Tiger Woods (4 Viewers)

It looked like he was starting to swing a little harder off the tee as the round went on. That's where things can start to get sideways for him. Would like to see a smoother tempo like we've seen with his best ball-striking rounds lately. Where it looks like he's swinging at 80-90% rather than 110%.

Alright, here we go.  Someone phone down to Scotty in the engine room, and make sure he dials up plenty of extra innernets this afternoon.

Is this the greatest and most improbable comeback ever in sports?  I mean, considering the bottom he hit, professionally, personally, physically?  And it’s amplified by the fact that he was the #1 and probably dominated a pro sport more than any other has been dominated.  Just hard to think of a more dramatic example.
I’d say so.  I’m eating crow. I thought he was finished.  The dude couldn’t walk a year ago and was crashing his car jacked up on oxy to deal with pain.  FIled surgery after failed surgery.  On his back.  When does the 4th one ever work?!  Amazing.

He is one of the best players in the world again and I’d listen to an argument that he is the best right now.  I’m shocked. But love it.  Golf is epic right now.  The Ryder Cup is going to be bananas.

I hope he brings it home today.  Am confident he will.  66 and the win.

That was a really easy swing at 1.

Rory with a bogey followed by a drive left behind the gallery. Slowly coming apart playing with Tiger.

Fear factor: check

Honestly, the format change for next year makes a lot more sense after seeing all the hoops you have to jump thru for this thing.

So basically Rose needs to play like the #3 player on a decent h.s. team (say, 37-38) for the final 9 & the FedEx Cup is his?

This one is really just a ham and egger anyway, right?
They have tried everything to make this tournament as relevant as a major.  It's been overshadowed by the NFL for a decade+ now.

The Fedex cup element of this just added confusion imo.

Golf fans know what it's all about.

So many great NFL games today, like Bills/Vikes.  So exciting.

I also think the first couple years of the FedEx cup was some eye-popping payout.  They've turned it down to the point that it's like winning some reality show type annuity paid in coupons or something.

I'm sure you could go bump one of my posts and make me look stupid, but IDGAF.

The fact the equipment today effectively neutralizes driving distance is going to make this sort of thing very possible.  I wouldn't be shocked that they only really take up equipment changes after Tiger is completely gone and buried.

What does that have to do with a guy who had the fastest swing speed on tour this year?

Even Tiger is just playing it out for the win. No dramatic fist pump on his last birdie. Just walks up with gradual acknowledgment  to the fans and picks the ball up.
