I am consistantly seeing 2 tight ends picked up in the 2nd round this year. Gronk and Graham. others usually make it to the late half of round 3 into round four and some as low as 9-10. Who is everyone's pick for most points in 2012?
My vote is Aaron Hernandez, because the Pats may want him to fill welkers shoes next year so i believe we will see more passes thrown his way this year as well. He can get good yards on FB runs and end arounds as well. I like Graham and Gronk, but graham is playing without his head coach this year, and gronk is fragile. That is my opinion, and I would love to hear yours as well.
PS are any TE really worth a 2nd round pick or will that gimp your rb too much?
Voting Graham. The Saints will still be passing a ton and barring his recent practice bangup, Graham doesn't have the slight injury issue that Gronk has.
I think Pettigrew or Fred Davis have no chance. Everyone else could do it, but my money is on Graham. Teams will make Gronk and Hernandez a focal point and I don't believe they will be consistent enough to finish #1 overall.
Pretty much why im confused by the hype at all. There is no way Lloyd eats in on Gronks redzone work or Welkers slot work.Im fully expecting a 3 WR 1 TE set quite often with Hernandez playing the WR3, the big deal being that he is the odd man out.
I'll still go with Gronk as #2, but I could see Gates (if he stays healthy) and Fred Davis (if he stays clean) having big years. Fred Davis is a major talent.

I'd vote Gronk, but I could realistically see any of those happening which I why I probably won't have Graham or Gronk on any redraft teams this year. Just not worth the 2nd round ADP when there's solid players available in the 5th-7th rounds.
Voted Gronk. Over the first two years, he averages a TD every 4.75 catches, an absolutely insane rate, but one that I think points to his likely strong involvement in the red zone. No addition to the Patriots will impact his redzone targets, and he'll still be highly targeted. I see his numbers coming down from last year, but I think his high TD % will continue and keep him at the top of the TE list.
I actually selected Gates this year. He appears healthy for the first time in the last few and the absence of VJax will only increase his value and opportunity. We all know he can easily produce those numbers, so I'll take Gates as a non-standard pick for #1 TE this year.
