round and mapping out a gameplan to win. When you are coming from behind, there is a bit more guess work in terms of how aggressive you need to be and at a US Open it is near impossible to come from 3-4 back on the final day. The course isn't set up to go low and while they might dial back the pin placements today I think Sunday will be similar to Friday. I could see someone shooting 65 or 66 today but I don't think it is likely.Laughable? Coming from 3-4 off the pace on Sunday is tough for anybody in the US Open, but he's more likely to do it than anybody else.
I heard it was his elbow.T55 Tiger Woods +4
Looks like he's back!
As long as he's within striking distance come Sunday we get our money's worth. Just give me some entertainment.
Might have to explain that one. The Tiger groupies may lose, but the average golf fan really does not give a hoot if Tiger is or is not in the mix. Although, I must admit it makes for great TV when Tiger takes his normal dump in a major. As long as he's within striking distance come Sunday we get our money's worth. There's others I'd rather have win, but we all lose when Tiger isn't in the mix. Some of you seem to be cutting off the nose to spite the face.

Get the heck outta here. Any golf tournament is far more interesting when Tiger is in the mix. Tiger is like the Yankees. Plenty of people cheer for him and plenty of people cheer against him. Regardless of the side you're on, you're cheering unlike most golfers who the average fan could care less about. Not only that, but you'll bring way more casual fans into the mix if tiger is in the mix as he's one of the few names that they even know.Might have to explain that one. And you have your finger on the pulse of the "average golf fan?" People like to see great things and they like to see history. You know who has delivered more great things and more history than anybody else in the game? Ever? Yeah. But nice try.Might have to explain that one. You may want to look at the TV ratings when Tiger is on the first page, and when he's out of it.Might have to explain that one. That is this thread in a nutshell. No matter how Tiger is playing, someone is bumping this thread - everyone pays attention to Tiger.Love him, hate him, or indifferent to him, tournaments are 100% better when Woods is in contention on the weekends. There is no debate about this.
Smart decision. BTW, there is one things worse than pink outfits and it is grunge on the golf course.Agree the goatee is really stupid and he's usually terrible with it. He comes out clean shaven today and shoots 4 under.
Have you ever seen a player grimace after every shot an play several holes? A lot of times people leave the course without any grimacing. If there's a grimace, usually they are done right away.bushdocda said:I for one think its fun to watch TW grimace after every shot.
You're right....guys usually just quit when something like a tooth hurts.Have you ever seen a player grimace after every shot an play several holes? He's being dramatic, it doesn't affect him that much unless you see him lose 10+yds of distance or start spraying the ball everywhere.bushdocda said:I for one think its fun to watch TW grimace after every shot.
He has to stop that if he wants to win. No excuses. You're right....guys usually just quit when something like a tooth hurts.Have you ever seen a player grimace after every shot an play several holes? He could be a little more subtle, but Haters claimed he was faking at Torrey too.He has to stop that if he wants to win. He's laying the groundwork for his excuse if he doesn't win.Have you ever seen a player grimace after every shot an play several holes? A lot of times people leave the course without any grimacing. A winner does not need excuses. So without Tiger, you would quit watching golf?JuniorNB said:Love him, hate him, or indifferent to him, tournaments are 100% better when Woods is in contention on the weekends. There is no debate about this.
English must not be your first language. Not sure where I, or anyone, said that.So without Tiger, you would quit watching golf?JuniorNB said:Love him, hate him, or indifferent to him, tournaments are 100% better when Woods is in contention on the weekends. There is no debate about this.
I'd certainly watch a lot less.So without Tiger, you would quit watching golf?JuniorNB said:Love him, hate him, or indifferent to him, tournaments are 100% better when Woods is in contention on the weekends. There is no debate about this.
Exactly. If tiger is still six strokes and fifteen players behind tomorrow, I won't be planning my day in front of the TV. If he was within a stroke or two, I would do just that.I'd certainly watch a lot less.So without Tiger, you would quit watching golf?JuniorNB said:Love him, hate him, or indifferent to him, tournaments are 100% better when Woods is in contention on the weekends.
