It wouldn't shock me at all if that happened. Personally I like White better than Maroney.
This is the only thing I agree with so far.Hawk will be a top 5 pick and will probably go to the Saints.
Its not so much that Hawk is THAT much better than the top LB prospects of recent drafts, its that the Saints will be picking very high in the first, and that Hawk is EXACTLY what the doctor ordered for their D. His attitude and effort are very reminiscent of Urlacher - he's the kind of guy that can give a defense an identity, something the saints are sorely lacking. He's really a perfect fit for their needs. I see Hawk to the Saints and Ferguson to the Texans as two of the most likely pairings at this very early juncture.
Kiwanuka vs. Williams will be a great debate. I prefer Kiwanuka because he seems to make more plays than Williams does. Williams has not gotten much coaching at NCSU and is very raw despite being a 3 year starter. I tend to agree. In either case, it's no secret that Green Bay wants/needs to upgrade their DE position. Seems like Kiwanuka is the closest thing to Jason Taylor that Jim Bates would find in this draft. They're already cutting down on KGB's plays, and I'm not sure that their current sub (Montegomery) is the answer. A KGB/Kiwanuka pass rush combo would be terrifying for opposing offenses.Kiwanuka vs. Williams will be a great debate. I prefer Kiwanuka because he seems to make more plays than Williams does. I would add Haloti Ngata, DT, Oregon - I think he'll grade out similar to the DTs who have cracked the top 10 recently. If you want a guy who will consistently take up two blockers, he's your man - an absolute beast at 6'5" 340 with athletic ability to spare. I also think Jonathon Scott, an OT from Texas could creep up the boards.

I'd much prefer that they go RB in the 1st round. Pair Reggie Bush with mentor C-Mart. Look for a serviceable QB in the used market during the off-season, worst case Fiedler can run the team. RB and then O-Line should be primary areas of emphasis. Herm, for better or worse, will be back for 2006.
I take it you're a Jets fan. Are you saying if you had a choice between Leinert and Bush you'd want Leinert? Instead of a successor to CMart?
Someone else mentioned the OL depth this year, so I'll add what I've been reading.Ferguson and Winston will compete for the highest grade. Most expect D'Brick to be a top five pick with a possibility of going #1 overall. Marcus McNeil and John Scott could both work their way into the top 10. Andrew Whitworth and Jeremy Trueblood should also go in the first 20-23 picks. These are all Tackles. Greg Elsinger is a dominant Center out of Minnesota who will have a first round grade, and could go before a few of these Tackles. Max Gean-Gilles, a monster guard from Georgia has the same opportunity as Elsinger to move ahead of a couple Tackles. From smaller schools both Darryn Colledge (Boise St) and Kevin Boothe (Cornell) can test their way into the first round. That's just the seniors. Joe Thomas, Winston Justice, and Justin Blaylock are all Juniors with strong possibilities of declaring who could grade out after McNeil and before the others. That's 13 OLs with a possible 1st round grade, and at least 8 of them guaranteed. I probably missed someone, and I was told this weekend that Fresno State's center (name?) would be another possible 1st rounder should he declare. No doubt there's riches at OL in the 06 draft and while boring for us fantasy freaks, I think the smartest NFL teams will exploit the resource this year. I'll be surprised if less than 10 OLs go in the first round.

Right. Given this scenario of who picks were, I think it would be crazy if none of the GM's for the Jets, Saints, Cardinals, or Ravens tried to move up to #1 and snag Leinart.
Dont forget the Lions.Or even *gasp* the Titans? McNair is due a big bonus, and Volek is not nearly as attractive an option long term as Leinart, and could bring some picks in a trade. It seems obvious, but why wouldnt you want to reunite a QB with the OC that he flourished with in college?
