Time for a little ADP love (1 Viewer)

Have you ever hear some of the stats he put up in youth football and in H.S.? The man has been dominant at every level of football he has ever played at. He's simply the best RB in the game.
This is a pretty bold statement. I have him in a keeper league and I think he is a great RB, but it's a little too early to be saying this. Would everyone here take him #1 in redraft...because I wouldn't yet.

I would rather have Steven Jackson.

Seeing how ADP had 1900 yards his freshman year, then combined for 2100 yards his last two years at OU, then had 144 yards and 2 TD's the last four weeks (FF playoffs), makes him a risky 1.1-3 pick. Well not really, I would draft him and look for the biggest fish and trade him. That guy probably needs a RB after drafting 2007 Next Best Thing - Reggie Bush.

He's Bo Jackson at worst but how can you plan on that?

CMart was considered an injury risk and he turned out OK.

His plus categories may physically outweigh his so called upright running style. You've seen him now and would you change that? Perhaps he'd be more prone to injury if he actually played "small".

I'd like to see utube clips of when he actually was hit hard...if they even exist.

Yes, ADP owner and In my keeper/dynasty I wouldnt trade him for any player and the #1. He is what I want, a plug-n-play stud at the beginning of his career.

Fair enough. He has the talent, but I don't like the Min. situation. Bad QB, Taylor still there, I know there OL is good but wouldn't you put 8-9 in the box and make Jackson beat you? I would still put LT2 at #1 with Peterson and Jackson pretty close together right now at #2 in redraft. I could easily see me taking Peterson at #2 though. I wouldn't argue much with people ranking him #1, I just am not one to have knee jerk reactions to players and would rather take the proven track record of LT2. Then again I also wasn't quick to dismiss LJ or Alexander last year and that was not a good move.

I won't argue with someone taking LT over him in a redraft. But, I wouldn't call it a "knee-jerk". If you watched him play, there is simply no question about his talent. His situation is no different than last year and arguably better with another year for TJax and Rice and the addition of Berrian. He trailed off at the end of last year, but there are reasons that could definitely explain that (injury, rookie wall). In a redraft, I see LT and AP as 1a and 1b and both have equally good chance to finish #1. There is no denying LT's track record, but there is no denying AP's talent. His #'s aren't a fluke like has been the concern for most rookies in the past.

Alright...maybe "knee jerk reaction" was a little harsh, but there seems to be this debate every year... second year "stud"rb vs. reliable stud veterans. It seems to me that the that more often than not the veteran is the safer play. There are always exceptions and there will always be an occasion where that second year player does blow-up and makes there owner very happy, I'm just one of those drafters who would rather have the proven LT2 over ADP. This is one draft that I would love to have the #2 pick this year.

True, even the play he was hurt on was not a hard hit.

Just to put things into perspective. ADP had the best rushing performance in the history of the NFL as a rookie (against a pretty good run defense) on an offense that was certifiably worse than this year's Vikings offense.
